In this video, we’re going to talk about how to look 10 years younger. Our skin is made out of saturated fats, and in order to achieve youthful and younger-looking skin, you need to consume more saturated fats and cholesterol.
Purpose of Saturated Fats and Cholesterol
• 50% of cell membranes are made of cholesterol.
• It helps to produce more bile to help digest the fats you consume and extract fat-soluble vitamins out of that fat.
• The cholesterol is needed to make hormones.
Vitamin A is the most important anti-aging fat-soluble vitamin for the skin, and it also triggers the production of collagen. The different layers of the skin (epidermis and dermis) are controlled by vitamin A.

For MOST people, yes. I've had chronic insomnia and the stress that comes along with it, my entire life and I am 67. People consistently think i am 20 years younger and I wear no makeup, have natural color hair. I attribute it to Gene's, yes, but my younger relatives all look older than me. I have oily skin but have always used a good moisturizer, Vit E or something equivilent, nothing expensive. Even in the 70s when eggs got a bad rap , I ate 2 each morning. But I ate terribly as a child and have had periods of terrible eating as an adult. I attribute my youthful looks to not having had children. At my 20th class reunion, one of my classmates thought I was one of the kids....🤫

So true! For one year I have been taking avocadooil, virgin cold pressed cod liver oil, Liquid B-complex and eating alot of red bellpeppers and carrots. Reverced pcos, became pregnant naturally and now have a 2 month old boy. Also absolutly no acne, thick hair and nails!! 😁

Day 1 without sugar! I fasted 20 hours and had a salmon salad and lemon water.

Stopped dairy, sugars, and now 😫low carb. Will step up the cod liver, vit A and leafy greens. Already lift weights, do cardio, sleep well, reduced stress, etc. going to start intermittent fasting. Thank you!

Yes! What you eat and what you don't eat plays a huge part in how you look. My food intake is 75% vegetables. And yes many veggies contain protein. I consume lots of fish too. I do eat a least one egg a day with the yolk. And lots of water. Little or no alcohol. And no white sugar. Strength training actually help too! Smoking, all forms including weed ages you. No sun. Those are my tips. A woman of almost 70 who looks 50.

All good except do NOT avoid the sun. It is a myth that the sun is bad for you. Get out there for 20 minutes a day and absorb that vitamin D when possible. Avoid toxic sunscreens too!
I have been following Dr bergs advice. Just the other week I had two friends tell me I am looking really good. Each comment was in a separate instance just days apart. I'm 43 and feeling almost as energetic as I did in my late twenties.
Start disconnecting from the narcisst in your life and then get enough sleep, watch comedy, be in love with life again and then of course avoid regular sugar and drink lots of water with your vitamins especially collagen supplement! 😊

The body cannot absorb collagen. Its has to make collagen itself from vitamins.
@@xdaydreamerx hydrolyzed collagen can be broken by digestive process and then absorbed. It's those products that's unable to get absorbed in the skin because the molecules are too large.

I'm so glad I found Dr Berg at 22. My mom aged very very poorly but she ate an ultra-processed standard american diet all her life and was always a very stressed person. So I'm hoping that if I can start using this information now then hopefully I can age a lot better.

I have always been told I look at least 20 years younger to the point people don’t even believe my real age. My doctor always tells me I have the most beautiful skin she has ever seen! It just so happens that my fave foods are those.

@@wellwisher8195 I first have to admit I think it’s partly genetic as both my parents look way younger than they are. My mom is from Korean where they really take care of their skin, so I grew up watching my mom take care of her face. I drink lots of water, baby my skin (I have sensitive skin, so the gentler the better), don’t smoke, avoid excessive sugar, wear sunscreen. I love using face sheet masks at night, really helps hydrate the skin and it looks glossier the next day. I do like to drink a whole lemon blended in water every morning, I think it really helps my skin look so much smoother (I can tell the difference when I skip a day). I can’t tell if being banned from wearing make up growing up helped or not, I don’t like to wear lots of it cause it makes my skin feel clogged up.

Breast feed both my kids!!! They are so healthy!! My.son 10 my daughter 3!! I cant believe doctors recommend formula?! I would go as far as getting milk from another mother if I wasnt able too, I didnt want thier mouth and weight to get out of control before 1 year old!!! Also, all 3 of my step kids were formula fed, all huge babies, rotten teeth 😤 and addicted to carbs to this day!!!

Honestly I was thinking I would have a heart attack by 25. My blood pressure was always severely elevated, 145/100. Of course I thought it was all genetic, that it was all out of my control 🥺 but very quickly after cutting out sugar, refined carbs, and vegetable oils (and eating lots of SATURATED fats and vegetables) my heart has healed and I no longer live in fear.

Couldn't agree more, Dr. Berg! I've been on keto for the last 6 months and when I look at my before and after pictures, I find that I look 10 years younger. I've been looking 10 to 15 years younger all along my life, people keep asking me what's my secret. I think it's mostly genetic luck (my sister has that same luck) but I think I've helped a little by moisturizing my face every morning since I'm 18, avoiding stress amap, eating mediterranean food (I live in Nîmes), exercising, not smoking, little drinking (red wine mostly), avoiding sun, taking care of my hair ...and of course keep young in my head.
That was me to until my 60's but wham it changed radically quickly

All depends on what you go through in life! I looked young until i lost my daughter n got unwell with insomnia anxiety feeling depressed etc i no longer drink eat a very clean diet but nothing as helped slow the ageing.trauma stress lack of sleep are all the major factors.i dont judge anyone of how old they look you dont know what they go through ive black eyes and no idea how to improve them naturally i get comments alot n its awful it really gets u down n makes u lose confidence

I have been eating lots of avocados in my salad with lots of olive oil dressing all the time and I noticed the difference.
5 days workout/ yoga + organic food+ early dinner( b4 8 pm)+post dinner walk( atleast 15 min) is the key to look atleast 10 yrs younger than your age.....
I am Vegan and but not on a low fat diet and I get complimented a lot for how young my face and skin looks despite being in my late 40s. I also lift weights eat nuts/seeds and Omega 3 DHA Algae oil capsules twice a week. Also there is definitely something about eating Tofu that is helping my skin look so young.
In a generation that is mostly about pushing being vegan I found this refreshing. I’ve tried to go vegan but my body personally can’t handle it and shuts down. Not everyone’s body is built the same so not everyones body can tolerate no meat! Make your own choices in life and what best suits your body!
true, as an asian i grew eating rice so even trying keto is really hard altho as a muslim, intermittent fasting is no big deal but if i don't eat rice i kept thinking about snacking and feeling hungry all the time.. i can fast the whole day as long as i have rice once a day 😔

I see you practice what you preach, you look young
At age 19 I cut out all fats one summer because teen-magazines all recommended. I ate peanut butter every day until then; cut out butter, eggs, anything with fat. I was on swim team & tried training for a mini-tri. After 3 months my face was literally gray, I was tired all the time, I could not finish any workout & I started being depressed. I learned that 30 years ago not to trust magazines for health advice!! Still learning from Dr Berg!! Thank you so much.

He is not a MD = medical doctor. He is still a doctor in chiropractice. You can be a Dr. in Radiology, too, or Math or Physics or Pharmacists. Chiropractors know more about the human body than any MD would ever learn in med school, because all the MD schools cover is how to match which pill to which complaint.

Also, stay out of the sun! I'm 29 and I look like I'm in my early 20's. I have no wrinkles around my eyes and forehead. If the damage is already done, I suggest you check out Ordinary's skincare product. Try retinol and alpha artbutin serum they have under 10 bucks! I have acne scars, and it lightened my scars so much they less noticeable.
I've tried their under eye (ceffine) and hydration serum it hasn't worked much yet. I might have to use it more often. It's from Priceline Aus. Can you use retinal and artutin if you go out in the sun and use a sunscreen foundation?

Healthy love life is the medicine for heart, brain and skin of course (besides healthy nutrition , excercise and good sleep).
I'm 51 and easily pass for late 30's. How do I do it? Stay hydrated. Enjoy everything in moderation. Move your body. Go outside for an hour a day if possible. Try to find the humor in everything you can; think of trying times as valuable life lessons & experience. WEAR SUNSCREEN: Broad spectrum, even if you'll be indoors. Practice good sleep hygiene. Be social with other people. Volunteer or do for others somehow.

Robin Melendez sunscreen only blocks vitamin D from the sun. Ppl who don’t eat enough fat the sun will age them. Those who eat high quality and high amounts of fat will be fine as their skin is thicker and hydrated to the maximum. You NEED sun for optimal nutrition and life in general.

Good advice, except for the sunscreen. Sunscreen is toxic like many other products on the market. Look up 'xenoestrogens.' It will change your world.

I'm 50yrs old and I look 35yrs old according to some people. I did alot of fasting, exercising and eating mostly healthy foods over the years But, for about 3yrs I fell off the wagon and I could see the change in my skin. Well, thanks to you I'm back on track with my health. I have more energy and I feel much better.

No intermittent fasting doesn't make you look younger..In fact it will make your face look older because when you lose a lot of fat,it also comes off your face and your skin isn't stretched out like before,so the rinckles start showing..However IF does make you feel much younger.

I can agree no more on this. I lived in an area before where two communities highly consumed milk, curd, butter and cultured ghee. Their skin more glow. Grass fed milk items though as they all have their own cows and graze them. I always wondered about their skin. Got the answer now. Thx doc Berg.
That’s very interesting, my grandmother died at 97, had no illness or health problems, lived on a diet of meat and veg, but she had gold top milk delivered fresh each day from the milkman in glass bottles, it was from jersey and guernsey cows- which were grass fed. She had luminous skin, no wrinkles and you had to get up close to see the faint lines around the eyes if any at all, her secret was the gold top milk which was consumed at breakfast each day, she didn5 smoke or drink, would be outside and didn’t apply anything to her skin. The only thing is, the Dr neglected to mention a source of retinol (active vitamin A) that makes egg yokes virtually insignificant. A single ounce of grass-fed beef liver has 5000 iu (100% RDA) of retinol.

Since I was young I always did intermediate fasting, until I got pregnant with my daughter 24 years ago. I had to work very hard to gain weight. 8-9 meals a day. A few years back I started intermediate fasting again, because I remembered that it controlled my weight when I was young. It was sometime later I first heard anyone else talk about it. I eat once a day.
Genes also play a huge role in how we age. Both sides of our family age very fast and its taking me all the knowledge I have to try and stay youthful longer. I've also found that drinking ages us fast. During the lockdown I was stressed and started drinking. I'm slowly trying to kick the habit
as a heavy once-a-week drinker since >20 years (now 43 yo), I can say that 1) constant drinking of moderate amounts is probably much worse for the body than occasional binge drinking, 2) If you drink, remember that it's is MUCH better to drink and to exercise (I'm not talking about working out while after alcohol, obviously) than to drink and to skip exercise.

I am a Greek national. In Greece we have access to many different varieties of milk. Camel milk, donkey milk, sheep milk, goat milk, cow milk. It would be great to see an episode discussing most choices of milk and whether it is healthy to consume certain varieties on a daily basis. Further on what happens to these milks if you add them to our beverages.

I honestly don't look my age, I was raised from food out of my backyard. We ate eggs everyday with butter. My Mom has always told me that the egg is the perfect food... I'm proud that I look at least 10 years younger. So much foolishness going around about what really good for us and the die hard people who don't believe a word you say. "Then don't ask me how old I am"! If you want to look good, follow the good Drs. advice!

Oral retinoids for acne or anti-aging purpose can cause depression, mood swings and anxiety. They are ok as topical cream/lotion, etc.

@@DGP888, no, I meant the medication for acne. You still need to be careful with taking vitamin A, especially in pregnancy!

Yes, I eat eggs in the morning, I have hens that give me fresh eggs daily. Also I take 100% organic olive oil before going to sleep and my wife too. I take medicinal mushroom powders, and Chlorella, and Spirulina powder in my cup of warm distilled water for breakfast.
I love how I get to unlearn everything I was taught. Thankfully your knowledge is being passed down to my children as well so my grandchildren will be super humans compared to the rest of the world!! Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge!!! Blessings!!
