We got our 2nd Moderna shot about 2 weeks ago - my husband was completely fine, just a sore arm. But I had 101-102 fever, chills and body aches (we're 41). My Mom is 73 and got Moderna too, was completely fine with both shots. I think it just depends on the person. What helped me was having an ice pack for my arm and head when I felt the fever and Tylenol. Just ride it out for 2 days and I was fine afterwards. We're here in NYC and they just opened up to 16 and older.... waiting for the ones for kids so our 12 and 8 year old can get it and get back to in-person school (they are home school now). Congratulations on the 1st dose and good luck with the 2nd :) :)
Hi guys! My mom is 81 and she had no side effects from either dose. Btw, all the elder members of my family got their second shots weeks ago. Other than soreness, I had no side effects with the first shot. My second one is in a couple weeks. Glad you got yours!
I just want to say that I really love these home vlogs. It feels like I'm getting to watch Jackson grow up alongside you and it's so heartwarming to see what a happy and active little boy he is. His joy reflects so well on the parenting you guys perform as a team. It makes me nostalgic for the childhood I only wish I had and warms my heart dearly. ❤️

When Jackson gets a little older, he might like a steamer at coffee shops. My LOs love them. They will make them at warm temp. It's basically like Tim said, steamed milk. But get a pump of vanilla and it tastes like warm ice cream. You can pump any flavor, but we like vanilla and caramel.
That’s smart! I also sleep on my left side which was the trickiest part of the vaccine for me...maybe with my next flu shot or whatever I’ll try the right arm

That is what we all should be doing until we hit heard amunity. Which should be maybe fall, not sure ! You should be careful for 2 weeks after your second shot.

Everyone is different. After the second dose, my husband and I just had sore arms. Mine itched too and was redish. Ice pack on arm, Benadryl ointment to stop itching, Tylenol or Motrin.
I got my 2nd moderna last week and my arm was mildly sore and the next day I was sleepy and tired and needed a nap, other than that I was fine! I actually had a lot more arm soreness and didn’t feel well 1st shot after the first shot compared to the 2nd. Everyone is different but I’m happy y’all were able to get them!
My dad walked by the Walmart pharmacy when it was closing and the pharmacist asked him if he wanted to get the moderna vaccine because he had 2 ppl who didn’t show. So by luck he got his and called me to come up there. We were happy to get them. Then GA opened the vaccine up to everyone a week later lol still grateful though!!
I looooooved Agent Carter. I wish it was only 1 season, or they had another one before it was cancelled. Definitely Worth a watch if you enjoy the 40's ✨
I just wanted to chime in, once I got the vaccine my anxiety level just the decreased. Then once my daughter, who has special needs, got the vaccine my anxiety just plummeted down. I am so grateful that we are both fully vaccinated. Just waiting for the rest of the world, for things to get back to normal. My girl cannot/will not wear a mask.I never got a fever with the Moderna vaccine however I did get cold and was shivering. Another hack for the sore arm, on the second shot I just use a heating pad on it and I didn’t get a sore arm on the second shot. Just the chills for a mere five hours.
Hi I’m from the UK and had the AstraZenica. I had a temperature and shivers the first night and a headache but it only lasted 24 hours. So pleased we’re all getting vaccinated because it means we’ll be able to travel to Florida sooner 🙌 x
Astra Zeneca isn’t approved in the US and by the time it is, presuming it is, we likely won’t need it because there will be enough doses of the other three shots approved here. I think a lot of Americans would prefer one of the other three anyhow.
Here's a tip for the Starbucks drink: I tried getting it and they ran out of the brown sugar syrup too, but they suggested using praline or hazelnut syrup instead, so I got the hazelnut and it was soooo good! I would imagine they probably taste extremely similar, so if you ever try it again and they are out of the brown sugar syrup, try the hazelnut syrup instead!
So happy you were able to get the vaccine! I had the Johnson and Johnson one yesterday at Publix. Arm wasn’t sore. I did the elliptical for 30 minutes before the shot so maybe that helped! Mild side affects next day. Headache and low fever!

I think that Florida is different - in my state (NJ) you cannot call and get on a list for leftover doses, unfortunately. You cannot call pharmacies directly. You can only use the appointment systems. However, if you happen to be in a pharmacy that is finishing for the day and they have leftovers, you may be able to get one.
I felt the same way, I almost cried when I got my first dose. It’s like it’s a new beginning, the beginning of the rest of our lives and going back to “normal”. That and it was hell to get an appointment so I was relieved lol
Cute end to the video! I’m so excited you guys got your shots! I also got my first Moderna shot. I got it on March 22. My second shot is the day after my seven year wedding anniversary on April 19. I am a teacher of the visually impaired in Lee County Florida. I had the same reaction as Tim, pretty much no side effects and no arm soreness at all which I was really surprised and happy about. I did have a slight headache afterwards but other than that I was good! We’re getting there!!
Congrats on your vaccines! I sincerely hope everyone who is able to get vaccinated will do so. We're a family of a high risk kid and the more people vaccinated means a better turn out for her and other kids and adults like her. I was finally able to get my first Pfizer last Monday, and my husband has his first dose as well, which is a huge relief. No side effects except a sore arm for the first 24ish hours.
@@liveletlive1811 stop, it’s your right to choose what you do, but stop telling everyone to google a company because you don’t like them. Also you aren’t spelling Pfizer correctly.

I have been following your vlog for quite awhile and want to thank you for brightening my day with your daily posts :) Jackson is such a cutie and fun watching him change and just enjoy life
So happy y’all got your shot I am a healthcare worker and got both off mine a month ago and I am doing fine thanks for sharing this so people can know that it’s ok
I'm so glad you feel good after taking your shots! I also got Moderna. The first shot was fine but the second one gave me sore joints and later that night chills and a fever. Fortunately I got over it in one night. Mentally, it helped me reduce my anxiety a great deal and I felt almost back to normal. I hope your second dose is mild!
Yay! I got my second dose yesterday (Pfizer) and I was a bit nervous because I had COVID back in July so I didn’t want to deal with the symptoms again but here I am almost 24 hours later and all I had was a light fever. Congrats y’all!!!!
I’m from Australia and we don’t eat peanut butter and jam (jelly) either. I have tried it and it’s quite strange but we have Vegemite on our sandwiches and most people from overseas can’t stand the taste (mostly because they put too much on). It’s very interesting the differences in culture.
Hey Tim and Jen. Congratulations on getting your 1st dose. I got mine yesterday. Tim you are completely right about the arm movement but not the massaging. The nurse who administered my shot of Pfizer flat out said rotate your arm as much as you can but do not massage it at all. Anyway yes it’s a great feeling knowing I am helping our world get back to some type of normalcy
Even with the vaccines Dr. Fauci still thinks indoor dining is a risk. Glad you both were able to get yours and Tim’s Parents are now fully vaccinated. I’m in my 50’s and was finally able to get my first one this past week.
Fauci needs to tell the truth. Once fully vaccinated you are good and if you already had the virus you are good. Mask wearing after vaccination has no bearing at all. I think Fauci thinks Public isn’t quite ready for that info. All Doctors will tell you this. Bottom line get vaccinated.
@@ican8243 I watched his news conference two weeks ago and he says even though he is fully vaccinated, he does not eat in a restaurant but however does pickup. He says not everyone is vaccinated and that we don’t know yet that fully vaccinated won’t pass Covid along to people who are not vaccinated.
I just got my second dose this past Monday. I've been working in-person as a teacher since August so it's a huge relief to be able to work without constantly feeling scared. Congrats you two!
I’ve had my first vaccine in the UK and I’m in my early 40’s. We’re doing so well here. I’ve had a tightness in my arm and had a tiredness wash over me today but no aches & pains
So you happy that you got your first vaccine! I got my first one last week over here in Tampa, got the Pfizer one and just a bit of a sore arm too. ☺️👍🏻
I grew up eating peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches in my childhood, I first ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when older. I typically prefer peanut butter and jam sandwiches nowadays.
Yup. Fluffernutters are definitely an East Coast thing. (Grew up in PA.) One the other side of the Mississippi, though, many have never heard of it and finding the fluff has only recently gotten easier.
Yay! So happy you guys got the vaccine. I did too. Here in CT as of April 1st they are opening it to ages 16 and up! Praying for normal life soon for us all!
I would recommend Agent Carter to fans of WandaVison. It’s a similar style and has fabulous costumes! It kind of explains the origins or Shield and Jarvis. I think it’s still “canon” or at least the films don’t affect the plot too much.
Agent Carter is really, really good. I loved it. It got canceled too soon. It should still be cannon although Agents of Shield is not cannon anymore, for the prime universe. Cap and Agent Carter spend a lifetime together, but in an alternative universe. According to End Game directors.
I work in healthcare and I got moderna. The side effects for the second shot hit you about 8-24 hours post shot. For my first shot I got a headache and some slight nausea. Nothing crazy very mild. With the shot both times ice and keep moving your arm. The second shot hit me almost 24 hours after the shot. I got body aches in my joints (mainly my hips/pelvis and my left knee). My physical therapist got a fever and chills. He said keep ahead of the Tylenol and you’ll be good. So glad you guys finally got the shot! So exciting!
Happy you were both able to get Dose 1. It is one of the strangest feelings in getting it. Can I say that Jackson’s hair is just beautiful. What a color! Stay safe and healthy!
Hello from San Antonio. My family loves going to Disney just like you do. Until COVID, we have gone to Disney World every year since 2009. My wife, daughter and I missed last year but we are now ready for 2021 trip on Thanksgiving week. Just like you we receive our shots and are ready for things to start to return to normal. My daughter and I have watched you since 2014 ever since she looked up Disney park videos and your videos came up on the search. Love your videos, keep up the good work and it fun and funny to go back and look at your older video's and see how ya'll have changed over the year. Hope to see you in the parks some time.
Congratulations on getting vaccinated! Thank you trusting science, being part of the solution, and taking the necessary steps for us to all get back to normal! Hopefully y’all’s 2nd dose goes okay. My husband was so sick after the second! 101 fever, body aches, all of it! Totally fine the next day. Worth it!
Everyone is different. After the second dose, my husband and I just had sore arms. Mine itched too and was redish. Ice pack on arm, Benadryl ointment to stop itching, Tylenol or Motrin.
I’m also a teacher and got the Moderna shots. The first shot was fine...but the second shot knocked me out for 36 hours. It was rough.
I was gonna say this
After my second shot I was just a little tired for couple days but that’s all I did.
I had both Moderna in February. I work for a large medical center. I had a sore arm both times and that is all. I wasn’t sick after the second at all.
No side effects at all?
@@teairraweiss4195 no orher than a sore arm.
@@abismommy Thanks!
I got my second shot yesterday and so excited! So happy for yall!
Love yalls videos! It’s a wonderful break from the craziness of life!
My dad had both doses of that and was fine and my sister has had 1 so far and she felt really ill after. I'm waiting to be able to get mine
Astra Zeneca isn’t approved in the US and by the time it is, presuming it is, we likely won’t need it because there will be enough doses of the other three shots approved here. I think a lot of Americans would prefer one of the other three anyhow.
I LOVED when Jackson smiled
Here's a tip for the Starbucks drink: I tried getting it and they ran out of the brown sugar syrup too, but they suggested using praline or hazelnut syrup instead, so I got the hazelnut and it was soooo good! I would imagine they probably taste extremely similar, so if you ever try it again and they are out of the brown sugar syrup, try the hazelnut syrup instead!
Wow Jenn, I am impressed with your cooking skills and plating!
Hearing how happy you guys are about the vaccine is amazing! Thanks for your encouragement! Counting the days to the second dose!
Oh my gosh! I've been away for a few months and my how he's grown! Such a delight to watch you guys. You put a smile in my day! LOVE THAT SLIDE :)
Our high risk daughter gets her first shot on Tuesday! Yay for the vaccine!
I get my second Moderna tomorrow! 🥳🥳🥳
Yay to life slowly returning to normal! 🥳 And thank you for all the joy you share with your videos!
For the second shot, the key is the hydrate!! Drink a big coconut water before and after the shot and the next day and it definitely helps!!
I've heard this too. I basically had a huge headache and was just achy and tired and felt blah.
Where i live there’s actually a kids frappe and it’s just whipped cream with some caramel syrup in a small cup😋
2:30 Jackson going down the slide so cute 😊
The Easter candy discussion 😂
I think of these segments as Late Night Chats with Tim & Jenn; they're some of my favorite parts of the videos!
My hubby and I are seniors and got our second shot last Wednesday. It is like a big weight has been lifted off of our shoulders!
Google Phizer criminal history. Just be aware.....
@@liveletlive1811 stop, it’s your right to choose what you do, but stop telling everyone to google a company because you don’t like them. Also you aren’t spelling Pfizer correctly.
@@jaimemactx accusations without substation is the height of ignorance. I never said anything on how I felt about them. Best to know the facts. Chill.
@@jaimemactx *substantiation
@@liveletlive1811 well considering you have been replying to people who have said they have gotten the vaccine and telling them to Google Pfizer’s criminal report and be aware, it sounds like you don’t support the vaccine, which is your right. HOWEVER, it’s not ok for you to keep replying to people who are saying that they have at risk people in their families and hope everyone get vaccinated for the safety of those member, which is completely understandable because I feel the same way due to at risk members of my family. Also telling someone to chill, doesn’t make people chill, just tends to irritate them, which may have been your reason for saying it, but I am VERY chill right now drinking a glass of wine and “chilling” watching a movie, thanks for the advice though. 🤷🏻♀️
Such great news you both received your 1st dose and already scheduled for your 2nd dose! I received both doses and my arm was a little sore both times for the first day (I'm over 65 so was glad no bad reactions). I can't wait until the rest of my family become eligible in a couple of weeks here in California!
I'm def reading comments to see how people are doing with the vaccine
I'm so glad you feel good after taking your shots! I also got Moderna. The first shot was fine but the second one gave me sore joints and later that night chills and a fever. Fortunately I got over it in one night. Mentally, it helped me reduce my anxiety a great deal and I felt almost back to normal. I hope your second dose is mild!
I normally try to have a jar of both Crunchy and creamy peanut butter because I’m the same way Jenn!! 🥜
Crunchy peanut butter spreads so much easier on non-toasted bread if you mix the peanut butter and jelly before you put it on the bread.
Yay! I got my second dose yesterday (Pfizer) and I was a bit nervous because I had COVID back in July so I didn’t want to deal with the symptoms again but here I am almost 24 hours later and all I had was a light fever. Congrats y’all!!!!
That’s good to know, I have my second Pfizer vaccine on Friday and hoping the side effects are not to bad
I’m from Australia and we don’t eat peanut butter and jam (jelly) either. I have tried it and it’s quite strange but we have Vegemite on our sandwiches and most people from overseas can’t stand the taste (mostly because they put too much on). It’s very interesting the differences in culture.
I think Jackson’s pointing to ghosts 😂
I was thinking the same thing.
I was thinking that too
I’ve been thinking the same thing the whole time.
I saw that too😂
Hey Tim and Jen.
Dr Fauci would have us all sitting in our houses for the rest of our lives wearing 15 masks!!!
@@ican8243 I agree - what is the point of getting the vaccine if we can't start living our lives.
DrFauci is a joke. A puppet being used to voice an agenda.
I am British and had never eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich until a few years ago here in the US!! 🇬🇧❤️
When my husband and I got our second shot I could just feel my stress level dropping
Ditto! Had my second one last week so on the countdown to going out and about again :)
I agree...I felt such relief after getting my vaccine (J&J one dose)
I just got my second dose this past Monday. I've been working in-person as a teacher since August so it's a huge relief to be able to work without constantly feeling scared. Congrats you two!
I'm so happy that y'all were able to start your vaccine process!
I’ve had my first vaccine in the UK and I’m in my early 40’s. We’re doing so well here. I’ve had a tightness in my arm and had a tiredness wash over me today but no aches & pains
I read the title and literally cheered. I’m getting my first vaccine on Friday
Jackson is such a happy baby! Love watching y'all.
So you happy that you got your first vaccine! I got my first one last week over here in Tampa, got the Pfizer one and just a bit of a sore arm too. ☺️👍🏻
Yes, definitely move your arm when it hurts. It really helps. Pediatrician have told me that when my kids were little getting vaccines.
That is the way I felt when I got my shot. Next shot is in April. I can't wait!
I love you guys!!!! Lately, we have been eating peanut butter and fresh blueberry sandwiches. Soooooooooooooo YUM
I grew up eating peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches in my childhood, I first ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when older. I typically prefer peanut butter and jam sandwiches nowadays.
Peanut butter and fluff is SO GOOD!!!
I grew up with those sandwiches, too (I grew up in Upstate NY). We called them FLUFFERNUTTERS. Yummy!
My son takes peanut butter and fluff for lunch every day (New Englander here)
Yup. Fluffernutters are definitely an East Coast thing. (Grew up in PA.) One the other side of the Mississippi, though, many have never heard of it and finding the fluff has only recently gotten easier.
I loved PB and Brown Sugar! -- K
Yay! So happy you guys got the vaccine. I did too. Here in CT as of April 1st they are opening it to ages 16 and up! Praying for normal life soon for us all!
Hi, Tim and Jen Did you HHN is coming back this year.
Universal announced that they would
Scheduled both doses yesterday! So excited. First shot this week and second shot at the end of April.
I would recommend Agent Carter to fans of WandaVison. It’s a similar style and has fabulous costumes! It kind of explains the origins or Shield and Jarvis. I think it’s still “canon” or at least the films don’t affect the plot too much.
Love you guys. It’s so obvious how much you love each other and how happy y’all are to be together. You’re soooooo cute!
Every half hour I would move my arm around and I think it worked!
Agent Carter is really, really good. I loved it. It got canceled too soon. It should still be cannon although Agents of Shield is not cannon anymore, for the prime universe. Cap and Agent Carter spend a lifetime together, but in an alternative universe. According to End Game directors.
When are you expecting your $1,300 payment?
So happy for you that you were able to get your vaccine. It was such a relief for us.
@@NicholasTranscends stfu bro. to each their own.
Congratulations on getting vaccinated! Thank you trusting science, being part of the solution, and taking the necessary steps for us to all get back to normal! Hopefully y’all’s 2nd dose goes okay. My partner and I had to deal with fever, chills, body aches, and severe headaches after the 2nd dose, but it only lasted 24 hours. Best of luck :)
