  • Beach combing in Nassau? Really? Yes, and it's unbelievable!
This video is about take a closer look at all the shells from Nassau and how I displayed my shells and beach goodies. Frankly, I loved shelling in Nassau so much, I can't wait to go back! Not only because of these beautiful shells but it's close enough from where I live and often times it's affordable. And the water out there is gorgeous! This trip totally changed my opinions about going to Nassau in the future.
In my opinion, If you are interested in going to Nassau for shelling please consider a few things.
    1. When you are renting your stay, stay away from the east side of the island where most people go including paradise island. We stayed at SW side of the island and we traveled through south, west and north side of the island.
    2. If you can afford to rent a unit to be able to walk to the ocean in your back yard, it will be easier for shell hunting. We stayed a small unit/basement that wasn't fancy or anything but it had a nice beach. We only saw a few people the entire time, we had the beach to our selves most of the time.
    3. When you are at the beach, look around on the rocks, between the rocks and water pools on the shore on Low tide.
    4. The entire island is surrounded by the ocean, find a remote beach where not so many people go, there are plenty of beaches, south, west and north side of the island.
Never collect live shells or shells with someone else living there.(like hermit crabs:)
