One archaeologist to another, Mike’s incredible skill in identifying vessel form and function from such small glass fragments never ceases to amaze. Thanks Mike!
Thanks so much Chris!🌅 It’s such a pleasure to share these finds and the joy of artifact hunting with you.💯 These past few years when people came to show me rare finds at the sea glass festivals, I was kind of amazed at myself, on how much insight I was able to provide on such a vast spectrum of odd items.💫 The amount of joy I get in meeting people and helping out is second only to the joy my children give me. Thanks for your friendship kindness and support my friend! 🧡
You’re quite welcome Pati!☀️ I’m so glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your taking the time to let me know!💫 Hopefully more great finds and fun to come!🌊 Hugs, hugs! 🧡
So excited for your appearance on TV. Hope we get to see it in the US. Sorry your other show was canceled because of the change in leadership. Perhaps in time they will realize they need you to do it after all. Have a wonderful summer.
Thanks for sharing in the excitement with me!☀️ I’ll be sure to keep you posted and hopefully be able to share the episode online here!☀️ Thanks for your continued support and always coming along on the adventure with me. I’m so happy to be sharing and connecting with you again my friend!💯 Hugs, hugs!🧡
i recently got interested in river glass, and my first piece was the top of a cornflower blue bottle! about 2"×½" with some of the cap part intact edit for color correction!!
I’m so glad to hear you’ve discovered the joy of treasure hunting and tumbled glass!☀️ Sounds like you recovered a shard from an old “milk of magnesia” bottle!💯 Hopefully there’s more great finds in your future! 💫
Abrazos Florence!🧡 I agree, that amberina find was so great, although I regret not showing the “possible origins” in the video, might have to revisit it down the road!💯 Hugs my friend! ☀️
This has been such an exciting video Mike!!! Three beautiful beaches, several marbles, the glass fuse piece, pink, gorgeous unique denim blue,... I gasped out loud over the turquoise insulator chunk.. 😮😮😮. Then you pulled out those whale vertebrae pieces. I almost hyperventilated, lol. Sorry to hear your plans for a local sea glass festival had the rug pulled out from under it for 2024. Hopefully the change in plans allows you adventure to the International Sea Glass Festival in Mystic, CT. Happy beachcombing! 🙂
I am so excited for you that they invited you to be in a series of beachcombing! I know it will be great! I don't think I will be able to see Bell TV here in Ohio but maybe you will be able to post RUclips videos of it. That would be great. 🙂
That is so awesome you'll be on a TV show! I look forward to watching it (if I can find a place to watch it in the states). The mask toy helmet is a cool find, my dad collects those toys as they were also one of his favorite childhood toys. Wow, those blue pieces are really amazing. The aging on that first one is really outstanding. Thank you for sharing! My husband, baby, and I are going to stop by one of my favorite seaglass beaches tomorrow in Edmonds, Washington. I hope to find something good since we havent been in a long time.
I’m so glad you’re getting out to the beach Lexus!💫 It can be tough with a little one however those days are so fleeting, I’m certain you’re all making the most of them! 💯 I’m so excited for the TV show and promise to keep you posted, and provide a link if possible! Thanks for enjoying this video and sharing the “mask” toy connection. I truly loved them as a child as well so either your dad’s old like me, or I’m young like him? lol🤣 Hugs to your family! 🧡
@@SeaGlassArchaeology thankfully I’m in BC and it’ll be available to me but hopefully it’ll be online somewhere so everyone can watch it. And fingers crossed it’ll be good weather conditions whilst filming.
Great video, Mike! That whale bone fragment was wild! My favorite find from my beach vacation last year was a piece of fulgurite (what happens to sand when lightening strikes it). I wouldn’t have known what it was, except that I had seen some being sold in a store the day before.
That’s so awesome how you found that fulgurite Ryan!😯 Often I’m asked by tourists if that’s how sea glass is formed and then get to explain the difference between the two.💫 Yours is soo cool, I’ve never found any.🧡 When lightning strikes close to the shoreline, or shallow waters it’s something to experience, although by beaches aren’t sandy which is a key component, I guess, lol. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the adventure and that Whale bone!☀️ I love those bones, not everyone does! 💯
What an amazing amount of knowledge you have and your passion for sharing with the world what you have researched. Wishing you all the best on your upcoming endeavors in helping educate more people. Blessings!
Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement and taking the time to let me know how much you appreciate the knowledge shared on my finds! It just fills me with pride and joy knowing how much you enjoy my video adventures!🌅 I hope your Florida Beach Walks are just as pleasant as mine!☀️ Hugs, hugs! 🧡
Thanks Julie!☀️ I absolutely loved reading this!🧡 It’s all about due diligence, patience, persistence and picking on a culturally significant spot helps!💯 Can’t wait to see what’s next! 💫
Hi mike ... This was such a wonderful video with lots of finds and your usual insight/information on the pieces ... The conveyor belt left a beautiful crosshatched design ... Really like the large aqua perhaps could be made into a hanging ornament with clear fishing line netting? Thanks for taking the time to film /edit i know it takes alot to do ...
Awe!🧡 You’re quite welcome Nancy!💫 Thank you for such kind words, it made my evening reading your genuine appreciation for my efforts! ☀️ I’m so glad to be back in the habit of sharing adventures with you. Knowing how much you’re enjoying them motivates me to it up!💯 Hugs my friend m I truly appreciate this! 🧡
Is that shiny black piece above the green piece a rock or piece of glass at :30? Love the amber colored piece at 2:50. Could you turn that belt piece into a pendant? Just wondering. Love the dragon egg rock at 7:26. Another beautiful rock at 18:23 to go with the other 2 you found earlier.
Hey Tina!🌅 You get an A+ for attention to details, wish I could have you on the beach with me as a second set of eyes! 💫 I probably could turn that beautiful conveyor find into a wearable, thanks! I never even considered it! Believe it or not, I filmed even more beautiful rocks. However edited it out in fear it wouldn’t be appealing to everyone! (I Edit out a lot of talking and such for the same reasons!)💯 Anyhow, it’s great to be sharing with and hearing from you my friend, I hope you’ve been well!🧡🧡
How awesome to hear!💫 It’s such a beautiful, and time period colour!☀️ I’ve always wanted to beachcomb around Chicago, I’ve a few friends who do well out that way!💯 Happy hunting and hugs! 🧡
This was another good one Mike. Thank you for taking us along. Any way you could show us your projects made from beach glass? Is there a separate channel to view it? sorry your sea glass festival was cancelled on you.. There is always another year. :)
Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed coming along on the adventure with me Pam!☀️ I’m not worried about the festival, it’ll happen next year.💫 I’ve always aspired to share my projects, more so, the creative process but to this point have not.💯 When I do, I promise it’ll be something never-before seen and well worth the wait! Hugs my friend! 🧡
Mahalo Paula!☀️ Thanks so much for saying this!💫 It means a lot knowing you care and enjoy seeing what I’m up to!🧡 I always wish to post more videos, hopefully this is the year I do! Hugs my friend!
Hi I just came across your channel. You really make searching for sea glass so interesting. TSF 😁 I want to go to sea glass beach along the coast of CA. At first I was so excited to go there and beach comb for sea glass, however after reading some info about that beach online, it says you are welcome to take pictures and move the sea glass around, but you cannot take the sea glass home. What a bummer…
One archaeologist to another, Mike’s incredible skill in identifying vessel form and function from such small glass fragments never ceases to amaze. Thanks Mike!

Cool beans Mike!🌅
I’ll be so happy to see you! ☀️
Are you willing to share on a map of the island where the places are in this video? That would be nice!
What do you do with all of your finds?!? Are you making jewelry with it and where do you sell it if so?

Is all sea🎉glass man made?😊t
Hi Susie!☀️
As glass is made by humans but refined into sea glass by the sea the answer would be yes.
How can you tell glass from plastic?
I’d rather see more picking of the glass than see so much of you!!! TOO MUCH TALKING
