Perfect ideas! I have a 11 lb chihuahua who thinks my fuzzy black robe belongs to her. lol.. a puppy bed with her favorite robe is going to be fun ❤😊
Oh my goodness - these are so pretty and you make it look really easy! I've been sewing since I was 12 and retired 3 wks ago after 52 yrs of customer service jobs. While I worked full time, I didn't have time to do much in my sewing room, but tried to keep it straightened and organized. Now that I'm retired, I've lost my sewjo and most times, I just pass through to the laundry room. My DH is very supportive and he retired 1 yr ago after 54 yrs. I really want to sew and I have everything I could ever want or need to do that; then today I found you. I believe your quick projects will help me get out of this state of mind that I'm in and will be trying quite a few of them. I've been watching all your videos and truly love them, but the ones that spoke to me today are the quick and easy projects. I especially love the heart pillow cover since my sewing room is done in hearts and I need an apron like the one you made. So, tomorrow, I'll be in my sewing room, thanks to you. I'm excited to get started (again), but will keep watching your videos. Again, thank you sew much for these! 💗
When I retired I couldn’t find the motivation to return to my sewing even though I love sewing. After some time I realised it was retirement itself that was stopping me, I just couldn’t settle to anything without the routine of a busy job. Finding inspiration in Alisa’s videos was also a kick start for me and gradually I’ve come to enjoy the retirement I had so looked forward to while making beautiful things and as everyone says, there just aren’t enough hours in the day now! Enjoy your retirement and all the wonderful projects ahead!
@@magscouk Thank you very much for letting me realize that I'm not losing my mind. I believe you are exactly right because I find myself just looking for things to do with my time. I usually end up doing laundry or cleaning because it's necessary. I was raised as the oldest of 7 country kids and Mom always had the same chores to do, every single day. She felt like she'd never get caught up and said: "there's never enough hours in the day to get it all done." She planned to do what she loved, someday, if she ever got the time. But, as we got older and had homes of our own, we realized that all those chores will still be there tomorrow and one day, those kids will not be. The same holds true for taking time to do what you love. Mom passed away before she got her chance, but I don't want to do that. I am 69 years old and the pic in my profile was only taken a few months ago (good genes). I don't feel old and don't want my retirement to change that. I am happy and still healthy enough to enjoy life and I truly want one part of that to be sewing. It's what I love! 💕I hope you enjoy your retirement too!!
@@brendak5486 Thank you both for these comments! 6th of seven kids raised on a farm here. I too will be retiring soon and figured I would get my sewing/craft room more organized. I just have too much stuff, lol, even though it is pretty organized. I don't get to sew as much as I'd like right now, while working full time, watching 5 grandkids sometimes, visiting, craft shows, and every day life.
I'm sure I won't dive right in there and do it either.
53:01 I like well worn t-shirt fabric for my flowers ❤ they curl a bit. Worth making! ❤
What a great series of projects! I have some thick 3" foam arriving today for a kind of bench (actually shelf) cover for my 2 kitties for the front window. Mama Pajama, in particular, is feeling her senior years, and so I'd love to make beds for her and her son, Gracie-George (named for Gracie and George Burns, who were a wife and husband comedian duo who my father really liked). I really appreciate that you have suggested dimensions! I have a pillow that I was going to discard, but I'm going to re-use the filling for kitty beds instead. Thank you, Alisa!
You have shared so many great ideas in this video. Thank you so much. You are a natural teacher. I am intrigued by how you make the loop/bow combination for the ornaments. Would you please ido a short lesson on how they are tied? I have watched the tape many times, and your hands just move too fast for these old eyes to figure it out. Thanks again and Happy New Year.
You couldn't have had more perfect instructions! Thank you for posting. ❤ I would love to see what you can do for lamp shades. I'm actually pretty creative, but would enjoy see what you can do...😊
I made the drawstring pouches for my grand kids for Christmas this year. I also made the pencil pouch and included it. Your directions were so clear and I had so much fun making them. Thank you.
I love the wagging cat tail in the very beginning!
Right? :) it is like she (Eva, the cat) knew that I was making something for her :)
If I had had known that making a pet bed was that easy, I would have done that a long time ago! I am going to make one for my cat and my dog; thank you!
You're such a great teacher! I really enjoy and look forward to your videos! Thanks for putting out great content!
Great video and projects❤
Lots of pretty and useful projects . Thank you 🎉
Wow, there are excellent projects! Thank you so much Alisa for the video and clear instructions. ❤
Wow everything sooooo cute and useful 👍❄
I LOVE those hanging ornaments
Hello, these are amazing instructions. Thank you. Have a lovely day 💞💞💞
Great video, thank you for showing us. You make it look so easy!
Muchas gracias por compartir los proyectos!!! Son de mucha utilidad 👍👏
Y lo que más me encanta es que están traducidos al español 👏👏👏👏🤗
Saludos y bendiciones desde México ❤️
Great ideas! Thank you for sharing. I’ve been sewing all of my life and I always learn something from you.
I made the apron and just love it. I'm going to make a 2nd one since I use it all of the time. I made mine out of linen.
Thank you. All the projects are great. My favorite is the slim zipper bag.
Belated best wishes for a happy Christmas. Happy New Year 😎
Great one😅❤ thanks.
Wonderful projects - thank you so much. I really love your channel. It’s been so helpful and I feel like I have a friend alongside me, guiding me in my sewing journey. 💗
Your little fuzzy one is adorable. Just what this part of the video needed!
Cat tail made me giggle 😂😂😂❤
Thank you! So glad you're feeling better!
Delightful and easy, every one. Thank you.
All great ideas. Thanks ❤❤❤
I made the drawstring bags from a prior video you posted for Christmas gifts this year. I made four of them as a beginner and they came out super cute! Thank you for sharing!
Great projects! Thankyou Alisa
Miss. Ewa ensured to be around you while you sew her bed!! I must say she is really an strict sewing inspector 👏😍
Wouldn't it be good if you lined the base of the cat bed with batting or something else.... I would loved an soft cozy bed base 😊
Thanks for sharing so many things in this video. Happy new year!
Hi Alisa! 👋🏼 These were great projects. I plan on making an apron next year (2025)!
Great projects. Thank you ❤
Great projects Alyssa.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful projects. As a matter of fact, I am in the process of adopting a rescue kitty so the cat bed project is purrfect for me to start with. I had to say goodbye 😥to my sweet boy of 16 years old in February.
I love all the projects you share.
May the many memories of love outweigh the grief of loss and may your new companion share many years of happiness with you.
@@katwitanruna Thank you. 🤗
ngā mihi o te tau hou - happy new year, greetings for the new year. 🎉🎊
I like the pillow but wouldn’t it have been just as easy to do the envelope method. That way you don’t have to worry about the gapping. Thank you for the video and your time! I love the projects.
Yes, absolutely, but in my case I like to do it this way so it does not break up the pattern of the fabric on the back. The gaping does not bother me as you can't see it when the pillow is on the sofa :)
The bag is adorable! I would’ve liked to see the raw edges finished with the sewing machine.
Hooray, an hour of Alisa's projects! ❤🎉
I'm definitely going to make an apron for myself, the bag and i absolutely love the last project, the fabric flowers. I think they would look beautiful on a little girls tee or dress. Thank you so much for this and Happy New Year.
Those ornaments would make a lovely advent calendar where you take off one a day and put it in the tree.
What a wonderful suggestion!!! I hope that I remember it to use next year. Thank you for taking a great project one step farther.
Such beautiful ideas, thank you so much. I love the gray and pink fabric for the hearts and the drawstring bag, do you remember where you got it, or who makes it? Love your kitty too ❤️
Shoelaces are useful as ties for a draw string bag.
I really like those aprons. Do you know if the same method could be used to make an apron dress that is closed in back? That way you will be protected all the way around (and what you are wearing on the bottom half will not be seen).
Have you ever made a hanger safe?
❤❤❤🎉
Hi! I really love your sweater! Did you sew it.
Hello there :) 99% of what I wear is handmade and most of it is in a video form on RUclips, if something got your eye and you would like to see more - you can find it on my channel by going through my videos :)
I like your top. Pattern available?
Hello there, Judith. I am not sure which particular top you are talking about (I am wearing multiple in this video) but all clothes are made from the videos on my channel - just click on my channel name and browse through the videos :)
I’ve been wanting to make this apron for years but I’m on the bigger side and I don’t understand how to make the apron larger. Could you show me on the video how and not just explain how please 🙏🏻
I always sew the opening in the middle of the back - it won't flip open then, because it's at the biggest part of the pillow.
I personally don't like doing this way because it breaks up the pattern on the fabric, or in this case the pattern that I have created :)
Yes, with your design thats right 👍🏼
I often use the back seam as a design element with embroidery, lace, the original hem of a pullover, that turned into a pillow etc.
It's always good to have different input. I've never done something like you did, but transfered a lot of ideas into my designs.
Thank you for your videos!
Do you have a pattern for a phone holder that you can attach to a lanyard. I’m sure I saw it on your channel. But now I can’t find it 28:01
