Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast: US Chart Peak: No 4
Can't You Hear The Song: US Chart Peak: No 48
Wayne is a great success story. When he was 16 he said "hey dad I can sing!" and his dad said "that's great son, hit the road, you can take care of your self now!". I mean it's kind of a Twilight Zone episode, at 16 he was this oddball kid living in dirty roach hotels in Vegas while doing three shows a day for very little money. He stuck with it because no other choice, worked really hard and fate eventually smiled on him. Respect.
Great Job Wayne, All Elvis fans like Wayne. Daddy dont you walk so fast is a Classic
Song. Great stuff
Wayne's been my friend since 1980 I 😘 ve this song I wish I could see the whole show
One of the Greatest Entertainers of ❤ all times in this life. Thank you Wayne ❤
Wayne Newton at his best; relaxed, confident, singing two great songs and delivering the goods. A true American idol.
totally agree. Love him xx
Is he Chinese or something?
There aren't too many videos of him singing Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast early or even live so this is a special treat.
Brings back so many memories !
Daddy don't you walk so fast favorite story song. Thank. You.
What a freak... Great voice.. So hokey, but he gives the people what they want. Great vocal range.
The Man! Pure talent and has worked his whole life …a great one!
What a good presentation and arrangement. Mike 's band imho did a good job. And at least wayne sang it live and not lip sync it like many artists today. Good
This Wayne's band
The amazing Wayne Newton.❤
I saw him several years ago at the MGM in Las Vegas. His show was AMAZING. When he sang this song I actually cried. LOVE IT!
A great man with a great soul❤
Both songs were Top 10 smashes in my area of the country in 1972 and how special it is to see a young Mr Newton performing these songs at that time. Mike Douglas' band does not do justice to the original recordings so I encourage everyone to purchase the CD: I Believe In Music: Wayne Newton Sings The Hits of The 70s
Wayne Newton has looked good in every stage of his life from baby to 77 years young. I still like to hear him sing, play the fiddle and entertain us. He has so much energy and a love of life and loves making people happy. I am going to see his show in December 2019 and I know that I will leave with memories that will last my lifetime.
Great vocal instruments he was one of the best
it was my favorite song!
🎶😀❤✨One my "favourite.." Performers growing up. Filled our home with music and love..great memorable times🎵😉
Great song and performance
he is one of my favorite
His best HIt!
he had a great voice
One of the greatest male vocalist of all time... This is a Wes Farrell (of Partridge Family fame) produced gem...
Wayne back in the 1960’s played the night club in Boston. The Monticello
Oh jezzzzzz,,,, Horn players, get it in tune. Wayne nails it.
His voice was tops here!
He can really sing,,,,
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
Wayne is a legend. He is not my taste and that’s ok. I absolutely acknowledge he is a legend. I’m just not sure I’m a fan of Wayne or anyone for that matter, telling me about their record sales in the middle of a live set. A great singer is a great singer. I like a lot of great singers and bands, some of whom aren’t backed by millions of records sold. Like what you like because of how the music makes you feel and not because someone sold a bunch of records.
My daugj
I remember when he first started singing as a chubby kid with no facial hair and high pitched voice.
Do you have the whole Mke Douglous show with wayne interview and all
Why did his voice change SO much around the late 60s/early 70s?
you can still hear a bit of his voice from his days in the 60s, especially in the higher notes. in the 70s he wanted to do country and started to sing differently
The linked video interview, ruclips.net/video/qcdrD06RjhE/видео.html tells how things changed with them starting in 1969, and why.
Personally, a very sad song in reverse. I'm the one who got left
How was this ever seen as entertainment???
😂😂😂😂😅
His grandmother must of told him he was a good singer 🤣
Your opinion is rude sir. He's a beautiful singer and a brilliant talent. Sorry you'll never be the man he is.
Her and the rest of the world that made him famous 💀 I’d say he did pretty dang well for himself
Farrell gave too many good songs to Cassidy... Newton is the greatest singer on planet earth... ok, so is Jones!
I do not dig Wayne Newton very much. His voice is strange as well as his look. Credit to him making it in the business with little looks or voice. Very odd.
Everyone has a different view of who someone is to them. I think Wayne Newton is a wonderful man he is very handsome and his voice is too.
arrrggh, what a horrible noise....... Can't sing to save his life. music mast have been pretty lousy back then hey?
Paul barreto, watch wayne newton live at the london palladium.one of the greatest live concerts ever.wayne was in great form and put on a spectacular show.he also happens to be one of the greatest entertainers ever.
he used to have one of the greatest voices in the 60s, he ruined his voice when he went country
It's hokey. The band sounds like shit, but he's singing live and I'm not hearing any bad notes. So, the million dollars a month he was making in Vegas proves to me that he can sing to save his life,, and many more. Maybe even yours.
