- I never thought this would actually happen, but it did. I'm trying to replicate it for a video but I'm not having any luck so far.
If i can do it again, Gotenks SHOULD work too and all the other costumes/characters/forms we aren't able to use normally. (Super Vegeta, Blue Shirt Goku, etc, )

RIGHT! Like bruh we get him for about 1 minute and that's it! Vegito and Gotenks should have been endgame unlocks. They can even add a new How-To skill to Goku,Vegeta, Trunks and Goten that allows them to Fuse outside of battle and just give it a cool down time.

Edit: also never said it was a bad game I love this game I still play it but they should’ve made goten, trunks, goku vegeta able to use the fusion during free roam

I notice that Vegetto has unique dialogue that isn't in the Ultimate Boo fight, so maybe he'll be playable later somehow?
He can't drown and has no voices outside of battle. I think they intended for him to be battle only at the moment. His Skill Tree also freezes the game.
It's also a complete coincidence that both Gotenks and Vegito only come around the time where you wouldn't be able to do Chi-chi's cooking since she's dead.
Well Gotenks is just before but the way this seems to happen it'll be SS3.

Just got Gotenks though the method was different. Trying Super Vegeta. Then Vegito again. If they all work more than once i'll try and explain how it works.

Super Vegeta works 100%.
Gotenks is completely random by the looks of it.
Vegito isn't working at the moment.
I've had Goku after Kid Buu with Blue shirt. SS3 has no neck.
I've got SS1 Goku on namek but i'm trying Dying Namek shirtless Goku and it's doing what Vegito is so it's most likely possible. If I get him I'll get Vegito back.
He was clearly not meant to fish. I guess they combined Goku’s and Vegeta’s player models.
Hate to break it to you but thats exactly what vegito is
Or maybe the game couldn't figure out if the character uses a tale or a pole then again when you catch a fish vegeito does have goku and vegetas voice saying yeah at the same time

Also In dbm Chi Chi said Vegito was smaller than Goku physically.

It might be somewhere. If not it was possible by closing the game after it saves in one of the scenes after beating the last Kid Buu. I don't know if it saves anymore though.

I think without the random crashing and various (non-helpful) bugs it's lovely.

I've had quite a few.
I think it should have had a lot more. The side events are 95% trash. There's no reason we couldn't have movies between in intermission etc. Even if it takes longer to release.
The unique side events like vs Gotenks or the tournament should have been a standard not an exception. I'd rather to random things like that than "save this cook" or "find this thing and fight RR robot"
How does this become possible? Can this be done without altering the game? Is there any a way to undo this once it’s done?
As soon as you return Gizard Wasteland/Blake Bog the game continues on as normal.

I thought I had something just a moment ago but the save file just loads me right into a cutscene with Elder Kai and Kibitoshin.
So how do you do it?

You can't really in the middle of a scene, you can save before but it'll force any scene directly after it.
Too bad it was lucky if there was a way to do that with a 100% chance of happening it would be incredible

Gotenks is just random. It'll either let you open the map or not.
I think I know how Vegito works. If it does, it's extremely simple and i'm surprised it hasn't happened to anyone else.
