- We had a few more dumps of snow in the last little while so I figured we would try and get out and see if we could get stuck lol, we came very close a couple times lol, We are sitting just under 2 feet right now, another few dumps and I am sure we can bury it lol, thanks for watching, huge thanks to RJWC Exhaust and The Bom Racing for the new slip on exhaust and the Super Mag cams, they really woke this bike up. ostacruiser hey, i dont know much about tracks. But I was looking to buy some , and people are saying they are good for snow ( I live in Canada) but they really reduce your speed. Whats your top speed? And to they wear out really fast if you use them on pavement or a hard surface?

My friend had a tracks on Suzuki King Quad 700 (2008) When his speedometer told 115 kph, that's the maximum speed on the King, my bike was running on about 72 kph. So the speed difference is allot. 43 kph. That's close to 27 mph reduced speed.
***** These are made for year round use, they will be rough in the summer but I don't see them wearing too fast, top speed is about 80km/h

i've always wanted a quad with tracks. The only put off for me is the large turning radius. 2 questions. Is the turning not as bad as it looks? Are there any options as far as parts (shorter or narrow front tracks) to have the turning get tighter?
+SweetMooch They aren't that bad at all...different track kits will handle differently for sure but they will all be very close in turning radius I would think

Was inspired by your track videos and went and tracked my XP1000! Install went fine, only issue I have at the moment is the steering is extremely, extremely twitchy (hard pack gravel at the moment). Do you (did you) have the same issue? I've not adjusted the steering as of yet, I'm 1" toe in. Hoping that's the issue... Did you adjust your alignment as part of the install? Also, do you need to remove (disconnect) the track DPS module to get back normal power steering? It's seems to stay in tack mode (was hoping to be able to cycle through)... Thanks!!!
definitely need to adjust toe in. Have them straight as you can as the extra length really makes steering twitchy. My track module lets me cycle through the defferent levels of power steering, not sure about other ones...Now we pray for snow!!! lol

Yes they will leave anyone behind in deep snow and would have done better in the mud if I had them super tight to keep them from ratcheting. But they are not ideal for mud and dry trail for sure

ostacruiser Thanks! We wound up getting 12" of powder here yesterday! It's the most snow we have seen at one time since the 70's! I got my gade out yesterday and played some, you should check it out, my channel is mshelton99. The quality is terrible as I didn't know the camera was set to the lowest quality.

Would bigger paddles on the track's make much difference in comparison to a mountain sled(snowmobile) in deep snow?
+Joe Shock it would make a bit of difference but you just don't get the track speed like you do with a sled. Steep slopes will always be a sleds territory imo

Hey Osta I have a Brute with TJD tracks on it, isnt it funny how the foot platforms get full of ice and snow after riding in the snow for a few days and makes it hard to put your feet down flat lol.
I`ve taken mine up over 20 foot plowed snowbanks. Nothing like tracks riding through the snow!

I have had great luck with my Ski doo Helium goggles, 509 and Klim make a great product as well
that is a really nice rig. only thing is it seems like a trail ride for a few hours would get really loud and old.

How many more years at those DB's you think before you start looking for new pipes? LOL. Myself and the rest of the riding group are done with loud pipes now looking for quieter setups on our Turbo sleds, quads and SxS's. It'll catch up to you in due time. Fortunately the aftermarket market is realizing this and expanding to meet this demand.
