I've had that issue with p30sk . However, after lots of practice ,not so much. But thanks for addressing this common speedbump. I'm a lefty and love paddle mag release and ambidextrous controls.
My absolute favorite handgun ergonomically. I wish they came stock with the GrayGuns short reset system and a slimmer release lever because like you, I have the same issue. thanks for sharing.
I don't know. It probably needs replaced or maybe the splined cross piece is worn. Neither of my P30s have that problem yet. That being said I don't shoot the grey one much. I did just take it out along with the black one last Friday and both preformed great! I traded the HK 45 for a USP 45 so I no longer have that one.
I was a little confused. Which P30 models were you referring to? You kept saying, p30 for each gun. What p30 did you change the slide lock? Which was the other p30 you already had a smaller lock on? Great video.
Good video but my 2 cents (which no one asked for 😂) your thumbs have zero value with regard to pistol grip. I’m a lefty and EDC my P30L. No issues with the slide not locking back. You should try fixing your grip. Happy shooting.
Naa I'm not changing my grip for one gun. I have been using the same grip for decades and this is the only gun I have had any problems with so I changed the gun and it works great now.

Glad it helped! Thanks for watching.
I love them too! M&P is a close second for me and no slide lock problem either
Just picked up P30 and having same prob !! Great explanation & solved thanks !!!
Glad to help. Thanks for watching.
I love this gun... If you have manual safety, you can "ride" the safety lever with your thumb and it's very comfortable...
I've been using the P30L for several years now. The right slide release rattles now. I wonder if the HK45 slide release will fix that.

Good idea
Why not leave that side out completely?
I like having both.. I like options.
Thank you for this! I was ridin' that thing too. It'd a great lil reverse gas pedal, if the slide would still lock.
Glad it helped!
Bar None the HK P30LS in 9mm is my favorite gun i have well over 35,000 rounds true it and it is flawless
Sweet! good to know it an get 30K rounds. probably last me until I take my dirt nap !!

The p30S has the short slide lock from the factory. Sorry for the confusion.
I just got the SK and I was having the same trouble. I mean it is almost molded for you thumb to set there.
I guess you will have to cut it shorter on the SK. Its the shortest one they make.
@@fuddlife Or readjust grip.
@@Simfight yup
@@fuddlife hk actually makes a “short and slim” model slide release for the p30sk. costs about 80 bucks for the set.
Will this fit HK VP9. I’m having the same issue with the slide release and I shoot left handed.
Reg, I don't have access to a VP9 and can't say for sure but I don't believe it will work. Sorry and thanks for watching.
Those are not wood guns or Jon boats?
(p30s_v3) has the shorter slide lock/release
p30s = p30!
Too bad the ATF wont let us have suppressors without jumping through their hoops.....a lot less people would suffer hearing loss.
That's true but will never happen because they make money by requiring a tax stamp.
Change your grip, shoot thumb up. Your trying to fix the gun to correct user error.
My grip works for me as your grip works for you. And now the gun works for my grip.
