As a Yorkshireman I can hand on heart say I've never heard of bangers and mash in the hole. Bangers and mash... Yep. Toad in the hole... Yep. Never combined 😂.
As a Yorkshirewoman I can hand on heart say I have heard of bangers and mash served in a yorkshire pudding. Usually it's a large toad in hole with the only space left on the plate for the mash being inside the toad in the hole! 😂
my kingdom for some real English breakfast sausage. even when I lived in Houston there was only one place to get a full English breakfast, and even then only Sat/Sun. now I live in the country and I’d have to drive an hour minimum just to find a place to buy the correct sausage and black pudding, let alone have someone actually cook it up for me w all the trimmings 😭😭😭
Crowded too lol 😂 my husband and I haven’t walked around DT during Christmas in years because of how packed it always is. We just drive by. It is beautiful though! I love the light display with Jesus near the park area! There’s also a Christmas store in downtown.
I love Renninger's in Mount Dora! You can easily spend the entire day there looking at all the antiques they have. They also have some food booths in there also.
I suggest going to One Flight Up, it's a really good coffee shop in Mount Dora but they have a lot of good dishes. Also they have a lot of good shops and dining places in Tavares like the O'Keefe's Irish pub and restaurant.
So, lately my hubby and I have been watching your videos every evening.. We throughly enjoy your videos, from Tim's sense of humor, your beautiful smiling son or Jens positivity... Thanks for always giving us a show to watch together and really enjoy!!!! Tim... we freakin love u, you and Jen were meant for this!! 🤪😝😘
It looks so cute there! I’d love to see a series of your family exploring lesser known places in Florida. Florida is so nice and while I love the theme parks the weather is so great I’m sure it’s nice to visit some cute towns too
I know all three towns since I live in Eustis. I love going to Mt. Dora and watching the sunset near the lighthouse. It is so beautiful! Hope you guys had a great time :))
Mt. Dora is having an art festival next weekend. It’s amazing and takes over the whole city. The Christmas walk is absolutely breathtaking it’s so magical.
I absolutely love little towns. And big little towns. More people need to love them and more people need to talk about them. I love them. HISTORY! And fun.
Was just watching some of the super old vlogs... and the ones where you review your old vlogs! Its amazing to watch how far its all come! Thanks for bringing us a little positive escape everyday!
I am really enjoying these videos showing the smaller towns in Florida. I get tired of the Disney videos all the time. I hope you can continue to do these different videos at least once per week.
Every year my BFF's and I would go to Mt Dora in the fall ... such great times .. we stayed at to the hotel and many of the B&B's in town .. thanks for this walk down memory lane !!
You forgot they painted the whole downtown pepto bismal pink!! I was there just after they finished filming. It was very pink!! The tea room is wonderful. I went there often during my first pregnancy.
What a quaint place! Very relaxing and interesting video, on big smile from Jackson just warms my heart and makes me smile! Much needed! Thank you for the stroll!
In December 2019 me and my partner came to florida, from the UK for our 4th time, but this was the first time we decided to hire a car. The place we decided to visit was Mount Dora, we decided to have food in a little pub called Magical Meat Boutique. It was so beautiful in the night with all the Christmas lights and the tree, so much so when we come back in September this year we have decided to visit Mount Dora again in the day. This video today has brought back some wonderful memories for us. Thank you
I lived in Mt Dora until last year when I move down the road into Tavares. It’s a cute little area. You guys should come to Tavares some time and see the sea planes!
Thank you so much for visiting Mount Dora! My grandparents lived in Mount Dora on the corner of N Donnelly St and 5th Avenue in the 70's. As a child we would make the long drive from NY to FL and stay with them for 2 weeks. Their apartment was above what is now Matamo Designs. The back door of the building led to the alleyway where the Mt Dora Historical Museum is (it used to be called the Jail Museum). At the front of the alley, where Scoops Ice Cream is, was a bakery - and to this day, the smell of a glazed donut brings me right back to Mt Dora. Apparently I took my first steps as a child by Lake Dora. I remember rollerskating in the evenings - we loved all the sidewalks and paths around the shuffleboard courts in Donnelly Park. My grandparents lived there when Honky Tonk Freeway was filmed - did you know they painted the entire main street PINK? www.orlandosentinel.com/news/lake/os-honky-tonk-freeway-mt-dora-20160817-story.html They painted everything back to its original color after filming but you could always find bits of pink sticking out here and there after that! Thank you again, for all of your videos. The world is a richer place because of you. :)
Aw, I used to love making trips out to Mount Dora when I lived in Orlando! I love little historic towns like that. I haven't been there in years since we moved to California, but it's such a neat place.
@@TheLostfoundationwe were seated right away and maybe like a 20 minute wait for food but we were a table nine. And I'm never in a rush to leave and most of the time when I've been there live music.
We love when you guys go to places in the surrounding area. As a person looking to eventually move to Florida, it's really nice to get a glimpse off the beaten path. Thanks!
When I tell you I raced to the comments to make sure I wasn’t the only one who caught that! It definitely scared me I had noise canceling headphones in and literally thought someone yelled at me when I thought I was the only one in the house
I still remember the corn maze video a while back ago. I'm glad you had a chance to come back to Mt. Dora!😊 It's good to take some time away from the parks. 👍
We live about 30 min from Downtown Mt. Dora and it’s one of our most favorite towns to spend the day! The history is rich, the restaurant choices are so diverse, and the shops and antique shops are so fun! The Historic hotel they mentioned is beautiful and right on the lake. You can do eco boat tours and air water plane tours. For Christmas they decorate the train and do a Polar Express style train ride. I was so happy to see them there and look forward to them going again!
I live over in Eustis for 6 years and love to walk Mt. Dora. I learned more from your vlog then I did visiting. Thank you as always the best. Plus it is a thrill to see how Jackson has grown up.
I live in Mount Dora and wished I could have run into you all. There are so many things to see here. The store with the carved books on the facade was a book store for many years called Dickens-Reed. Goblin Market is a top restaurant in the area. The houses on stilts over the water is Boathouse Row. We have a beautiful boardwalk that that goes out around the lake by the lighthouse, and we have several Frisbee Golf courses, pickleball courts and a very nice mountain bike trail riding course set back in the woods that is quite popular. Christmas 2020 the city was boasting 2 million lights decorating our downtown. You definitely need to make plans for another visit.
Mount Dora is such a cute town. i visited there a few years ago when I was visiting my sister in FL. The Windsor Tea Shop is a great place for a proper British tea. The best scones with cream. I am hoping to visit again.
This video was so cool. I understand Spring break is happening. I'm glad you are doing videos of places other than the theme parks. Mount Dora looks very quaint. Love the houses.
I discovered your channel; over lockdown- all I can say is thanks for the content! You genuinely brighten my day & I know I can always stick your channel on when I need something relaxing and wholesome. Gotta add as well, I'm not really a Disney person- nor have I ever watched family or theme park channels, but the good vibes here are SO imbecile I find myself addicted to this channel. I think it might just be adhesive nose bridge strips, I’ve seen them on Amazon. It seems like he wears them sometimes and then will have the same mask without it on sometimes. Not 100% sure though
What a cool little town. Can't believe your food took so long to come out, and it didn't even look busy. Loved the purple "New Orleans" house on the lake - so different, and cool! The bangers and mash are served in a giant Yorkshire pudding, hence the name of the dish.
I love that the British pub INCLUDES tax, like how we do it here in the UK! Dunno why, thought it was pretty cool lol (simple things 😂)
I love America but the biggest annoyance is the tax 😂. This was a huge thumbs up when we noticed.
I hated that when visiting the US! The amount of times I thought I had the exact money only to have tax added at the till! Argh!
Mt. Dora at Christmas is absolutely Beautiful.

Some of my favorite videos are ones when they go to places outside the parks. There's more things to do in Florida than just the parks and beaches.
A dinner cruise with no dinner, that was so funny & made me giggle 😂! Mount Dora, looks like a lovely place... xx
Wasn’t one of their new year’s predictions that they would go to a mountain? And now they’re at Mount Dora? Coincidence? I think not 😆
Great line when Tim pointed out the houses in the water on stilts, “Perfect place for a Hurricane.”😳😬🤣
Love these different kind of vid lately, such a great family
