Main chemicals = Silver Nitrate, Ammonia, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, Stannous Chloride ............. And LOADS of water! ;-) .. Ratios no good to anyone as different country's will offer different percentages of chemicals.
It is DI water .. I make it myself and the reading of the water is 0.001 ;-) ... The lighting is not very good in my garage .. This is a different lighting on a wheel I did - ruclips.net/video/rJ8W_gC3zwU/видео.html
The best explanation of the process I have seen. So bottle A for the duel head sprayer is a combination of Silver nitrate and sodium hydroxide + di water and B is Ammonia + Di water. I haven’t seen people rinse between silvering before either. Your wetting agent and silver sealer home made so what are they made from? I’m an artist in OZ giving this a go on my sculptures. Thanks for your videos Dave :)
Bottle A ... Is Silver Nitrate + Sodium Hydroxide (Or Potassium Hydroxide) + Ammonia + DI Water .... Bottle B is actually Sugar (Dextrose) + Ammonia + DI Water ... Wetting agent is a homemade formula that simply consists of a Surfactant with DI Water that is generally used on plants for gardening ... Hope this helps ;-)
You have to add some Voilet tint with the clear coat. If you have clear coated and it's looking yellow, don't panic, just give it a second coat with a voilet tint and it will turn shiney silver chrome.
Ratio's depend on the strength of the chemicals / acids you have ... So unless you have the same strength as mine that's the only way I could help you ;-)
Very cool
Hey Dave, very impressive. I'm hoping to try doing it here in Australia. Could you please give me a list of chemicals and ratios Thanks Ray

@@EssexSilvering You awesome with your DIY, what about the order of chemical administration?
@@EssexSilvering how about percentages in the U.K.??
@@kacafilmsemarang9124 Only order of chemical is the 2 combined that spray together - Silver Nitrate and Sodium Hydroxide + Ammonia.
@@rstezza All my chemicals are from the UK as I live here ;-)
Well never knew it was such a task for chrome. I thought we get to buy chrome color and paint it. No wonder its expensive! Great work mate
It's actually silvering (silver plating) just looks like chrome ;-)
Very interested in actual formula, I'll be doing my bike
Sir can you tell me the ingredients of the bottle S (Silver sealer, Anti_oxidant)
Can i know thr best chemical contents of hydrochrom formula to make it whitter cuz my formula makes it yellowish
the water you are using is not di water, check water ,you should be getting a better finish

@@EssexSilvering thanks Dave I appreciate your help.
Hello, what chemicals do you use for adhesion?
Adhesion is the activator, info is in my other video
Mate this is awsome. I have been looking to make the formula for this. Any chance of getting the mix ratios you used?
All info is in my other video ;-)
Pls share video link of ratio adding information.
Hi bro, what d name first chemical or aktivator before silvering chemical? Please for answer n tq
Activator is Stannous Chloride + Hydrochloric Acid + DI Water.
@@EssexSilvering after mixed must be waiting 24h ? Tq u so much for u sharing brother 👍
@@MuhammadRidwan-bv5ow No waiting time , ... You can use onced mixed, ... After mixing will last for about 2 weeks.
How much ratio between 2 chemical to mixing Di Water?
Sir, what is antioxidant. PLZ. Clarify. 🙏🙏🙏
It's a chemical that creates a water beeding so it's easy to dry and blow the water off.

Ok sir, please explain which ratio r u using? With this indication i will prepare ratio with trial and error
Is it expensive
Only expensive chemical is the silver nitrate crystals
@@EssexSilvering apc do for 25 I think on ebay
After finished do you protect the finish with clear coat
Yes, ... I use 2k clear coat with a voilet tint to protect the silver from the UV light (sun)
Has to be done on 2k clear surface correct?
No, ... Silver will have no adhesion on a clear 2K Lacquer, it has to be a 2K basecoat
