Interesting how few of these have lasted the distance. Even Duel, Spielberg's brilliant debut drama is rarely seen these days.
You're absolutely right-some incredible films from that era, like Duel, seem to fade from mainstream view despite their brilliance. It's a shame because Spielberg’s gripping debut deserves more recognition. Let’s hope platforms continue to revive classics like these for newer audiences to discover!
Good quiz but each film clip was of different lengths so some gave more time to remember the title. The last one (The Man Who Would Be King) seemed very short.
40 - there are some great movies on here
40 out of 50 is a fantastic score! I'm glad you enjoyed the selection of movies.
47 out of 50 . Seventies movies just get better with age.
47 out of 50 is impressive! I totally agree-there's something timeless about '70s movies. They really do get better with age!
Got 20 right, didn’t know 13 at all, 17 I knew but couldn’t place the scene.❤
Great effort-getting 20 right is no small feat! The mix of unknowns and almost-recognized scenes makes it such a fun challenge. ❤ Thanks for playing along!
Very tight on time to answer, good tho
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it! We'll look into adjusting the time for future videos to make answering more comfortable.
"Johnny Got his Gun" - never saw it and from that scene I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it
Totally understand, 'Johnny Got His Gun' is definitely a unique film. Not everyone's cup of tea, but that's what makes these quizzes fun! Thanks for giving it a shot! 🎬👍
Got most of them. But I do wish these ‘critics’ learned to pronounce directors’ names correctly!
Glad you got most of them! And fair point-name pronunciation can definitely be tricky, especially with some legendary directors. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, hard to miss that. AI I think.
What's Up, Doc? and Paper Moon are two of the greatest movies ever! Both directed by Peter Bogdanovich.
Absolutely! "What's Up, Doc?" and "Paper Moon" are both classics of the 1970s. Peter Bogdanovich was a brilliant director who brought a unique energy and style to these films. I'm glad you enjoyed them!
The book,Addie Pray, which Paper Moon is based upon,is MUCH better than the movie, but that can be said about 9 of 10 books that movies are based on....
37. The ones I missed I had absolutely no idea about, couldn't even make a guess.
Some of these movies are pretty obscure, even for film buffs."😁
37 out of 50. I thought i did pretty well, but from some of the other comments I guess I'm a bit of a lightweight.
I only did 24, British, Horror and Musicals ruined the passing mark LOL, not bad for a Palestinian who saw most of these movies back in Lebanon.
"24 isn’t bad at all, especially with those tricky genres thrown in! Kudos to you for recognizing so many classics from back in Lebanon. Keep at it, and you’ll crush that passing mark next time!
I’m surprised The Poseidon Adventure wasn’t mentioned
Got 43 the only reason I got Cabaret always been mad Liza go the Oscar over Diane Keaton
48/50
48 out of 50 is really impressive!
Got 2 wrong but on plus side I seen 23 of the movies in the cinema.
Only 2 wrong and you've seen 23 of them in the cinema? That's awesome! You've got some great movie memories. Thanks for joining in!
Some scenes are to short or unrecognizable due to irreverent part of the story.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely keep this in mind for future videos. Balancing the right length and relevance can be tricky, but your input helps improve the experience. 😊
correction,,,,"That's Frankinsten".
"Thanks for the heads-up! But rest assured, the title's got it right. It's always fun revisiting those classic scenes! 🧟♂🎬
What hump?
