Just a little note. Since version 1.3.3, the grip levels have been a bit reduced on this track and so times will be a bit slower, I hopped on for a few laps today and did a 2:00.2, probably could see it back in the 1:59s with a little more time but just know that the laptime in this video was driven prior to 1.3.3. The info in this video still applies though, I'd suggest being a little more cautious in the fast corners where I went 100% throttle here, its still possible but you need a very precise line for it.
Was able to consistently do 2:04-2:05 with the M6. Mostly having confidence issues on the middle section of the hill (kerbs spin me around, so its hard to keep close mentally) and definitely that first part of the downhill (mind you this was after about maybe 30-45 minutes, haven't had much time to practice). I also find an issue with consistency daytoday with my setup as I'm doing wheel clamped to desk and normal desk chair, I feel as if I'm sitting in a different position every time. Is there any way to try and make it as consistent as possible until I can afford something better (possibly markings on my desk, etc?)
As usual great video mate. I'm doing Assetto Corsa Competizione on ps4 so i won't compare my times with yours as on some tracks ps4 is faster with higher traction and on others it's seconds slower due to much lower traction available. Love ACC against full AI i only managed to win by .117 literally on the line in 12hr Intercontinental race.
Fantastic guide, I clicked mostly to see the 1:59 lap, but was already invested into learning within the first 30 seconds of the video. This is a perfect guide for people like me learn with audio and visual cues to actually grasp the track. Please make more, subscribing immediately!
Have you thought about doing a pit entry lap guide for these tracks? I lose so much time slowing down and braking too early as all the other cars ghost through me. I feel like on some tracks the pit limiter sign is not always clear and im slowing too early or speeding in the pit lane.
Unbelievable driving - I sat there slack-jawed watching that lap. Just about to build a new gaming PC so I can play AC and other racing sims and having ridden and driven around Bathurst so many times (not racing) I just can't wait to be able to try and get into that track. Great video - definitely bookmarked!
Thanks for the setup and the video. I am struggling to get a 2:03 at the moment in the bentley with the standard aggressive setup and it is very frustrating...
@Mauro Fernandes I am driving now 03-04 pretty much constant. Only problem I have that I am too nervous in races at the moment.. Had my problems with the ferrari in the beginning and I increased the rear wing by 2 so that it is more stable on the rear axis (in my understanding). Did some laps and then slowly decreased the rear wing again by 1. Pretty happy now :)
On turn 21 (first left after Conrod straight), I've had success carrying a bit more speed by hanging out a little longer before turning in. Seems to get the car at the right angle to get on the throttle earlier. Love the guides. Thank you!
I have watched many lap guides and find yours to be the best: precise, short, to the point. I can predict my laptimes exactly too because i have consistently 3-4 seconds slower than you in many many tracks. 😂😂😂😂
Very nice track guide! i like that you paused/slowed the footage to show braking and turn-in reference, very helpful. I love Bathurst but find myself not on that track as much as i want in ACC because it absolutely MURDERS my Safety rating...lol One slip up at the top of the mountain, and you're bouncing off the walls and into other cars. I picked up ACC for the console at launch, and we're several updates behind the PC version.... I wonder when they're gonna update it for us and reduce those grip levels like v.1.3.3 ? Love it, and can't wait for us to get the GT4 DLC in the fall!
Great lap! It's like I'm brickwalled behind 2:04-ish with every car. I understeer every single time I try to attack corners at the same speed as you. What's the trick to avoid understeering?
a lot comes with finding the grippy lines on track...also braking with steering wheel straight helps shortening braking distances. same as accelerating. basic rule is. when you are steering you need to be very subtile with pedals. when not steering you can go pedal to the metal. that helped me find a lot more grip on track. also check your aero balance. too much rear=understeer and vice versa, try to find the sweet spot, where you are most comfortable with.
@@unleasheddrivers1281 That would be amazing. I really like the way you take us through the track, what to watch out for, tricks in the corners and so forth. As someone who's done a few races there but not yet mastered the track it was really amazing to be able to analyse my lines against yours.

Definitely down through the esses after skyline. All about confidence and car control through there but plenty of time to be made. Also getting the chase done right is important
I dont plan on racing in circuits because im a Touge fanatic, but it is interesting on how different a GT car behaves. Seeing the difference between taking the corner in a heavily tuned car compared to how I think I would take the corner in a regular car is an eye opener.
Good guide bro very helpful specially with breaking points. Also gear selection would be really helpful specially with the steep up and down hill sections. Thanks👍
True. Especially the kerb on the fast left turn before downhill section seems to wipe out rear end everytime you touch it even so slightly. I've been lapping the bathurst special event a lot and it's hard to find somewhat safe settings with it.
I find the safe preset on Porsche easier to drive than a Ferrari 488 EVO on this track. The Porsche even on safe setup has a lot less understeer than the Ferrari with a setup.
Really nice guide. Could you please also share the weather, track conditions and time of day? I could do a 2:01.957 with your setup (really good one) with update 1.3.6 in hotlap mode at 2pm.

Didn't really hotlap this track yet tho, just had a few qualifying laps on this hitting about 2:04, but im gonna try to really get the most out of this asap. ;) I love this track tho.. Still very new to ACC, but the tight stuff on the top of the hill is just insane if you get it right
Interesting, I think this goes to show how the cars in ACC underperform. Considering that Chris Mies performed a 1:59.3, with traffic, and was pushing nowhere NEAR as hard is you had to in this game.
That 1:59.3 was performed with an unrestricted GT3 car so it didnt have its balance of performance and homologation restrictions applied. In real life, the true pace of the cars with restrictions are generally a little slower than what I've driven here
