I have used the Mac powder foundation for years and it has never let me down. I considered trying the Fenty one but it is much more expensive (you only get 9g of product vs 15g in MAC) and the MAC works for me so I just couldn't justify the purchase.

I’m a 440 in the Fenty liquid and the 420 powder matched me perfectly. I’ve never tried powder foundation but Fenty sold me. It’s also great to top off on top of tinted moisturizer or other liquid foundations.
You're my skin twin. I.am 440 in liquid and the 420 powder fits me perfectly. I love the texture and formula of the Fenty powder so much. The blur effect is so beautiful.

Love this side by side comparison! I just reviewed the Fenty powder and i was pleasantly Surprised how Flawless it made me look

440 in Fenty to me looked like your shade in the past video. It did not look too dark to me. Sometimes when We are not used to a match, we think the shade is too dark. 385 is a definitely no,it looks ashy on you.
440 was actually dark on me in reality. It might have looked like a good match maybe because of the lighting

I have been waiting for someone to do a comparison video of these foundations! I struggle a lot to find my perfect shade too (especially match the right undertone to my skin tone), HOWEVER I am on the very pale close to albino rose neutral spectrum, so I cannot imagine how it must be frustrating to find your match... I must say I really like how the MAC powder looks on you! Great review btw and much love from Czech Republic

I don’t know , the Mac looks a little to red/dark and the fenty looks a little to yellow pale 😩 the struggle in finding our perfect match is exhausting!! The fenty appears to be a little lighter in coverage but honestly I like the Mac foundation better . I think I will go purchase it . Thanks 😊

Gurl, I’m having the same problem. I’m between 430/440 in the liquid, so I bought 5 shades since I’ve been seeing everyone looking red with the new fenty powders. Only keeping 1! lol Testing them out, and filming/editing my first YT video! (Which is A LOT, good on you for being consistent! 🙌🏾) I’m determined to find a shade 😆. You look beautiful in the end! I'm loving the Fenty powder foundation I'm in the color 430 which is in line with the other foundations. I prefer the hydrating foundation over the soft matte because my undertone is better with that one. I pull more red than golden.

Yeah, 385 is too light for you but i could see it being used to set your under eye on natural makeup days.
I'm so happy to come across this review because I first bought the 430 from Fenty and after the first une I saw it was super red and I have yellow undetone. I changed it at Sephora the day after for the shade 390 so at the beginning it was looks like ok and after 1-2 hours guess what it was was mega red and oxidied 🤔🤔🤔🥴🥴🥴🥴 So I got my staple powder foundation that I've been using for years the Mac studio fix and I don't have to worry about my power foundation getting red trough out the day
Mac studio fix powder is tried and true I try other things but nc41 is my go to and has been for almost 20 years lol!

I definitely couldn’t find my perfect match in the Fenty powder foundation but I like the formula. I was able to find my neutral undertone in Omowela cosmetics pressed powder (light to medium coverage) but I still prefer the Fenty formula.

They both looked good. Have you tried Mac NC range? Supposed to be a more neutral golden undertone if NW 45 was off. Also, I am 440 in the liquid and 420 worked best on me in the powder. It looks better on the skin than swatched alone. Thanks for the review.

She’s right! For years they kept putting me in NW45 but last year I tried NC50 in the powder, Studio Fix liquid and the stick and it matches me perfectly!

the mac one gives you more coverage and way more product ! bad move on fenty to give you little and to make the coverage so light to medium you dont see your moneys worth at all!! which is unfair to people who actually use powder as a foundation!

What’s your color for max studio fix ?
I like full coverage I don't like lightweight foundation it seem like they put water in it and it just squirt out all over the place it's very light watery not my type of foundation 🤷💯 I'm still learning about makeup but I sure did not know that you can use press powder as a foundation interesting 🤔😍

I think you should of tried 445 in the fenty powder.
WHO EVER RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO KUDOS TO THEM CAUSE I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING AND I THINK THE MAC REPS RECOMMENDED NW45 TO EVER PERSON WITH DARK SKIN(IN THE PAST) CAUSE ACCORDING TO THEM THAT WAS MY SHADE AND I ROCKED IT FOR 10 YEARS (B4 I KNEW BETTER TO DO BETTER) BUT SINCE I HAVEN'T BEEN WEARING IT CAUSE IT'S WAY TO RED ON ME I'M GOING TO BE TRYING OUT NC55 IN MAC BUT IN FENTY I WEAR 420 SO IMMA ORDER MINE AND I HOPE IT WORKS BUT I HOPE U R ABLE TO FIND A GOOD SHADE MATCH CAUSE IT LOOKS TO HAVE A NICE FINISH AND IT LOOKS GOOD ON U

420 would go perfect for 440 in liquid. FENTY looks like skin and doesn’t break up over the day on the skin

Both of these foundations look great but they both appear to be way too light and ashy/cakey.
I agree the Fenty was ashy and not the right shade, but the Mac was a pretty good match
Fenty undertones are all over the place... in the original matt formula, i used 420..(golden undertone) and I've not been able to match since..... the newer foundation and the power foundation are too red in the same shade.... they are not good at matching their own colors... confused...

I don't know if neutral is with red undertone, I thought with a red undertone was considered a warm undertone and a neutral undertone was a olive, yellow, gold mixture. idk I have to do more research, but i'm sure red is considered a warm color.
Red is a cool undertone. It's not about the color of the skin but rather the color underneath your skin. Red is considered a warm color but for undertone it is for cool undertone. Olive, Yellow and gold are all warm undertones

Fenty doesn't even look like powder on the skin. MAC looks powdery in person and doesn't give as even as coverage. Fenty also makes your skin look seamless.
