I have tried them for 2 months true to size then for another month going a half size up, and they never broke in or got any more comfortable when playing daily or at least 4 times a week. I’m not sure if I’m the only one or what. Phantom gx are just far more comfortable.
I could see a lot of people not liking them if you’ve gotten used to some of the knitted/textile based boots that we’ve been getting for quite a while now. Personal preference is so big when it comes to picking the best boots for you. It’s great to try something different, but sometimes you just like what you like. I appreciate the honesty 👍
I actually have always been a mercurial wearer true to size since the vapor 12s came out (minus wearing the puma future 1.4 which I loved just the sole plate came off too easy), but when these came out a bit ago decided to try them and didn’t like them, and have since switched to the GX 2s and have loved them. Been wearing them for the past month and they are quite comfortable and have a great feel for the ball!
I wish the accent color on this Predator colorway was actual red, and not the orangey hue they went with. I finally got a pair and I’m not going to keep them.
i feel like the predator 24s are such a step up from last years, even on the takedown models the quality increased significantly, i hope its the same for the f50s compared to the crazyfast
I wonder why they discontinued the accuracy.1 (or replaced it with the 24)? I absolutely love my accuracy.1 and I think it’s the best soccer boot ever. I hope they bring it back so I can get another accuracy.1 when it wears out.
I ordered the F50s and could not believe how plasticky and cheap they felt. Am I missing something with these recent speedboots? High prices for plastic when you can get lovely, comfy K-leather boots for less money???
It just depends on what you like. Speedboots might feel cheap, but they are a lot lighter than leather and give a more barefoot feel. Leather is heavier and thicker, but it is more comfortable
@@samcascam2058 You know more than anything, it was the area around the ankle. I bought the elite pair and it felt like the ankle had been cut with a pair of scissors and not finished. Really rough against the ankle?
What a coincidence, i legit just tried both of these exact boots in the same colorways today, but i genuinely was underwhelmed with both. The f50 upper is suprisingly stiff, the toe box is too low for me personally, and it still has that werid gap near the ankle. The preds were way better in terms of fit, but flr some reasome also have a very low pointy toe box, but the heel was better than the f50. I own a large collection, and genuinley i would aay the crazyfast plus are way more high tech and better feeling that this new f50. But im reallh shocked at the amount of reviewrs labeling the upler of the f50 as "almost knitted like" but in reality its closer to a plasticy synthetic. Plus, the soleplates on both are just so boring and conservative. Really just shows you how nostaliga of names like "f50" and "preds" help in selling an average boot in reality.
Same opinion about the f50s man. Maybe they'll get a bit softer after they're properly broken in, but after 4 hours so far they do feel more plasticky stiff. Have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Didn't try the speedportal or crazyfast though so no idea if those were even worse or not.
Just got f50s as well and completely with the both of you. Nothing like the speedflow, very plastic and stiff toe box upper area. Not enough room for wider feet so wouldn't recommend for wide feet, it's narrow and reminds me of the puma ultras

Not a fan of either. There's something about the hybrid touch upper, when you hit the ball, it just doesn't feel nice. I've stopped using my preds completely after only 2 months. Occasionally I put them on and remember why I stopped using them. The F50's are just crap for me. Very stiff, and not comfortable at all. Mizuno all the way
Do you think we’re gonna see Nike bring back the hypervenoms. I miss the 2013-2017 boot era. Especially for the turf options with the proximo X lineup. I don’t know why Nike doesn’t make their indoors or turf in their elite models
Need a shoe reco that has volume. Tried premier 3, new balance 442 reg and wide, pred pro, gx pro. Everything that’s “wide” isn’t wide and lacks volume. I have a weird shaped foot. Need help! Thanks

Neither would necessarily be better for either of those things. The big difference is in feel. If you prefer thinner feeling boots, F50s would be a great choice. If you would rather a slightly more padded feel to the upper, with the some extra grip in the part of the foot typically used for shooting a ball, the Preds would be a great choice.
Just got the f50s, tried them on. Hella uncomfortable. Yes they are really light but legit feels like nothing is supporting the bottom of your foot. No cushioning and very plastic like feel. Choosing the predators all day!
Hey Josh I plan on buying the predators but my left foot is a 10 in size and my right foot is a 9.5 what do you recommend going for the size 10 or the size 9.5
I have them, the elite versions do stretch but you have to be patient with them. I have a very high volume foot at size 12 and it took me like 4-5 days of a lot of play time to get them to become fully soft. You just have to trust the process. But they are adjustable so if you wanna be safe just get the 10 and do your right foot up very tightly.
Go for 9.5, I have the same problem, its perfect for my right foot and my left foot ends up stretching super quick i end up preferring the way my left foot feels more than my right foot.
I own the accuracy+, accuracy.1, pred elite 24 ft in the tease solar red pack and the blue ones on the video but only wear the blue. Might sell the teasers as they were limited and I haven’t used them yet. Also have phantom gx 2 in rising gem pack and puma future ultimates. I shuffle between all of them depending on pitch and weather. I would say future & accuray.1 are most comfy. Gx is a little thin so I feel the ball to much but are still very nice. accuracy+ hurt my toes after while being LL they are tighter then the .1 oh and there all true to size for me 9us. The pred 24 take a while to get comfy but they do feel very nice. Not comfy like the future or accuracy.1 but just more speed boot like compared to the others if that makes sense. Like they feel more stiff with being very low cut like the gx’s but the upper is not as soft as the gx so I feel I can boot the ball better with the upper on it. They all have their pros and cons I guess.
i was of the same mind, and k-leather will always outperform synthetics, but beckham used to always opt for a synthetic variant so i gave this new gen a shot and i have to admit if im going to have a pred thats not leather this is the best iteration of that especially once the hybrid touch 2.0 breaks in! *chef’s kiss*
Hey Josh, I just got the “chameleon” F50s and I tried them out once and it seems like one boot is “tougher” than the other one… have you encountered any similar problem to mine with any of your F50 pairs? My left boot got really soft to touch and the right one feels like if the upper is much “thicker” or I dont know how to describe it. Also the quality control on these is somewhat weird tbh

If you wear them for practicing and matches and your a serious football player the F50 elite won't last 3 months..as will most so called speed boot from any manufacturer..big con, trust me

Is ur foot I use puma future z 1.1 because of my wide foot I have tiempo 10 aswell but they not as wide in the mid foot which makes space for me.
It just means you cannot fit into a predator. There will always be football boots that just will not accommodate the shape of your foot.

I loved them too. Then I made the switch to the 24s and they are my new favorite boots. Wouldnt look any other way.

Honestly I didn’t like the predator at first, after breaking them in they’re great and I’m glad I gave them a chance.
The F50 upper breaks in really nicely after a couple of sessions.

I tried both and went with the f50 pro in half a size down from my regular 9. I have narrow feet. 9 had too much room at toe for me.

The Predator, just like the Tiempo, isn't really that unless it's made of kangaroo leather. These newer iterations aren't my cup of tea.

I personally think it’s more red, buts super bright and depending on the lighting could pass as orange.
