My aunt on my mother's side had a house in Wildwood Crest. I remember going there as it was an older home, and there were enough relatives there to start a B&B.
In the 1970s there was a bar named Dots Spot. It used to flood alot in this area.
Didn't know about Dots Spot. There was a bar called Donovans Reef years ago, can say I went but it was gone I'm guessing around 2005 or so. The Westside Tavern is still there last I checked.
I remember carrying my sister piggyback around the beach there in our swimsuits. It was fun!

Amazing, the basketball court next to the police station hasn't changed since 1986... lived right around the corner 1 summer... finally went into the triangle brick bar a few years back... great memories back there
I've only driven through West Wildwood once or twice but found this incredibly interesting and makes me want to explore it more. I'm not a fan of how over developed the Wildwoods are becoming. Too many condos, and the hotels that are gone make it loose its charm and style. Pretty soon I won't be able to afford vacationing there. Definitely can't afford living there.

Captain you should check out Brigantine New Jersey. You can take your dog on the beach and drive on the beach in Brigantine,also it’s only 10 min drive to Atlantic City.
WE use to go crabbing on the docks there across from the Acme. I never knew that little island had a name .
My friends grand parents bought a small house in Ocean City NJ for $35K a long long time ago and the family sold the property with the same small house on it for $1.2 million two years ago. It’s insane

I loooooved these Wildwood videos. I only drove thru West WIldwood once with some friends and I yelled out the window, "HOW DO I GET BACK TO THE MAIN LAND?!!?" I have a lot of fond memories of The Wildwoods! Go Phillies! P.S. you should visit Central NY. I know, "NY..BARF!" but there's some nice spots up here!
