Great deal; I'd pony up the extra 2k for the 55hp, would always have power in reserve. Sure wish I didn't live 1,800 miles away!

Does higher hp on a hst tractor improve the tractors ability to climb hills in the mid or high range or are hst tractors regardless of hp struggle to climb steep hills in general in mid or high range?

Yes lambsweet. Many larger tractors offer a power shuttle which does not need to be clutched, or even stopped.
