  • Chelsea Chanslor has experienced at least 14 fentanyl overdoses, most revived with Naloxone. Chelsea and her mother share their experiences, struggles, and lessons learned in this educational documentary.
Naloxone, the active ingredient in 4mg Narcan and higher dose 8mg Kloxxado, along with many generic versions, can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available for free. Google it.

The way Chelsea describes “how getting to the top is a different perspective for everyone” and that touched me because what some people may look down on may be another person’s highest goal to bring their life to a point where they can make it and provide a lifestyle for themselves that doesn’t involve struggling to make it day by day. It’s very obvious that she has a purpose in this life after all the damage she’s been through physically and mentally. I hope she can comprehend that and the statistics she has miraculously overcome. This is your moment Chelsea… we see you and hear you and pray for all the people you are going to help save by sharing your story.

Just keep going honey, one minute, one hour or one day at a time. I’m 30 years sober and didn’t ever think I’d survive, but here I am still upright and still trekking. I went through the death of my mother, the suicide of 2 of my brothers and then 5 years ago the death of my husband of 39 years…. Man the pain has been so bad and at a lot of times I’ve wanted to just die, so I hear you lovely. To stay alive and clean you’ll need to revisit all the crap once and for all, not fun but necessary for life. I still even after all this time don’t do life easily, for me life is like an I’ll fitting coat that I’m not overly comfortable in, if you can understand that. But I’ll just do today and do the best I can. So precious don’t give up on yourself, you’ve got tonnes of amazing adventures ahead with your daughter, so don’t rob either of you of them. I believe your here to bless others. Love and blessings from Tasmania Australia 🥰

It's not been an easy road. Well I've felt horrible for few months!! I TRULY BELIEVE it's that shit that POISON!! I ended up with pneumonia in my left lung 🫁. The dr said I'm very lucky i had a nasty nasty pneumonia that infection went out into my blood system almost taking me out!! I never once shot it or anything ever said I never will and I stood by that! By snorting or just under my tongue 👅 that's how the shit got into my system 😡😡. I truly believe I'm here in the hospital now bcuz that crap!! Almost lost my life , I still have children. Not grown up yet. 😢😢I'm DONE dr needs to help me with better pain control. That's what's wrong with this country. Drs get u hooked on shit then drop u, why soo many turn to addiction 😢

Ray is right, children DO need a mother & a father. Yes addiction can hit anyone but the breakdown of the nuclear family is the cause of the bigger problems. As a society it greatly effects us all negatively. God meant for families to stay together & it is His institution: father, mother, children with God above all, which is the main problem-turning away from God/Jesus Christ and living in unrepentant sin. I’m speaking for myself here too.
Our country used to be Christian with prayer & acknowledged God/Jesus Christ as a whole but has turned its back on God. By removing prayer from schools, calling evil good and good evil, putting absolute filth in all media, removing accountability & giving validation to every whim of the imagination that is opposed to the truth, going against the way God created us all & letting chaos & darkness grow to the level is is today. Thankfully, however, this won’t continue for much longer & Jesus will return and set all things right. So i urge is all to please repent, let us ask Jesus for forgiveness for all of our sins & let us all call on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives today.

Suboxone makes you still look high. I did it for years and didn’t realize it. I got sick of that as well and realized just how strong suboxone was. I would rather every addict be on it rather than them be at risk. Then when they are ready to stop the suboxone they can get a shot of only the blocker part of suboxone without they opiate antagonist if they are worried about a possible relapse. I make 2 years in less than a month for the first time in my life I’m off any and all substances.

For some reason Stories like this make me feel bittersweet, especially for those that died without knowing they were taking fentanyl 😢 Here we have someone who OD’ed 15 times and is still here. Whereas on the other hand we have people like those 2 teen boys the mom mentioned, who smoked a joint not knowing fentanyl was in it and ended up gone forever. It’s sad that drugs cause us to take life for granted and literally try to OD only to be brought back. Rather than cherish our 2nd chance we continue trying & trying to overdose.
Hugs for everyone on this journey, it gets easier. 17 yrs clean July 2023.

My heart goes out to this family. It can happen to anyone. It really can. That mother truly made me heart for her because we can't just fix our babies and make it all better. We have to watch the turmoil and it is an unbearable pain. We don't give birth and assume one day our babies will be using drugs. Loved Chelsea speaking. She was honest. Baby you are doing so good. So damn good. You are going to prove to yourself and to others drugs can't have you. You are in control here.

Harrowing to see the effects shown of the drugs on Chelsea, and her accident. Hats off to you as you continue to recover and enjoy life with your child, family and friends. I hope you can get to the place where your past no longer dominates your thinking. It is said: there's no point living in the past. It doesn't exist. Some thoughts can rob us of peace and hope, and torment us if we dwell on them.
Long may you and your family continue to thrive.🎉

Congratulations it's not easy trying to be normal after being like that for so long and I know firsthand because I was and addict for about 7 and 1/2 years on heroin one day I decided that I can't do this any longer I straightened up I have a son now I have a fiance I'm working I'm providing for myself and my family them feelings of happiness I'm still struggling with after being sober since 2016 I still struggle with that every day the feelings of happiness and joy I very seldom ever have that I just keep pushing on keep pushing on that's all I can do I can't give up now I have a son that looks at me as a role model I remember what my grandmother told me on her deathbed she forgive me for everything I did because I'm trying to change my life and I live by that everyday. So congratulations and keep up the good little eventually come around and things will start coming to you I promise

I know so many people are against suboxone and methadone, however, this was me. I could never get my mental on track. I consciously decided to start medicated assisted recovery even though I was clean. I kept telling everyone I just never felt the same since being addicted to heroin. Since the medication my depression and my mental issues are about 85% better. So familiy and friends do NOT put your loved ones down for choosing this path. Its a disease. You wouldnt tell q type 1 diabetic not to take insulin, so dont tell an addict what they need to take or not take. Thats between them and their doctor.

You are so lucky to have that kind of support. I wish I did. The rehabs I've been to are state funded and don't really care or help. To them it's all about the money. These days I just sit in my room depressed and still doing the wrong thing. Idw this life, but I've tried and tried to get the help I need and can't seem to find it. I'm glad your sober. My sister was revived by paramedics after collapsing with my month old niece nearby. She was headed out to the car, beyond high, to take my niece to our sister’s house so she could continue partying. If she had made it into the car, my ending to this story would be completely different. Anyway…my other sibling got a phone call saying our sister was headed to the hospital from the overdose and she had 10 mins to get my niece or they would have to turn her over to social services. She ended up with custody of all 3 of her kids. My sister survived and, to my knowledge, has not taken any drugs since the event. The emotional turmoil this caused my family is inexplicable. The Most High God truly dispatched his Angels that day.

I also survived a Fentanyl overdose. What helped me is a medication for opioid abuse, it has a side effect, you can’t stomach the thought of alcohol. It feels so good to not to hustle to get high. I never thought I couldn’t live without opioids, now I don’t know how I survived. Some say suboxone is still using. I don’t get high off of it. I’m down to a small dosage. I have felt great and normal if that makes sense.

Thank you for sharing your survival journey ❤….The why we became an addict is the core principle to find sobriety forever. Our inner child as an adult is very important to heal. Trauma at any age is hard being a child and having trauma is life altering.

  • @xxlilith_

The part about waking up angry you woke up; and doing what you can to make sure you dont again- i felt that sooo hard. In the midst of my addiction, i remember so many times where i just did more and more, hoping the next hit would be enough to end my life. 5 months off fentanyl now, and working to do better. If anyone else here feels this way, please just know. You aren't going to feel this way forever. It will pass. Getting sober is extremely difficult. I'm not gonna lie. But it's better than overdosing and leaving your loved ones in the wake of the horror and tragedy your death caused. Live for them if you can't find it in you to live for yourself yet.

Dear Chelsea, I have gone to hell back and forward a thousand times. My story is very powerful to hear it. From Earthquake to civil war, to communistic dictatorship, to exile, to being kidnapped and rape, to getting married with a demon and a monstrous divorce, to have endured my first born suicide to my only son left with brain damage due to Fentanyl. I would love to speak with you. My greatest motivation is NO TO BE DEFEATED by EVIL or by horrific events like the ones I mentioned to you above. Nothing makes me more angry than to give power over my mind, heart and body to NASTY CIRCUMSTANCES and EVIL. But one thing I learned through the years, I cannot overcome or accomplished VICTORY without an INTIMATE relationship , profound relationship with Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. His Word is an anchor to my soul and a light unto my path. I also hate TAGS, if GOD’s calls me FREE I would not put a tag on myself for LIFE as an victim or as an emotional sick person bound to a nasty life that I do not deserve forever and ever…. Just this alone defeats me if I allow it. I Am who God says I am, and I have what GOD SAYS I HAVE … no what experiences or pains tell me who I am or will be. Pain is not my creator and maker, neither Satan who is the one who sent these horrific experiences to us, to DESTROY US. You need to get angry, but angry with those who think that you are a victim or to those circumstances that has determined who you are and your future. GOD and YOU DETERMINE who you are and your future no tragedies sent to you by hell. HELL HAS NO POWER OVER YOU CHELSEA. Show them WHO YOU ARE, no who they said you are. These addictions and painful memories MUST GO in Jesus Name!
    Love
    Jessica
