I have searched all over for a video like this, and nothing has come close to yours. You did a better job than Ricoma! I was planning to take a trip to Florida, where their headquarters are, just to take lessons in person, but then I came across your video, and you saved the day! Thank you so very much for breaking it down for me so easily. I've had my Ricoma 1501 for 2 years now and was waiting to make the time to fly out to Florida for a few lessons. You are a lifesaver.
Thank you for the very clear explanation on applique and using the AM/AA keys. I couldn't understand what others were trying to say until I saw you actually post this video. It became crystal clear. Thank you again - I appreciate it.
Thank you soooooo much for this video! It really gave me the confidence and a lot of helpful information I needed to feel comfortable to press the start button on my new EM1010. LOL. I just got it 2 days ago and I’m feeling very overwhelmed with how complicated it is compared to my single needle Brother SE2000. I miss the simplicity already.
Hi Jessica. I learned the hard way. I moved my hoop all the way up using the mighty hoop. My machine went into a convulsion. Scary moment I thought it was going to explode. I had to power off. Since the mighty hoop is so strong, I did place it on the neck seam and it worked.
Mrs Lopez, as always you helped. Although I have a Brother 10 needle what you've shown is basically the same contempt. As they say you can teach an old dog new tricks.lol I like the idea of the spray will help in my hooping the shirts For me it has been a little difficult to hoop the stabilizer with the mighty hoops. Thank you.
Cassandra, I did that mistake twice of hitting the hoop button to slide out and it totally moved my design and I had no choice but to cancel it...TWICE!!! I meant to call Ricoma Support and find out why it does that? Great Video!
That’s really step by step ! I’m impressed ! But where do you get your design? Please ? It’s so hard to be new and start all this in your head to learn
Etsy, or google for example- mermaid appliqué design, and a bunch of embroidery designs will pop up ! You do need a software to edit and merge designs!
Casandra, that is a beautiful shirt that you made. I do have a couple of questions. First, is the Ricoma really that quiet? It really did not seem to be very loud unless you did that in the editing of your video. I was amazed. My other question - the left side of the dog partly overlaps the number 3. Where you do have the overlap, do you not remove the stitches on the #3 where I the dog overlaps, at least the satin stitches, so that you don’t have the stitches from the dog going over the stitching of the #3? I would have thought that it wouldn’t lay right because of the thickness of all of the stitches and the two layers of vinyl. I’m just getting started, so this is truly a question because I have absolutely no idea! I hope that I am clear with what I’m asking. With the number 7, is that swirling satin stitching within the number or was that the fabric itself that looked like that? It was really very cute! I totally agree with you on the placement of the design. When I see shirts that have the design lower down, especially if they’ve also made a tutu, so you know that the shirt is going to be tucked in, I can just visualize the name disappearing underneath the tutu.
Hi So the Ricoma is not so loud to me , it is my first multi needle so I don’t have another to compare it to lol I do remove part of the satin stitch of the 3 with sew what pro software And on the 7 , the white is a satin stitch
Great videos! I like the tip about hooping on the lower front collar to avoid the hoop magnets from passing under the bar. What size Mighty Hoop are you using in this video?
Thank you for sharing this video. It helped me a lot. I have a problem when I use an 8x9 mightyhoop. I use cutaway stabilizer and when I use it for the embroidery machine, the side with the stabilizer is being rubbed back and forth against the machine, which causes it to fray and almost rip. I don't have this problem when I use a 7 by 7 mightyhoop, though. Do you have any advice?
Very lovely. I have a question please. When using the HTV do you remove the plastic part before or after you embroider it down. I hope I’m making sense. Thank you
Cachi’s Customs any htv, Inhave regular htv !! so the sticky part on the shirt and once it is done, i heat press it! Interesting!! Going to the office and try this out.. dis you see my question about jerseys in the embroidery group? This might work!!
I have a Janome MB7 and have tons of issues with looping. Does the Ricoma have this issue also? I really want a Ricoma but not if there are looping issues. Thank you!
@@CachisCustoms No it's not my tension. They are just random loops that happen throughout the design. It's very annoying and seems to be a common problem with this machine. And since I'm needing a 2nd machine anyways I want to make sure I don't get one that has the same problem.
So the name is done separate from the design?...when you rehoop you just move it the hoop down and recenter for the name? Do I understand that correctly?
Did you use htv for the pink vinyl? Or embroidery vinyl? Did you heat pressed it still 12 seconds at 315 Temp? Sorry I have a lot of questions 😃 Thank you so much Cassandra

Amazing work! Thank you for sharing the process!!!!! Do you have a video on how you did the 7?

What size sheets are you using? I use 10x12
Very lovely. I have a question please. When using the HTV do you remove the plastic part before or after you embroider it down. I hope I’m making sense. Thank you
Yes you have to remove the carrier sheet !!
Omg!! Please explain again the use of the htv vinyl? So the same vinyl i use for my cameo for T-shirts, i can use on embroidery? Amiga explain!
Willy Pimentel yes
You can use htv for embroidery, remove the carrier sheet , and make sure to press it after all the embroidery is done
Cachi’s Customs any htv, Inhave regular htv !! so the sticky part on the shirt and once it is done, i heat press it!
Interesting!! Going to the office and try this out.. dis you see my question about jerseys in the embroidery group? This might work!!
Willy Pimentel I mainly use glitter htv
I just found your video Hopefully you will see this comment. My biggest issue is finding and keeping the middle on the shirt. Any helpful tips?
What software are you using on your computer?

Agreed with you about the design distance; otherwise the name will be to close to the waist.
Hi. I have a ricoma also. Is your mighty hoops the ricoma brand ones? I’m not sure which hoop to get. Thanks
Hi
Ricoma doesn’t have mighty hoops
I ordered straight from mightyhoop.com
You can use mighty hoops on the Ricoma , I got the 8x9
So the name is done separate from the design?...when you rehoop you just move it the hoop down and recenter for the name? Do I understand that correctly?
yes!! I don't need to do this most of the time but sometimes the fonts that i use make the Y's and G's not fit lol so I re hoop it
Do you use the embrilliance Embroidery software for your Ricoma?
I use sew what pro
How do you create the bold outline for the number 5? Just bought my machine 3 weeks ago
You purchase the numbers and combine designs on your embroidery software
@@CachisCustoms thank you!!
too too good. have to subscribed.
And do you cut away the back of the Stabilizer ? And add tender touch !?
Yes cut the stabilizer and add tender touch ! Then I’ll use my heat press to finish the shirt and so the htv can adhere to the shirt
Mine is em 1010 it has a grey hoops not the one u have , do u buy it separately?
Yes , link in the description
