From song, dance, concept and what they said is controlled by their agencies. Only few of them can make and perform they own ART
But we should respect them as they are whether they are an idol, performer or artists. They worked hard for it and they definitely do have talent in many ways.
Tony-nim is soooo true, media always starts fanwar and some immature ones fall for it and continues creating fanwar, comparing groups...
I’m mad they didn’t showcase Shinhwa. They’re the BSB of Kpop in terms of longevity. They stayed together through thick and thin.
This segmen is about the 1st. 1st boy idol group, 1st girl idol group, 1st rivalary of idol groups, 1st hip hop idol group and 1st RnB idol group. Shinwa is the 2nd SM's boy group after H.O.T
How I really wish, 4th gen fans (at the very least) are able to watch these series. Like, if you know what I mean.
Mmm
Interesting 😍 actually I just got to know kpop last year, and I feel very grateful to be able to know more about the roots of kpop itself
i really love the look of the female idols of that time, its just so pretty how they didn’t need to look pale, the makeup and hair style too
H.O.T.'s Candy was such a jam.
It was interesting seeing the roots of idol culture in this episode in particular, like the fandoms with different balloons, the reality tv to show the "real side" of idols, etc.
Yes YG has it's own IDENTITY and that's what I love about them
LOOOOOL
"from our perspective, we were leading this culture together" If only fans today saw it that way.
Danny and Dara!! 💕 it's really nice seeing Danny again 😊
Thank you for this Documentary Videos.
if I’m being honest I don’t think there will ever be anything as legendary as like the first gen idol groups
I am getting CHILLLLSSSSSS watching this. I'm writing a research paper on how KPOP has revolutionized fan engagement and this is a gold mine of information
I'm waiting for reunion of H.O.T!
they already did Infinite Challenge: Lunar Episode back in 2019
@@ocdguyhere3465 i was watching that^^ it's so awesome
They are already held concert twice after reunion. 2018 in Jamsil Olympic stadium and 2019 in baseball stadium. Too bad we have covid19 since 2020... You can watch the fancam videos of their concert. That was really awesome!
As a Blockhead and a K-popper, this was mind-blowing!
the fact that SM incorporated the idea of NKOTB in HOT was a pleasant surprise for me
these days I really want to born earlier and bein another one of white angels who support H.O.T with my craziness. its hurt for me how I stan them since last year:(
Never too late to stan them.
this is really interesting and well made^^
I started listening to kpop about two years ago
The one who easily put another company to make big 4 or something really needs to understand these KPOP culture first
It's really this deep, deeper than newbies comprehension level.
It’s nice seeing everyone in here. I miss Amber after seeing her.
1TYM's 1TYM will forever be my favorite 1TYM song 😍
I love 1TYM!!
when YG came, I said to myself " oh my gaaddd, Its starting" VIP stand here hehehe
24:10 Lee Sooman really need to take another photoshoot
Yes lmaoo😂😂
lmao hahahaha
All the KPOP fans should watch this episode!
Ok but can we talk about HOW KANGTA LOOKS SO YOUNG.
The fact that NRG is never mentioned as one of the groups who help start off the first generation of K-Pop makes me so upset. They deserve more recognition
Sorry about it 😭😭😔
Very true, the rivalry is always made by the media or the fans, the artists all get along very well and coexist because they are related in their work environment
Dude, YG brought hiphop in the forefront of Korean pop music. 1TYM is so legendary-Teddy is still making music for YG groups until now. I remember falling in love with Kpop because of YG artists; theyre so different from other idols.
What song you like?
A similar phenomenon existed in the USA (Detroit) in the 1960s with Motown. They produced The Temptations, Four Tops, Supremes, The Miracles, and many more using a similar formula of high production, choreography, image and marketing.
I love this documentary
Oh my goshhh finally!!! This is what Premium is all about people!!! We want more, RUclips!
It’s interesting how Kpop started and where it’s progressed to. One thing has stayed the same Teddy making fire beats.
I'm proud that I'm a fan of H.O.T. until now !
AND THIS IS WHY YOU ALL SHOULD ACCEPT THE FACT THAT SM ENTERTAINMENT PAVED THE WAY
Loser
I know S.E.S and G O D I watched Arirang from cable channel in the Philippines, I must be really old.
I've laughed so much when i watch the fanwar between h.o.t and sechskies 😂😂😂, it looks cute
Just had to get the Premium to watch this. And just wow, what an amazing feeling to watch it adfree .
How the heck can HOT still look hot and fresh? Wow!
I melted when I saw Kangta. So many great memories.
all this time i didn't care about youtube originals because nothing interests me but now, finally!!! this is like taking a history class and im just happy to see 1st gen get the recognition they deserved, although it woudl've been nice if they interviewed one of the remaining members of sechskies but that's aright, i saw kangta im contented
the true meaning of kpop really got lost lately and it’s terrifying to see the extremes people go to for their “idols” there’s a difference between being a stan and going overboard and that line is slowly blurring together
Crazy fans must have existed since the 1st generation era too but they have more limited ways to reach the idols.. Sadly it's easier now for sasaeng or hater to terrorize public figures.
@@madi-eu3hv exactly! like the incidents of saesangs sneaking cameras into several idol’s bathrooms or hotels, women walking near them without clothes and the overall invasiveness is horrifying.
