I’m 14 and just inherited my grandpa’s red 73 long bed. It still sounds good😂 runs great. I plan to drive the wheels off of it. I know he would have wanted it that way.
Nice old truck! Hope you continue to enjoy it and feed it some love! It will last for many more years. Thanks for showing it to others who love old Ford trucks
Very nice truck! Growing up, my dad had a ‘77 F250 4X4. I was about 8 years old when he taught me to drive it. We heated our house with wood, so when we’d go cut wood, he knew that if he got hurt with the chainsaw, I could drive him to the hospital. I have a special place in my heart for the dentside trucks.
I had a '73 about 20 years ago. Metal flake green. 360 motor with 4 on the floor. You could sit on the side of the fender with your feet in the engine compartment and work on it. So easy to work on compared to today's computerized stuff. That truck made me some decent money back in the day. And it was a tank! The hood weighed more than an entire 2018 Chevy Colorado. (Not really, but you know what I'm sayin'.) Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy her. They don't make 'em like that anymore.
I liked the video. Just bought my first older vehicle. 1974 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. 455 engine. Lots of power!! We will look you up when we get to Texas.
I'm 16 and want to buy one off my grandpa's friend it's a 78 short bed ranger with a 302 automatic with factory ac , I'm deeply in love with these trucks bc I grew up with em, I live In texas
I have the same truck changed straight 6 to the Roller cam 302 I broke the slip yoke on drive shaft. I ordered a new one from LMC hopefully the will come through for me I'm anxious to see her run .
My dad bought one used similar to yours in 1977. 1973 F-100 Custom, regular cab, long bed, P/S, P/B, automatic, AM radio, green with green interior & vinyl bench seat. Can you tell me what the paint code is on your truck?
the most important part of any vehicle is the chassis/body, you can throuw any engine it ll work, on the other hand if the chassis/body is rusted beyond repair,
I have a 73' standard bed with a 360 V8. Mine still has the original wedge shaped fan blower box on the passenger side engine compartment that makes getting at those rear spark plugs a hassle. I noticed that yours doesn't have that and am interested as to how your fan works. Thanks for the vid. Donald.
Might want to shorten that breather hose and take the kink out of it. I have a 76 F100 4x4 with a 390 in it. Lots of fun to wrench on, it was sitting in my neighbors yard for 10 years and it was running the same day I towed it home!!
It’s awesome seeing young guys working on and driving these old trucks! Truck looks great!
Absolutely love it! I was 8 years old when I learned to drive in my daddy’s ‘73 F-100. They sound badass!

I love it. First vehicle I owned was a 73 white f100 in 1993 16 years old. Three speed on the tree.

Still have the truck? Looks good. Nice seeing them stock. Engine swapping was popular on these trucks.

These old Ford's remind me of my dad. He was ford man. Loved f100 with 300 inline 6 or other V8 trucks as well. Old Ford's are built to last.
Sweet truck man! Do a cold start video on her
