Velma - The Scooby-Doo Non-Scooby-Doo Mindy Kaling HBO Max Series That United The World In Hate

Velma arrived on HBO Max and immediately alienated the majority of people who watched it.
So what is so wrong about Velma? What is right about it is probably a better question.
Let's take a look at why Mindy Kaling's Scooby-Doo show for adults that doesn't include Scooby-Doo and thinks that adult comedy revolves around shower scenes and blood, as well as being nasty to everyone, including those watching.
As the worst-rated series ever on IMdB and holding a 6% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Velma is pretty much as low as it gets...unless they go ahead with a second season.

What went wrong with Velma? I think it'd be easier to cover what didn't go wrong... but in short, a show was made without the key character of the franchise, the other characters were horrible facsimiles of their perspective characters particularly the title character which comes across as Mindy Kaling cosplaying as Velma, there is open hostility towards the original audience, men, white people, guidance counselors, attractive people, ugly people, gay people. straight people, popular people, and about as much in common with the original series as a Smartphone has in common with a Tree Stump.
