A tiny Jumping Spider.. not knowing what a scorpion is capable of doing, got excited when he saw my scorpions. After seeing how excited he was, I decided to offer him a roach.. and boy, was he happy spider!
This video may be a little brutal to some, but it shows how Jumping Spiders hunt and tackle down prey in the wild. Quite often we see these little guys hopping around, but seldom do we see them hunt, so this video is the perfect example of how they do it.

I love those guys. I've held many and found once calmed you can become friends with them. I have never even tried to be bitten and once I release them they recognize me when I see them again and will actually jump on me when I ask. Way too cute critters, very intelligent.

With this video in mind, I found a jumping spider roughly a week ago and I've fed it 3 wild spiders in my house, and it aggressively ate the spiders every time. It also keeps returning back to the spot where I keep releasing it, so I think it knows what's going on. It's so cool.

For their size they're unbelievably intelligent little hunters. Jumping spiders tend to specifically target that gap in the exoskeleton right at the back of the head/neck.
This one tried going for the underbody and almost got chewed up for it. So it stayed back and waited for the roach to flip over.

Honestly kinda surprised you didn't whip up an enclosure for this little dude. I'm not really a spider fan but I've long thought jumping spiders are adorable. They're typically very inquisitive and like to explore, both traits which make them very proficient hunters in the insect/arachnid world.
I have arachnophobia but this might have cured it, the look it gave at 2:50 was so adorable

When I find a spider i catch it in a cup, spray the cup with some water then catch a fruit fly and keep the spider as a pet for the night then release him somewhere far away from my bedroom the next day lol. Then when I catch him again I repeat the process 😁

I have 3 jumping spiders, Phidippus Audax, & i also have a Rabid Wolf spider! They're all so much fun to watch & to feed. I also will go around my house & feed the jumping spiders! I've managed to record a couple of their meals! They do always seem thankful in a way, it's cute. They're so accurate when it comes to pouncing on their prey!
