For some reason these companies are all overseas and there is no one in the US who will do this process for you. They are marketing a chroming system, not sell in stuff a the hobbyist. The cheapest price for activator and chrome liquid will be about $300.00. That is why they never state prices here and never provide a US address to make contact.

I am wanting to do this for my alloy rims on my car but with every video i have seen it looks like before all this takes place there is some sort of base coat on everything from a shiny black or gloss white color prior to this all being done.
This is not chrome, this is silvering. Chrome is durable and difficult to scratch. This looks OK for a little while, but is fragile and yellows once the polyurethane clear coat ages. This is similar to how mirrors are made. Using the term chrome is misleading.

If you can't suss out how to turn the volume off your computer or or what ever you are using to watch this, I doubt you'll be able to cope with using this stuff.
This is a great way of wasting your money. The activator can only be used once when it is mixed. It will last 24 hours at most. This is a complex process. Don't blow your money with Disco Frank who doesn't say a word.

it is just silver coating! the same process mirrors went throught. They use silver nitrate.
