@@Evilriku13 Yes. Thunder Force IV ends with the pilots being ejected and rescued from the damaged Rynex, which floated across space for a long time, until it reached *OUR* Solar System. Humans discovered the Rynex, nicknamed it "Vastian Steel", or "Vasteel" for short, and studied it on the lunar base, before creating a research lab on Earth known as Babel, along with an AI called "The Guardian" to study it. Eventually, humanity advanced all because they discovered Vasteel, a lot of their technology directly being the result of the Vasteel research. Then the Guardian went on a rampage and wiped out most of Earth since the Vasteel actually contained the data of Khaos (the final boss of Thunder Force 3), which uploaded itself into the ship moments before the destruction of its shuttle Faust (the final boss of Thunder Force 4) and hijacked the Guardian. This effectively gave Khaos control over the Guardian's power, the Judgment Sword Fleet (Thunder Force 5's fifth stage) and the original Vasteel itself. Little fun fact about Vasteel Original: You're fighting the Rynex, the protagonist ship of the previous game!
I did notice that, what is the lore reason for this?

I’m with both comments 👍🏼✨
PS1 has really vivid colors PS2 tends to have more "dirty" realistic graphics while the PS1 just has bright ass neon colors.
One of the game with the best OST in PS1 era.
Each stage and each boss has different theme, even mini title for this game is "the perfect system"
These boss designs kick A S S
It's funny how Technosoft has not used all the PS graphics effects here. They kept it almost intact from the Saturn version 🤣
It plays real smooth at the very least.
Good Ending - Destroy final boss
Bad Ending - Let final boss escape
I thought the game locked you out of the good ending by letting any boss scape.

i like how you didnt use aiming laser, or CRAWs so we actually see the bosses put up a fight

I really like the A3 theme.
Here's a badass fact about the fifth boss, Vasteel Original:
*You are fighting your own player ship from the previous game in a 1-V-1 showdown!*
Okay but why is it that way? Does the story explain that somewhere?
