Learning to DRIFT on a BUDGET

- After going the expensive way learning to drift in Japan, I wanted to find out if there was an equally effective but more affordable option. While browsing online, I discovered the Caterham Drift experience which is a one day drift school in one of their road-legal race cars. The car is much more similar to the formula cars I'm used to driving, which makes it quite a challenge to learn how to slide.
This video is not sponsored by Caterham, but if you want to check out this experience or some of the others they have on offer, check them out here:

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Cameron 🔛🔝
U just earned ur self a sub
Pin me as we'll
Lol
Genuine question, what’s with the subs at around 15:30 , do yall auto gen them?? Some of them don’t match up with what you are saying slightly and don’t make sense for the context, so I was just curious
I did this down brands hatch in a mx5, it definitely improved my car control
yo can you start sim drifting more in vids?
i really didnt expect the ending, thank you for this awesome 20 minutes Cameron
Warming up for Jappalachia, I see.
I absolutely love these drift videos thanks for more!
I would do horrible things to get my hands on a caterham.
Your videos are so good how do you don't have 1mililon subscribers
How to learn to drift for real:
> Get a sim wheel
> Buy Assetto corsa for $4
> Learn to drift in AC
> Become addicted to drifting
> Make money
> Buy an used 350z, e36, e46, 240sx, GT86 (miata is possible too) depending on the price (You dont wanna spend too much money here, You will eventually break something)
> Weld the diff
> Ideally wait for rain since its easier to learn this way or at least wet your tires with water
> Find a empty parking lot
> Drift to yours hearts content
> At this phase after spending enough time drifting irl you can begin to spend more money on your car so you buy coilovers, rollbar, better tires, angle kit, aligment ( Despite what social media tells you, quick release steering wheel and hydraulic ebrake are not required )
> You are now a solid drifter, you dont spinout frequently, you can hold drift safely
> The thing holding you now is power, so invest in a better engine, aim to around ~400 hp (dont forget upgrading cooling), this will be you enough power for all your drifting desires
> This is the top of your drifting journey, now you just hone your skills
> You happy :)
*key point: make money 😂😂
@@CameronDasRacing I mean yeah, but it isn't that's terrible, decent 350z will cost you around 8-10K, which itself is quite a lot but for a drift car you can use your whole carrer its almost nothing.
I sprained my wrist kadting yesterday😢 and jeez it hurt
Need angle kits on them caterhams
When will you play F1 again??
Which type of car is ?
Nice Video (i haven’t seen it but already know it’s good)
I love your content!❤ keep up the good work!❤❤
how can i get into a race team?
woho new vid🥳
What are the vehicles used for the drifts? And how do I buy one 😂? Btw what racing suit do you have? Sorry I'm new to racing and stuff
This is a Caterham 360s I believe. Wicked fun cars, and probably the most affordable street legal race car out there. Would recommend!
@@CameronDasRacingthank you so much
Theese caterham cars are great racing cars but they are far from ideal drift car, If you want to take drifting seriously, buy something better known for drifting with solid aftermarket support so you can upgrade it as you get better
I will recommend used 350z, its a solid drift car that even formula drift pros use and you can get it for super cheap ($8K - $10K), just weld the diff and youre good to go.
