A Fundamental Flaw of Deconstruction

  • While these deconstructionists accurately describe deconstruction, they highlight one of the fundamental flaws in the process. Deconstruction has no right way to do it and no right destination. This assumes there is no objective truth when it comes to religious beliefs.
However, Jesus disagrees. In his famous Sermon on the Mount, He says, “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matt. 7:13-14).
First, notice Jesus mentions two ways. There is a narrow way and a broad way, a right way and a wrong way. Second, notice Jesus mentions two destinations. The right way leads to a good destination: life. The wrong way leads to a bad destination: Jesus calls it destruction. According to Jesus, there is absolutely a right place to land, and Jesus tells us how to get there.

    • @Ryvaken
      @Ryvaken 7 месяцев назад +2

A sentiment I struggle with, since God made it pretty clear that having a king would do Israel few favors. I mean, "right in his own eyes" is a dangerous sentiment, and it always came after a record of something nasty going on, so having a king was supposed to be better than that? Then Saul went a little nuts, David went less nuts, Solomon had a small country's worth of foreign concubines, and his sons broke Israel's spine.

    • @AndrewJohnH
      @AndrewJohnH 7 месяцев назад +4

In 1 Samuel 8:7, God tells Samuel the people have rejected Him as their king, and so they have cried out to be given a king. Maybe this will help with understanding that sentiment. When Israel remembered that God was their king, they would do as He saw fit. When they forgot Him as their king, they would do as they saw fit. When they cried out for an earthly king, they had to do as the earthly king saw fit. This was more ordered than everyone for themselves, but not often better, because the king was a flawed human being as well. David, as a man after God's own heart, came the closest, most of the time, but still failed spectacularly at times.

She has done an amazing amount of good work in this book, strictly adhering to Biblical truth throughout, and going back in church history to the early fathers to show that they believed the Scriptures completely. She also analyzes the progressive "gospel:" Jesus + social justice, Jesus + special knowledge, and Jesus - judgement. She emphasizes that this is nothing new, it appeared in slightly different form even during the lives of the apostles, and has been around in some form ever since. She also has co-authored a new book on deconstruction coming out January 24.

Deconstruction and turning away from Judeo-Christian teachings are only a part of it.
The falling away of the Church is a lot more sinister than just that. I apologize in advance, but I will have to leave a couple of fairly long posts to provide the scriptural support showing you what I am talking about. What I mean is, I like to use two or three passages supporting each other rather than cherry pick one verse or passage and build a thesis/conclusion from it.
      Galatians 5:4-6
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; *ye are fallen from grace.* 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
      Hebrews 6:4-6
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 *If they shall fall away,* to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
      Hebrews 12:14-17
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently *lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;*
16 *Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.*
17 For ye know how that afterward, *when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.*
      Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, *Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?*
23 *And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.*
      Hebrews 10:28-31
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 *Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?*
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
      Titus 1:10-16
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: (Unbelieving Torah Jews)
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
      13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 *Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.* (Babylonian Talmud)
15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 *They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.*
      Matthew 24:4-13
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
-To date, there have been 266 Popes who have come in Christ’s name, calling themselves the “Vicar of Christ”, Potentate (Sovereign) over the Church. As Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:15-16, Jesus is the ONLY Potentate.
According to the Vatican, there are 1.2 billion Catholics in the world today. That is a lot of people being deceived by the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation (ethnos: race) shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 *And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.*
11 *And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.*
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Due to the increase of iniquity/sin promoted by Liberals, Conservatives will begin to hate them and seek their destruction by the hands of men. There will be no mercy or forgiveness. Those who show no mercy will be given no mercy themselves.
      Matthew 24:24
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
-Christians are the elect of God, chosen before the foundation of the world to be conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ through faith in Him.
      2 Corinthians 11:14-15
14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
When a person is truly saved by placing their faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit writes God's moral standards/requirements on your heart and mind. Preaching Liberalism and deconstructionism is not the way to deceive the elect, if possible. The way you would do that is by appearing as though you follow God's moral laws and requirements. Remember what Jesus said to the Pharisees? "Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father you do." Yet those were the very people who thought they were serving God.
      John 16:1-3
1 These things have I spoken unto you, *that ye should not be offended.* (To be offended is to turn away from the Gospel, losing faith in Jesus.)
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: *yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.*
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
      2 Peter 2:1-3
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, *who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them,* and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 *And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.*
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
The falling away of the Church will be completed when faith in Christ is replaced by a return to Laws derived from the Talmud called the Seven Laws of Noah.
The falling away will be led by the harlot of Revelation 17-18, the Roman Catholic Church, with the (next) Pope denying the Deity of Jesus Christ and calling anyone who worships Jesus as God a blasphemer and idolator worthy of death (by guill-tine).
Many, like Esau, will give up their inheritance to save their life for a short period of time by denying Christ, forfeiting their salvation. Others, having become bitter towards Liberals and the promotion of immorality, will begin to hate them and see them as a blight on humanity which must be eradicated. They will be deceived into thinking they are doing the will of God while their actions prove they are reprobates concerning the faith.
With promises of wealth and prosperity if we follow these laws, it is not going to be hard to gain followers in a society where the acquisition of wealth (and all it brings with it) is the driving force of many people's lives. Add to that the Government giving privileges to those who turn in their friends, relatives and neighbors who will not deny Deity of Christ and you have someone who is willing to gain the whole world and lose their soul.

      Luke 12:42-46
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 *But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;*
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
      2 Peter 3:3-7
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, *Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.*
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Supposedly there are 7 “mountains” of global society-Arts and Entertainment, Education, Economy, Family, Government and Military, Media and Religion. (Note: The US voting machines are called “Dominion”.) According to this false teaching, by conquering these 7 “mountains”, the Kingdom of God will be established.
The Roman Catholic Church, and those who align themselves with it, believe it is up to them to create the kingdom of God on earth. They are the people being spoken of in the two passages above. They have willingly forgotten about the flood and God's judgement on the earth, thinking Jesus is taking too long to judge the earth and that it's up to them to take the kingdom of heaven by force.

The Roman Catholic Church owns more US property than any other entity.

All US Presidents Related to this One King? | SELECTED or ELECTED? | reallygraceful
In a post-American revolution society, it would seem like the divine rights of kings would be a distant memory, but is the reality really so? Do certain bloodlines still hold power within our current government system? And if all US presidents are somehow united in blood, does that mean our leaders are really elected by the people? Or does that mean they’re selected by few?
All of the US’s “elected” Presidents have been related to King John of England, descendant of Charlemagne. Only Gerald Ford, who was not “elected” into the Presidency, was not related to King John and Charlemagne. Charlemagne was crowned “Holy Roman Emperor” by Pope Leo III. Queen Elizabeth in the UK was (and King Charles is) also descended from Charlemagne.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, *and he shall subdue three kings.*
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
---Mystery, Babylon the Great is three parts/kings. Rome, United States, United Kingdom.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

      Revelation 17:5-6
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
      Revelation 17:16-18
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
---The city spoken of here is Rome, which reigned over the kings of the earth when John received the vision. The RCC is the spiritual whore who has added paganism, unbiblical doctrines, rituals and rules of men to the Gospel and will soon enough deny the Lord who bought her.

The following is a partial listing of the No0hide Laws as derived from the Babylonian Talmud. *Three of these Laws require the death penalty by beheading/guillotine when broken: Blasphemy, Idolatry and Sexual Immorality.* (Note: Unlike in the Old and New Testament teaching “By the mouth of two or more witnesses..”, these Laws only require one accuser for the accused to be brought to the courts and condemned.)
      Idolatry:
      Must worship God alone.
*Must not worship any man (ie: Jesus) as God.*
No idols or statues. Do not bow to idols or statues. Do not offer sacrifices to idols or statues.
      Blasphemy:
      Do not curse God.
Do not use God's name in vain.

And how many of these corporations are known to overwork and underpay their workers, reaping huge profits for themselves as they commit wage theft?

      *Homosexuality*
Barack Obama was “controlled opposition”, a descendant of King John and Charlemagne. The homosexuals have been promised increased rights and privileges, tolerance and inclusion, thinking they are being “normalized” in our society. They have been manipulated into exposing themselves publicly for elimination. The Government now has marriage records, phone and text records (Patriot Act) and online records (Earn It bill) which will be used against them.

Do not eat flesh of animal torn apart by a wild animal

Favoritism -Although called the “Equal Opportunity Act”, what we have seen are people being hired or promoted not for their talents, skills and education, but based on the color of their skin, gender and sexual orientation (even if they are not qualified for the job or promotion), otherwise known as “intersectionality”. Is this “equality”, or favoritism?

I think I’ve had a different interpretation of deconstruction. The way I’ve always thought about it was just the process of breaking down one’s faith to examine the parts to remove the false things one believed and grow stronger in the truth. This is what I did several years ago when I felt like I was convicted on some of the things I had always believed, and I even still do to this day on a smaller scale.
But I guess I should change what I’m calling that if the world is using the term deconstruction in a way that just means to break down your faith until you’re happy. I don’t want to lead people astray because of a misunderstanding.

    • @benjaminwatt2436

I think that is how most evangelicals think of deconstruction. They think of it like a healthy inpection of one's faith. All of us Christians have done that. however, most people who use the term are not thinking of it like that. it is a falling away from truth. it better fits the definition of back slidding. Poeple who are deconstructing usually deny any truth that is inconvinient, uncomfortable or difficult and that is the kind of deconstruction we as true beleivers have to stand against

The problem with deconstruction of faith is that man is inherently religious. He will always worship something. It doesn't matter if it's religion, sports, celebrities, money, whatever... man will always find something beyond themselves to glorify and worship, almost as if they were made for such a task. That is the undercurrent if the whole issue. People who try to "deconstruct" it are just proving this point over and over as the purpose to deconstruct something is to ultimately break it down from what it was originally. They just end up going back to worshiping something else, so the cycle never ends.
I guess there can't be a "definite end goal" when you are just moving onto the next phase of the cycle.

@colinmatts Because while on surface level, it advocates for avoiding harm to others, it also doesn’t advocate for helping others either. Nor does it give any incentive to. It also isn’t in the law to be a Good Samaritan, so as long as you don’t commit mass murder or rape or mass theft or any other socially heinous acts that could lead to jail time, you can do as you please. If someone is in a harmful situation but you aren’t the direct cause of that harm then it’s purely based on whether you feel like you have to help them or not or if it’s convenient to you or not.
If I was a millionaire but decided to purely use that money for my own interests and never did anything altruistic with it at all, well as long as I’m happy and I’m not directly hurting individuals with my money then I can buy as many Lamborghinis as I want and pass by the soup kitchens along the way.

I was just highlighting its side effects because it’s intentionally so vague and its bar for morality (good and bad) is in hell. Everything is just tied down to individualism. My Lamborghini and soup kitchen example was an example how people can find reasons not be altruistic and help the less fortunate around them if they either aren’t willing to do so or if aiding those in their community doesn’t fit into their subjective definition of being a “good” person cause at least they aren’t (insert cultural taboo or crime here) or were directly involved.

      @colinmatts
A broken-down car, huh? That's not been my experience. Serving and following Christ has been the most amazing journey ever. It's been one of the most challenging and difficult things I've ever done, but it's certainly been a liberating one. I suppose there are two types of liberation; one of the flesh and one of the spirit. The first part of my life was liberating the flesh and I burned hot and bright for awhile, like cardboard when it's lit, but gratefully I burned out soon and realized I needed a better fuel source. Living for Christ by the Holy Spirit is the second type of liberation, it burns just as hot and bright, but it is an eternal flame that will never go out. I don't know what god you were serving, but it couldn't have been the living God of Christ, because He's fire! LOL
Here lately I've been going through some trials. I had to leave the church I was a part of for 7 years and my wife and I are crushed and sort of disillusioned by the whole mess and also I've been dealing with a lot of temptations and it's been rough, just rough. So today as I was at a dentist appointment and the nurse walked in. I immediately was impressed by her cheerful nature and laughter but I kept sensing something was off, after talking with her for awhile I could sense that her laughter and cheerful nature was a front to mask her true feelings. Hidden underneath the laughter was anxiety and sadness. Immediately my chest began to burn and I could feel the Lord by His Holy Spirit convict me to say something to her, and I struggled for awhile because I'm such a shy coward sometimes and I finally decided to just say something! So right before I left I said can I say something to you? And she said sure! I so I proceeded to tell her my testimony of how Jesus has changed my life and how He loves her and wants her to know He's watching her and really wants to help her with her struggles and she began to tear up and told me, you have no idea how hard my life has been here recently and I then proceeded to give her some bible verses I believed would help her. After I had left and got alone in my car I began to notice my troubles and trials had just faded away. In that moment I understood once again what my purpose was in life. And thats to bring hope to people who are constantly being beat down by this life and its many troubles. And I fully believe Jesus Christ and His Salvation is the greatest hope we can ever have. ❤️
So, I don't know man. I'm far from perfect, and I'm the first to say it, but I know Jesus is the greatest thing I have, and I just want to share that with the whole world, and you my friend need Him too. We all do, and He is more than a necessity, he's a delight once yoy really discover his true nature. My prayers are with you friend.

The wrong way is to have only one or neither, and that'll cause you to most likely lose your faith.

I value language, so I think for words to mean anything, we need to use them properly, regardless of our personal feelings, and not twist them to our benefit.
    Deconstruction:
a method of critical analysis of philosophical and literary language which emphasizes the internal workings of language and conceptual systems, the relational quality of meaning, and the assumptions implicit in forms of expression.
In simpler terms, deconstructionists actually study internal meaning of everything written in the Bible as it had to have been originally intended. This is something every Christian is called to do by the Bible itself multiple times. That it often leads to Atheism is the failure of the Bible on its own merits, not because the person deconstructing “wants to sin and reject Jesus.” These people just want to properly understand their Bible and the actual merit and truth of their beliefs. Asserting anything else is straight up false, and frankly dishonest.

Rather it's what those that are deconstructing are convinced is true. Obviously if you hold a belief you are convinced that is the correct one, or the one the most corresponds to reality. So it follows the same train if thought with those deconstructing. Sure I fully acknowledge there are objective truths, but there are relative and subject truths as well i.e. person X believes that proposition Y is true.
So it's just erroneous to say that it's not about seeking objective truth.
