A talented left-footed attacking midfielder, Hagi's playing style was frequently compared with Diego Maradona's throughout his career, due to his technical ability as well as his temperamental character and leadership. I don't think that Gheorghe Hagi needs to be compared with Maradona, he is a great football player in his own right. I will say more. Yes, his achievements in football are not comparable to those of Messi, but Hagi game is now more enjoyable for me to watch than Messi's. I will always remember his goal for Colombia at the 1994 World Cup.
