      I'm looking for a dupe for McCormic's Organic Red Curry spice, NOT Madras. Can you help with this? I can NOT pay what McCormick's asking in Biden's economy. Please, oh please.

    Is it necessary to toast the seeds before or I can just grind them raw?

    • @ChiliPepperMadness
      @ChiliPepperMadness  Год назад

      You can grind them without toasting, though toasting does bring out deeper flavor.

    How many teaspoons u use if you have the Kashmiri in the powder

    • @ChiliPepperMadness

      Depends on the dish. I say 2-3 for a good sized meal for 4. Maybe more.

    How long will it keep?

    • @ChiliPepperMadness
      @ChiliPepperMadness  Год назад +1

      This will keep pretty much indefinitely, but seasonings start to lose potency after 6 months, so best to use it up.

    • @papalegba6796
      @papalegba6796 8 месяцев назад

      If you mix it with oil, put in a sterile jar, & refrigerate, it will stay fresh nearly indefinitely. Adding salt helps too.

    Brilliant how much would you use for two people of the curry powder that you made please.

    • @ChiliPepperMadness
      @ChiliPepperMadness  Месяц назад

      I'd use about 1 tablespoon (15g), but then adjust to taste. You can use half for less spicy. Enjoy!
