Bala Lake Railway

Something a bit different from my usual videos - a trip on the Bala Lake Railway. Although they do have some diesel engines, we were treated to a neat little steam engine. Great fun and heartily recommended.

This was really neat!! Love trains, took one from Massachusetts to California once. Best views you will ever see is on a train... well maybe the space station but train ain’t bad!! ✌️😉

It seems so weird to have never been on a train; they are so much a part of 'normal life' for us. Regular trains are not so much fun, obviously, but we have plenty of 'historic' railways here in England.

That was a dinky railway, small but perfectly formed. How much line do they have?

9 miles apparently. There are is a stop mid way along and it takes about half an hour in total so as you can imagine it's not going too fast. Given that it's narrow gauge, and such a little engine, I wouldn't have wanted it to go faster anyway!
