I think this was a really fun project and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something to do. I have a lot more projects coming up that include waterfalls, so if you like these type of projects then stay tuned! Anyway let me know what you though about this one and I'll see you all next week with the Gargoyle Gecko vivarium.

I will do this, but with bigger organizer. So I can put my local drainage fish in it. (We have certain type of fish living in some of the clean drainage, usually when it located near a swamp or natural river. It's like guppies, but grey and plain looking)

Hey Tanner! I was wondering what the maintenance is like. I would love to create this design, but I'm a complete beginner. Would this setup get dirty easily and be difficult to clean? I won't be putting in any fishes -- just basically doing 99% of what you have done. Thanks!

Cool build Tanner! How doesn't the manzanita wood mold though?

    • @SerpaDesign
      @SerpaDesign  5 лет назад +7

It will mold, but it goes away after a short period of time. Always does when submerged.

@@SerpaDesign hey, i a week ago i built my first paludarium. It is for vampire crabs i put a root for them to easier climb out of the water. But the wood molded and i had to remove it from the paludarium.
I made some changes so they will still be able to get out of the water.
How do i keep the root from molding when its not fully submerged?
      Big fan btw👍

@@edwin1712 It will mould, but give it a couple of days/weeks and it will soon go away. Many inverts do enjoy snacking on the mould/biofilm that it produces, so your vamps may enjoy it.

Have you had any issues with the super glue becoming brittle and pieces becoming dislodged? Any reason you chose super glue over silicone? Love the project, and your channel. It's an invaluable resource. Keep up the great work!

Love the content and the beautiful conclusions my friend however many of us would like to know what it looks like weeks later. It's a lot easier to build something and have it look great initially but building something and having it look just as good; if not better weeks/months later is the key. I know that you know this ;)

Thanks so much for this! Not only as another one of your beautiful and soothing scapes, but I've been pondering how best to do a waterfall for a particular themed tank I'm planning. I look forward to more ideas and inspiration, as my builds tend to develop over months not days ;)

Of course it is awesome. Personally for me the sand and slate do not match up. The colors are not right together nor would that combo be found in nature, unless there was more transition from one to the other. Does the container have to be that full of water or can it run just as well with less? And can you hear the water fall?

You should add some shrimp or maybe 3 minnows / tetras to it

Zack Payne Shrimp would jump from the tank in seconds. Not enough filtration to support fish either. It would look amazing with a couple fish though for sure

Turned out beautiful... I must say watching your videos few years back have brought out my creative side... having total 4 tanks. Family and i had to move in with the in-laws and had to give away do to no space for them. Broke my heart but we are currently bouncing back and on our way to a home. Once i do ill continue building one tank at a time. Much love from Santiago Family in Orlando Fl

A little over half filled would look best imo. Filling it up that high looses the cascading effect of the water. Looks good.

I love your display.💖 It's gorgeous. I would love to have one, it would be perfect with a couple of guppies, neon tetras or any real small freshwater fish n it. From the top view, It would be perfect for neon tetras in it.
I actually have 2 of those pumps I use 1 to drain my 55 gal tank, and one for my outdoor pond, they are very powerful. I really wish y'all would learn what Tupperware is. That is a cheap old $1. container probably bought at the Dollar Tree. You have to order Tupperware, which is lifetime guaranteed.
You know, you can add cleaned regular ground moss to your fountain, instead of buying those expensive ones? I use outside ground moss in my fish tanks. It produces lots of oxygen for the fish and it grows, and the fish nibble from it. Just don't use with goldfish, they will eat it all.
