@9:10 - the poster shown is the "Mutiny on the Bounty" from 1935, starring Clark Gable and Charles Laughton, directed by Frank Lloyd.
Thanks for catching that! I appreciate the keen eye. It looks like there was a mix-up with the poster. Thanks for pointing it out!
You beat me to it, lol.
I got all but three. The variety and quality of the films of the sixties makes the majority of the modern films look like garbage.
Good gracious - EVERYBODY uses that fake AI voice. Can't you get a different voice or better yet, a REAL person?
Thanks for the honest feedback! I’d use my own voice, but trust me, the AI sounds way better! 😄 I really appreciate your honest input
@@QuizzFiesta It doesn't sound better once you've heard it 50,000 times!
@@QuizzFiestaget a friend. You'd be surprised- someone wants to say it. And the listeners would much prefer it. For example, if seeing a classic car video, it's really awful to hear about Ford's F-"one hundred fifty". Or of things done in the "nineteen seventy 's' ". Just get a narrator. That's for you and every other producer.... thanks for posting though
@@QuizzFiesta I loved the AI, but I only got 2 out of the 50. Really, it didn't mess it up and I've heard worse AI voices.
I jest. I got 100% of the ones I've seen.
My gosh what great years for movies. Nice variety. Those days are gone I'm afraid.
Absolutely, those were truly iconic years for films! Glad you enjoyed the variety-it's hard to match the magic of that era. Thanks for watching!
The overall quality is stunningly better than the superhero crap now.
Funny how many of the movies I couldnt name that I could do dialog from
Acting, directing, story telling was top notch back then. Makes modern movies look like Saturday morning cartoons.
They are, only live action
Quizz Fiesta: nicely done!!! Love the info after each clip!!!!❤
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the extra info after each clip-adds a little something to the fun! Appreciate you watching!
That AI voice is so annoying. And the clips are too long.
👏👏👏👏I’m so pleased and impressed. * could you possibly add “ starring…. “ to the info blurb at the end of each clip? Otherwise= PERFECT!🎉❤
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Great suggestion-adding 'starring...' to the info blurb would definitely be a nice touch. I'll keep that in mind for future videos!
43/50. Only missed one ("Longest Day") out of the first 35...but then it was all downhill.
43/50 is an awesome score! Starting strong with only one miss out of the first 35 is impressive. Those last few can definitely be tricky-great job!
47 out of fifty. Makes me realise how much of my youth was spent in cinemas
47 out of 50 is an incredible score! It sounds like your time spent in cinemas really paid off. Those memories and classic films clearly left a lasting impression!
I felt pretty good when I named the first 4 movies correctly, but I only finished 20 out of 50. I still have a lot to learn about movies.
Me too! I got the first 3. 22 total.
Getting the first 4 right is a great start! 20 out of 50 is still solid-there's always more to learn about these classic films. Glad you enjoyed the challenge!
I missed 2. One eyed jack and revulsion. Never even heard of them. Mind you I review films for an international film board so I see a lot of movies.
What happened to 1963’s 55 Days at Peking and 1964’s The Night of the Iguana?
Surprised, yet pleased to see "Fanny" on the list. One of my favorite movies.
got most but I'm not keeping score I remembered just about all but couldn't get some of the titles fast enough
Ugh... only 30/50. Thought I'd do better than that.
Great movies. And a very irritating computer voice.
Too bad that there is not a program like this for the "B" movies!
what happened to the 12 John wayne films NOT on this list. Donovan's reef, Wagon Train, North to Alaska, Hatari, McClintock, the Comancheros, How the west was won, circus world, in harms way, even the Greatest Story ever told, and the Sons of Katie Elder
Great point! John Wayne had so many classics during that time. I couldn’t fit them all in, but those films are definitely worthy of their own list. Thanks for the reminder, and maybe I'll do a Wayne-themed edition in the future!
45 correct - lots of time spent at the movies over the years -
40: but a lot of spoilers.
40 is a great score! Sorry about the spoilers-sometimes it's hard to avoid with these classics. Glad you still enjoyed it!
Only got 22. Most I haven’t seen but was somehow familiar enough to guess. The rest, a few looked unfamiliar. Lots of familiar faces and LOTS going on my list of must-see! Thanks for this. It was fun. 💛 btw: I was 7 in 1960. Small town, no theatre. I think I did well, considering!
22 is a solid score, especially for not having seen many of them! Glad you found some new must-sees-lots of classics worth checking out. And considering the circumstances, you did great! Thanks for playing along and sharing your story!
Typically for this kind of video they showed the 1935 poster with the 1962 film of Mutiny on the Bounty. Sloppy.
Thanks for pointing that out! Definitely an oversight-I'll aim for more accuracy in the future. Appreciate your attention to detail and for watching!
42/50. Born in 65, so I didn't see any of these in their initial theatrical release.
But, early ''60's is my favorite sub-decade for movies, so I expected to get most of them (missed a few of the Westerns and British flics).
42/50 is a fantastic score! It's impressive how well you did even without catching these films in their initial release. The early '60s really did have some gems, especially if you're into Westerns and British flicks. Glad you enjoyed the challenge!
One thing that would be really cool is to live in a city with a theater that shows the old movies on a regular basis.
Alas, I live far from any such city. There are, only two movie theaters at all within 50 miles of me and they only show new releases.
@ej2953
Agree. One of my favorite things to do is to see one of my favorite classic movies in a theatre on a big screen.
At 1:35 there is Darren Stevens sitting at the desk
45 here. I've never seen Fanny or the Great Race. Repulsion I didn't recognize the scene. Two others I couldn't bring up in time.
45 is an awesome score! Fanny and The Great Race can be tricky ones, and Repulsion has some tough scenes to place. You definitely know your classics-well done!
What kind of list is this that doesn’t have The Sound of Music? A nothing movie like Repulsion gets mentioned but not The Sound of Music?
I appreciate your feedback regarding the absence of "The Sound of Music" in the "Guess 50 Movies by Scene from year 1960-1965" video, but I have included "The Sound of Music" in another video, "Guess 50 Movies by Scene from year 1965-1970." I hope you'll enjoy that video and have a chance to test your knowledge of these iconic films.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos!
THEY WERE ALL MOVIES WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER. I COULDN'T REMEMBER ALL OF EM. I GOT HALF OF THEM RIGHT............
Getting half of them right is a great effort, especially with so many memories to sift through! Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
For the scene from "a Fist Full of Dollars," I guessed the sequel "For a Few Dollars More" 😢
That was a fatal mistake that cost you one point!
40/50 - Some I had never seen. One I recognized, but could not recall the name.
40/50 is a great score! It’s always tough when you recognize a scene but can’t quite place the name. Thanks for playing😅
The years mentioned are the years the movies were made, most of them were in cinema the following year.
Good catch! You're absolutely right-release dates and when movies hit theaters can sometimes differ. Thanks for pointing that out!
39/50 I got tired 😫
Trip down memory lane. Got all but seven.
Glad it brought back some great memories! Getting all but seven is a fantastic score-those classics really stick with you. Thanks for playing along!
49 out of 50. Raisin in the Sun stumped me
49 out of 50 is incredible! Raisin in the Sun is definitely a tricky one. Great job-you really know your movies!
@@QuizzFiesta Thanks. Movies are my passion
46
I got 57 correct. Call me Donald.
Hehehe!
I didn’t do too badly when you consider that during that period I was in my very early teens and would not go to see a “soppy girl’s” film, or would not be allowed in to see a restricted film. Unless, of course, it had been shown on TV since. Some, I must admit, I’ve never heard of?
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's impressive that you did so well considering the circumstances. Some of these films are definitely more obscure or might not have been as accessible back then. It's interesting how our tastes and viewing opportunities evolve over time. Glad you enjoyed the challenge!
I 38 when I saw titles remember about them but never saw them its amazing how good movies that were made in 5 years span you'll never see that many in that time frame nowadays this was fun thanks.
38 is a solid score! It’s incredible how many great movies were packed into that 5-year span-definitely a different era for filmmaking. Glad you had fun with the quiz, and thanks for playing along!
This was my era, so I got all but three, ones I never saw, the rest of which I saw during their original release. The biggest surprise of your picks is Repulsion. Brilliant, horrific film but likely to have gone under the radar of most viewers. And you include The Servant. Bravo! You'd have really baffled them if you'd included Accident.
Sounds like you really nailed it for your era! Repulsion and The Servant are definitely hidden gems that not everyone would recognize. Accident would’ve been a real curveball! Glad you enjoyed the picks-thanks for playing!
@@QuizzFiesta Both of those movies I stumbled across accidentally. Made my sister skip Camelot b/c I was a huge John Fowles fan and wanted to see The Collector. It was on a double bill with Repulsion and, since we'd already paid, we stayed for it. My sister has never forgiven me for that night!
I got 16 of them. I was ages 2 to 7 when these movies first came out.
Getting 16 right at that age is pretty impressive! Those movies must have really made an impact. Thanks for watching!
I remember about 90% of these but I only had part of the titles there's some I knew right off the bat.
90% is impressive! Some of these titles really do stick with you, and it's always fun when you can guess a few right off the bat. Thanks for playing
I got 9 wrong and seen 7 of them in the cinema
Not bad at all! Seeing 7 of those classics in the cinema must have been quite an experience.
41 and those I didn't get I hadn't seen.
41 is an impressive score! It's always tough when the ones you miss are movies you haven't seen. Thanks for playing -maybe you'll discover some new films to check out!
