I still maintain that the most badass scene isn't from Captain America lifting the hammer, or Tony Stark saying that he can fly, it's just this scene of Black Panther walking into a nightclub. His arms are behind his back, he's flanked by two gorgeous, powerful women, while the Weeknd is playing bass boosted in the background. Chadwick Boseman carried himself like a true king in this movie, he'll be missed.
I just can't believe he is gone. I typically don't care when a celebrity passes, but this hurts so bad and it was especially hard when they did a tribute to him.
Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman. The presence you have on screen in scenes like this one are top notch, priceless moments that us marvel fans will cherish forever. You will be so greatly missed. Rest in power.
The Warrior Prince entering a den of villainy with his Warrior Princess and his General by his side. Iconic. (he was technically King at this point but I don't consider him truly King until he confronts and takes responsibility for the actions of his forefathers, and I think Chadwick played him that way.) This scene is so badass.
To be honest I didn't like the movie or the song and didn't know the song was in the movie but after I watched the movie and listened to the song they became my favorite
I'm a little disappointed in the way this song was used in the movie ngl. Yeah the boost was nice but it's such a timid scene for a badass song and you could barely tell when the chorus came on. It may have been better to start the song earlier and have the boost happen when the song reaches the chorus.
Movies do that all the time to try to insert a soundtrack song in the movie. I didn't fall for the hype of this movie like other blacks did since I was already a Marvel fan. But hearing this cool song in that scene and the end credit song made me want to find out what those songs were. The scene was perfect from the set design, costumes, camera angles, the way he holds his hand out and Lupita automatically accepted it and their cheeky comments to each other down the stairs made me love the scene. However, when he lets Klaus live and his women shamed him, I realized that this wasn't a real Black Panther movie and more liberal propaganda of the Black matriarchy undermining the black patriarchy and Killmonger was more Black Panther than Black Panther and made out to be the villian in this movie. This movie was well done with a cool look, good scenes sprinkled throughout and a great soundtrack but it was a black anti-patriarchy liberal propaganda movie which stopped me completely loving the ovie seeing the agenda through the glamor.
