I've been keto with 20/4 intermittent fasting or OMAD for two years.
I was 320 lbs, taking 7 medications and dying, today 190 lbs, don't take an aspirin, great metabolism never been healthier or happier.
I'm a 60 year old male who out works most 20 year olds.
Obesity is a hormone imbalance, mainly from insulin resistance.
Calories in, calories out is a false proverb, it's just not scientifically correct.
A low carbohydrate diet with a mixture of intermittent fasting with the odd extended fast is the only way to get your life back and keep the weight off.
Sugars especially fructose, simply rots your body out from the inside, ask any diabetic!
You have to remove the sugars to get your body to burn the fat into ketones while preserving muscle mass. (Protein is preserved while fasting as your human growth hormones go crazy increasing by 20 fold while fasting.)
When doing keto always eat a large variety of leafy greens and low glycemic vegetables every day.
Watch Dr. Fung, Dr. Berry, Dr. Berg and a few others on Utube but also read Dr. Fung's books especially The Obesity Code, it saved my life.
This woman is 100% honest, an inspiration to all and looks great.
Unfortunately while you're fasting and getting off your medications with a keto diet, the pharmaceutical, processed and fast food industries aren't very happy.
They fiance bogus reports, own the news industry with their advertising revenue powers and basically lie, lie, lie.
Sadly our government here in Canada and also in the United States don't seem to get it!
Sugars particularly processed sugars with dextrose from corn loaded with fructose are even in today's baby formulas, it's everywhere poisoning the next generation before we figure it out.
    It's shameful.
    Take care

      @@naomiwhittel And you also!
Can't wait for it to snow again so I can shovel out my driveway & all my younger neighbours, before they get out of bed.
We've possibly created a monster, but a good one!
The autophagy from fasting even removes scares and skin tags on the outside, imagine what it's doing on the inside.
My tailors are always happy to see me lately, they always drop what they're doing and treat me like royalty.
My once favourite restaurants and watering holes, not quite so much!🙄
      You just can't please everyone.
      Keep up the good work!!👍

Been doing Keto for about a year and dropped 70lbs and never felt better. When people say it’s not sustainable are full of it and I’m 58 and I love eating a healthy Keto! I know exactly what she is talking about. I never had this much strength when I was 20.

I am watching this fabulous video (I’ve watched so many of yours, Naomi) and I’m nodding and saying yes out loud, because what she is saying rings so true in me! I’m also 54, and although never an athlete. I started a keto lifestyle last August, and I can relate to how keto keeps me feeling good. I have new found energy, and when she said eating the bad things you’re not even aware how it affects you and you think that is just a part of the aging process. This is what I found out about foods affect on our life’s and bodies. Thank you for this important interview! It is what people really need to hear in my age bracket. ❤️ p.s. I’ve lost 55 lbs so far, my blood pressure is normal, I’m no longer anemic per my hematologist, and my dangerously fatty liver blood test numbers are all normal. My wonderful doctors told me to keep doing what I’m doing. Your videos are a part of my success story. Thank you for all your hard work and the quality you provide.

Very inspiring and motivating video. I've been doing low carb since 2000 and people always cringed at me even family members that are in the medical field were quite critical of me and the information I was trying to share. But at the end of the day my body was my best thermostat on how I felt, and there was no denying I was on the right track. I always found it easy to understand why it worked but for some reason other people just didn't get it. Maybe it was hard competing with the media and medical establishment at the time. I mean this is how we ate for thousands of years. (Feast and famine)

Thanks for your comment and sharing this. Good for you for sticking to your guns. You're absolutely right on all counts; it really is how our ancestors ate and the science and research totally backs it up. Above all, as you said, how you feel is always going to be the best indicator of whether it works or not. 😊

I wish to add one more thing after adding intermittent fasting to the low carb/keto diet, I felt that was the missing link thing that completed it all. I agree with her in regards to missing this man made foods or altered foods when I go back to them issues reappear. I'm not a snorer but if I have ice cream for dessert that night I will definitely snore. I like how Diana Schwarzbien put it in her book The Schwarzbien Principle if you can't hunt it, fish it, milk it, or pick it don't eat it. Can't put it any simpler than that.
