We just buried my Grandpa today in North Carolina. This song speaks exactly to what we are going through. He had a farm of a few hundred acres. They came for him to sell for subdivision. My Grandpa didn't sell to them and eventually sold to another farmer when he could no longer tend the fields. Our old hunting dog, Hershey (chocolate lab), was buried under an old pine tree in the back yard. He was not just a hunting dog, but a long time companion who was ready for anything. The last time I saw Hershey we were on an old 18' skiff gigging for flounder in some of the inlets in NC. I used to ride the John Deere around my Grandpa's fields. He and I would practice shooting skeet for duck hunting season. This song brings me to tears, but for good reason. I like how it beings me back down to Earth and helps me slow down and remember what is truly important in life. Thank you Cody. I needed this.
Going through the same thing myself buddy. My grandpa started our farm and it's nothing like it used to be, hard to make a living and we keep getting offers but we're determined to keep it in the family
The first time I heard this, the tears wouldn't stop. Those raised out in the country know what I am talking about. Made me think of all those that live the farmer/rancher life and how hard it is....but also, its so rewarding.
They have ruined it for us in central Florida....theyve torn it all down for section housing.....use to have 2 lanes now there's 4....they've built apartments where we use to seek into groves....they've built hotels where we road dirt bikes... It's all gone
I grew up in the country, 10 acres to be exact and a backyard neighbor that let us run wild on his 20. I want that for my kids so much, but that type of land doesn't exist anymore. Everything has been turned into shopping malls and subdivisions now.
Sellouts my brother. For the almighty dollar. What the entire Yellowstone show is based on. American men and their families fighting for land that God entrusted to them, for generations.
The government needs to stop forcing them to, along with taxes even after one is done with their mortgage. These are some of the reasons why people are having to sell their land
"And over there under that white oak tree, beneath the cross is where my best buddy's buried" I lost it💔😭. Said goodbye to my 17 year old hound dog last summer couple weeks after my birthday.
"Keep your money cause a man can't leave his dog." I couldn't keep it together when I heard this either. I have a working dog, a yellow lab mix, does SAR for the tech rescue team I'm with. He's turning 7 and I know I have plenty of good years left but I worry. He's saved my life twice. Once when I was out walking with him and had a medical issue where I lost consciousness. He barked and barked until a neighbor realized I was on the ground. And he really doesn't bark otherwise. Second time was weird, he refused to follow me during a storm. Just stopped and sat. I walked back over to him and seconds later a tree fell right where I was walking. I don't know how or why but it happened. He's the best dog I could ever want. Super friendly, playful, energetic. Goes fishing with me. Endlessly loyal. God bless him.
@huntermiller2810 Damn man. I lost my Blood hound that helped me track 10 bucks through the years two months ago and damn did it hit hard. Hope you’re doing good man best of luck.
I commented on the visualizer of this song awhile back. I drive a dirt road rural mail route and everytime this song comes on i get tears. Driving in the plains daily i see land being sold, it breaks my heart, i always wish a old homestead could tell a story!! I grew up on the outskirts of a city, started going to the country around 12ish i loved going there (aunt&uncles) just chill, ride horses go to fairs!! It got me through my teen years and my mother battling cancer. It instilled something in me i didnt understand untill later in life. This song does something!! Makes me wish my mans family wouldn't sell off some of the homestead land, makes me think about moving to a house with the kids that i thought would be there forever home where my daughter swung on that swing!! But divorce and ex's alacholism took it away, but brought me where i am now for the past 15 years. Im at home 54yrs old in rural America great plains!!! This song makes me think about the path life has taken me on to get here, (finally@home).
1st time I heard this song was at your show in Worcester, MA along side my Husband and Son. My 22 year old turned to me and said "now do you see why we can never leave"? I have no idea why I ever thought we could, no matter how bad NY State is. My husband had said something very similar before I heard this song when I mentioned wanting to move about all our animals buried on our property and how could he ever just leave them. My eyes are now fully open and I have to say, I will never mention selling our property ever again.

When I heard this I broke down in my truck I buried my dad the week of Christmas. I was the little girl who had brown hair and a pink bow but when I moved to Texas my dad sold the farm. I will always miss the memories of the farm so thanks Mr Johnson for this song cause you definitely can't buy that land for cheap
My condolences, may he rest in peace under our lords protection ♥️🕊️ As someone who was also the girl with brown hair and a pink bow the memories our homes make for us down here definitely ain’t dirt cheap. Lost my dad in 2012 he was only 55 sad thing about it is i spent the last few years of his life in prison and the last time i saw him was 2008. I'll never let that happen again.
One of the best songs out right now. Much like all of Cody's songs, this one finds a way to make you feel the same way as the people in the lyrics. Hell, I didn't want the man to sell his land either, haha. Can't say enough about this one.
@@mustangx2808 of all the world, we are all one people, if people could see past the differences, and see that we are all the same under all the color, tradition, language, none of that really matters, what matters is that we should all see each other as one race, the human race. We are all brothers and sisters in God, and no amount of differences can change that.
I heard this song for the first time today...don't know how hadn't heard it before. I was on my longarm sewing machine quilting a quilt and had to stop because I started to cry....It has been a long time since a song has affected me that way....such wonderful lyrics.
Just lost my beloved Doberman, Kona unexpectedly a few days ago. She was my everything. "Keep your money because a man can't leave his dog" hit me hard. No truer words have ever been spoken. Loved this song before I lost her and even got choked up at the thought of losing her. Now she's gone. Love you Kona!
My Johnson I am 41 years old and I have gone and am going through some of the toughest times of my life. The first words of this song brought down the strongest tears. Thank you ❤
@sarahrangel1962 Thanks for being a fan!! I just wanna appreciate you in particular for being a fan and you should keep supporting me! it brings me so much joy that I'm able to put a smile on your faces and hearts where are you supporting from?
This hits my spot. Raised on a farm bought my my grandfather's father. It was passed down to me to give to my son. Every word is exactly how I feel when I look at everything around me. Thank God 😊
My dad played this song for me. Tried my hardest to not let any tears fall. I just recently moved off the land to go to college and it cuts deep like a knife. I keep mourning being the little girl with a pink bow.
I'm a 4th generation farmer....we get letters constantly from all over trying to buy our land.... my 79 year old dad just laughs and throws em away. My dad ingrained in me... never sell this farm... keep it in the newlin name. And to this day... coming to the end of his season here.... someone will have to take this place from my cold dead hands.
The first verse about the dog hits me hard. I lost my girl a couple years ago. She lasted 13 hunting seasons as well. Now she’s buried under a pine overlooking the water that she retrieved many ducks out of.
Especially with an old hunting hound that you’ve spent countless hours and days and months and years with. Seeing all kind of sights and making memories together. Can’t beat that.
Lived on my husbands family land for nearly 40 years. I had the little girl with the pink bow. She lives across the road now ❤ I’ve always said I’ll die here. This song is everything ❤
This is such a beautiful song. We lost our sweet boy Reuben 2 years ago in November. He lived to be 11 years old. The best puppy boy ever, he was our son, our best friend, our booboo. Goodness it's not the same now since he's gone. He's buried in the backyard, flowers on his grave & his name. Momma & Daddy love you BooBoo ❤
I was once that little girl…the dirt between my toes was far more precious than the diamonds that the future gave. We stood back and watched that dirt get signed away when cancer took dad in just 26 days. Even as an adult watching it go, I saw and heard daddy saying “come on inside, it’s getting dark, sis. And you look tired”. That dirt filled several acres of land…we built our home with our own hands. Saying goodbye crushed our hearts…but not as much as losing him ripped our world apart I still have some of that dirt in a jar, a few rocks and some grass that has withered away. But the price for that jar is far greater than gold. And the memories we shared I will forever hold. Thanks, CoJo for keeping it real! For a reminder that hurt don’t always heal. To let ya know that money is nothing compared to a house built on dirt and filled with lovin’
I got a place like that , we have a swing on the porch where I watched my girl grow up . She is 21 now and says it will never be sold . The pond damn has her birthday engraved in it we did that when she was 10 and rebuilt the damn . We have a deer stand where we sat and she took her first deer a fine 10 point .Those was just some of the special days we enjoyed the past 21 years on this dirt .
Holy moly this is incredible. What a beautiful song. Oh my goodness thank you for sharing this with me. God bless you Cody and your family. 🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This hits hard. I had to leave my cat a week ago. We buried him in my blanket, and a tub of his favorite treats. He had massive stomach problems, but the vet couldn't find the problem. He had just collapsed. I cried so hard. Every time I had a bad day, I could go home and hug my cat. Now, when I have a bad day, I lay in bed and wish that I had never gotten angry that he spilled my drinks, or that he followed me to school. Now, I feel like I'm going crazy because he's not here. I literally bought thirteen more cats. In the span of a week. I definitely adore them. My friend even misses him. He was the best friend a girl could ask for. He really was the sweetest thing. Nothing has been the same he passed. I never thought I could feel like this over a cat. R.I.P. I've never related to a song so much. I hope God is taking care of my baby. 😭😭😭
Sorry for you. I’ve got two beautiful boy cats. 6 and 5 so hopefully a way to go yet. But I held my old dog as vet put her down so I know your pain. Not much worse.
I'm sorry for your loss..I still cry over my first baby girl. She was the best cat ever! I've also had a lot of other ones but I don't think there will ever be another one like her. I still miss her after all these years.
We are blessed to live on the land where my husband was born and raised. His best buddy is buried in the field, under the old plow…we can see it from the back porch. The land and animals God has given my 69 year old husband throughout his life and entrusted to his care will never be cheap. This song really hits home.😭❤️
Heard this song on the radio the other day and couldn't stop thinking about the family farm that I left, I pray nothing happens to it as it's only my dad and younger siblings left there, but if something does I will drop everything and do whatever I can to keep it in the family. This song just makes me think about that possibility
Such an awesome song. I cry every time i hear it. Reminds me of home. There is no amount of money worth the blessing that God has given to us. Really hits home.
I usually listen to Korn, metallica, slipknot, etc. Some of the heaviest stuff you can imagine. A friend recommended this song to me and even though I was skeptical, I listened to it. And I've been listening almost every day. I associate the song with a special someone. And, it brings back a lot of memories.
Metallica isn't that heavy. Probably a good thing you consider old-head thrash heavy. Had you been listening to slam or something of that variety, you'd have been too desensitized to listen to this kind of music.
He seems to get more than just a song. He is singing straight to your heart, mind and soul. Touching the emotional base of every person who loves his music.. Fantabulous !!
There's a RUclips video of Cody Johnson singing this song live and I'm thinking it was just as it was hitting big. This song is so great and hits people so hard, I think even he was taken aback in this video, the way people were reacting. He was almost getting blown off the stage, the reaction was so big, people singing back, etc. What an amazing song. It will go down in history for me.
Damn Counry Music! I say that with a huge smile and a tear. 🥲🥲 It always tugs at your heart. Our family owns 4 farms, 2 of which are century farms. We have not actively farmed in over 30 years. The farms are rented to two other local farmers. Selling to them has been a thought, but never to a developer. But then you come out with this song and I think I could never sell to even the people currently farming them. Farmland is so valuable because they are not making any more of it. All of our food comes from farms. Great song Cody! Update: Today June 8th I am at staining the deck at mom's, the farm where I grew up. This song came on the radio as I was standing out there looking over 80 acres of soybeans just beginning to emerge from the ground. Really made me think.
Cody Johnson normally doesn't miss when he performs a song, but he absolutely knocked this one out of the park. I'm farm raised and those who don't know what that's like are missing some of the most cherished moments from the quiet nights to the smell of fresh turned soil to cut hay.
I lost my mother last week. I lost my love in 2020. My daughter in 2016. Today I am remarried, and have three beautiful children. Life goes on, but it hurts like hell. I can't listen to this song without breaking down. This song sounds like I feel. Thank you.
What a beautiful song, brought tears to my eyes . I wish more farmers families that are left with these farms don't keep giving into these big buyers 😢
@jeanniesmith3705 Thanks for being my fans.. I appreciate all your efforts and support on my career, I really appreciate may God bless you abundantly in all your endeavors

About 5 years ago had people knock on my door. Real estate agent and a couple of suits that represented a Canadian investment firm. Offered me and my family 20 million dollars to walk away from our ranch. I’m the 4th generation. Told them to go f@&k themselves. This land is everything to me. Far too many memories with more still ahead. Can’t put a price on that.
@@stephanietest6754 so better for a generational family with memories, and sentiment to sell their farm to a real estate investor who is building a development because of the high prices and charge said high prices to make his profit to people who can’t afford homes? Prices aren’t high from land availability, it’s high due to construction costs and the short distribution of labor. Development halted completely during Covid and materials skyrocketed in price. We’ve been playing catchup ever since. That is the common sense of economics 🤦♂️
@@stephanietest6754 all that "common sense" and no sense of love, family and community. Also the "common sense" you are referring to isn't common in these areas. The people you are talking about own their home. It's been the same home on the farm for easily 50 years. Or its the home that they helped build by their own hands. Many of them have their entire families that end up living on that farm.
This song hit me so hard on so many levels. I will cry every single time I hear it because it reflects so much of my own life. 3 months ago I moved into the first house my parents bought 35 years ago and brought me home to from the hospital after I was born. I lived here for 22 years before I moved to go to college in another city. They bought 10 acres about 30 minutes outside the town limits next to a life long family friends land and I bought this house from them. I now have 2 daughters who are 2 & 5 years old. I now get to look out the window and see my little girl play in the same yard I did when I was her age, while she wears a pink bow in her brown hair. In the back yard underneath a dogwood tree our chocolate lab Dixie is buried in the shade beneath a piece of granite my wife made into her headstone, with her camo collar hanging above her from the lowest branch. For 13 years she blessed us with her personality and her love of being a duck dog. She would stand on the bow of our 14 foot jon boat as that 25hp johnson 2 stroke pushed us down the river to our favorite honey hole. That dog would go through fire and flame to fetch a duck, and I'm sure she's doing just that in heaven. One day I'll take ownership of my parents land, and by that time I pray that one of my children will be able to buy this house from me and raise their own children in it. The price I'll ask will be cheap, but only because the dirt it's on is priceless.
Just wanted to say, I lived a VERY similar life. Almost all the same. Except my dad still has the property but his house burned down last year. The home I grew up in so many years. He’s still making it, hasn’t been able to rebuild due to not having insurance. But just wanted to say, I lived the same life. Except I’ve got a 4 year old son and I’m watching him just like my dad did to us. Life keeps going 😭 someday it’ll repeat with our kids….
Great song Cody! the first time I listened to it on the radio it brought tears to my eyes. Later that day I played it for my wife and she got tears too. Incredible lyrics that tell a wonderful love story of a man’s heart and his land.
This was playing at the pizza place me and my husband were eating at last night, thought it sounded nice (couldn't hear it properly because of the atmosphere), I used my phone to look it up so I can properly listen to it later. Didn't expect to be moved and cry to this today
Wow, what a great song. I agree with every word. I believe that song affects each and every one of us in some way. Need more songs like this. Great job, Cody.
This song hits home for a lot of people for a lot of reasons. Especially if you’re a farmer living under the pressure of the government, being taxed to no end, being penalized for not having enough health insurance, trying to do anything and everything you can to keep your family farm exactly that, a family farm because you want to have something to leave for your kids. A place where you’ve watched them grow and have the time of their lives. I just keep reminding myself to hold on a little longer and who I’m doing this for 😊
I found my way to country a few months back and right now it changed my life. I live in Germany in the Country side, we ain’t got no farm but I can identify with this genre a lot. It’s one of the most beautiful and realest music I have ever listend to. This song right here gave me real tears. I must admit that once I read the lyrics I saw my Grandparents garden in front of my eyes. A place where I spent a lot of beautiful times, thanks for this beautiful memory you brought back through this song!
This song came on the radio(which I don't use often)and I was thinking of my dad who I lost a little over a year ago, and I'll be damned if I didn't start tearing up. I hadn't even heard this song before but it moved me so much. I can feel him in every word of this song. Rest in peace ol man!
We Need Country like this!!! Let's Go Cody Johnson!

This songs is such 2000s vibes of a song that tells a story and not just song about heartbreak or some pretty boy or girl.

I heard this song for the first time today...don't know how hadn't heard it before. I was on my longarm sewing machine quilting a quilt and had to stop because I started to cry....It has been a long time since a song has affected me that way....such wonderful lyrics.
Best on TOP 40 RADIO in a long time. There are some GOOD country singers on RUclips.

Thank you ❤
@sarahrangel1962
Thanks for being a fan!! I just wanna appreciate you in particular for being a fan and you should keep supporting me! it brings me so much joy that I'm able to put a smile on your faces and hearts where are you supporting from?
Blessings for you ❤

Man, this song breaks my heart and builds it back up again!
And to this day... coming to the end of his season here.... someone will have to take this place from my cold dead hands.
amen same here
Some things are worth more then money!!!
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice to meet you here.
@@Realcodyjohnson love your music wish you could do a music video on our farm !
Guess that would be a great content though. I can tell that you’re astounded to get a reply from me on here, right?
Literally one of the best lyrical creations from a country artist in years! We are blessed to be part of your journey Cody!

Hello America, COUNTRY MUSIC Isn't DEAD! -- Thank you Mr. Johnson.
I like that this is not knew country music ❤❤❤❤ I like old country! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Like this! 😊❤
The first verse about the dog hits me hard. I lost my girl a couple years ago. She lasted 13 hunting seasons as well. Now she’s buried under a pine overlooking the water that she retrieved many ducks out of.
Oh that's sweet I'm sure she had the best 13 hunting seasons of her life RIP 🕊️♥️
Sorry for your lost she is still strong and hunting
Bless you both 💙❤🐾
Folks, this is America. Anyone reading these comments, we need to stick together!!!
I’m with you. God bless America 🛐
Yes we do. I agree right you. God Bless you
Amen 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Especially with an old hunting hound that you’ve spent countless hours and days and months and years with. Seeing all kind of sights and making memories together. Can’t beat that.
Yep! Stop living for the dollar!
Great story and song, man.
If I had the courage to try singing I'd want to be able to sing this.
Go for it! Sing it for yourself and you can do it!
Lived on my husbands family land for nearly 40 years. I had the little girl with the pink bow. She lives across the road now ❤ I’ve always said I’ll die here. This song is everything ❤
Yall farmers hold the line merica needs yall more than you think God bless
Saying goodbye crushed our hearts…but not as much as losing him ripped our world apart
I still have some of that dirt in a jar, a few rocks and some grass that has withered away. But the price for that jar is far greater than gold. And the memories we shared I will forever hold.
Thanks, CoJo for keeping it real! For a reminder that hurt don’t always heal. To let ya know that money is nothing compared to a house built on dirt and filled with lovin’
it's nice to know there's still some things that ain't for sale. You can't put a price on memories! Great song!
why does this song make me bawl my eyes out?
This is true country music ! A song with story to tell is what I grew up on ! 👏 way to go Cody !
Love it!
Don't ever let go of it.
Thanks Cody you've done it again.
Holy moly this is incredible. What a beautiful song. Oh my goodness thank you for sharing this with me. God bless you Cody and your family. 🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cody. Thank You for this Beautiful song. Just lost my Daddy it reminds me of my Daddy. I miss him so much.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today and how is the weather conditions over there? Thanks for your support and kindness towards me as a fan
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️🥺 I have 2 cats and I can’t see myself without them 💔
I'm sorry for your loss..I still cry over my first baby girl. She was the best cat ever! I've also had a lot of other ones but I don't think there will ever be another one like her. I still miss her after all these years.
he is a true western singer and cowboy. He's right up there with George and Chris.
And Merle.
Why because he sings a song written by someone else?
We are blessed to live on the land where my husband was born and raised. His best buddy is buried in the field, under the old plow…we can see it from the back porch. The land and animals God has given my 69 year old husband throughout his life and entrusted to his care will never be cheap. This song really hits home.😭❤️
Hello 👋 how are you doing today and how is the weather conditions over there? Thanks for your support and kindness towards me as a fan
Daughter sent this song to me today. I don't know how she knew I needed to hear it, but I bawled like a baby. Thank you for your voice Cody
Incredible song! The lyrics really hit home! Beautiful job! Thx Cody!
❤
Heard this song on the radio the other day and couldn't stop thinking about the family farm that I left, I pray nothing happens to it as it's only my dad and younger siblings left there, but if something does I will drop everything and do whatever I can to keep it in the family. This song just makes me think about that possibility
Such an awesome song. I cry every time i hear it. Reminds me of home. There is no amount of money worth the blessing that God has given to us. Really hits home.
Thanks y'all ❤
I usually listen to Korn, metallica, slipknot, etc. Some of the heaviest stuff you can imagine. A friend recommended this song to me and even though I was skeptical, I listened to it. And I've been listening almost every day. I associate the song with a special someone. And, it brings back a lot of memories.
Hello 👋 friend how are you doing today 😃 hope am not bothering you??
Metallica isn't that heavy. Probably a good thing you consider old-head thrash heavy. Had you been listening to slam or something of that variety, you'd have been too desensitized to listen to this kind of music.
I absolutely love this song, beautiful. Cody nails it, and his voice is perfect. Should be on the radio A LOT more.......
Cody, this is your best work yet. This song is an all American, hit the hearts hard kinda art. Bravo and thank you!

Beautiful ♥️
This song hits you deep in the heart!!
This is the best song I've heard in a while... brings tears to my eyes.. very relatable thank you cody.

Your so right ❣️
Hello 👋 friend how are you doing today 😃 hope am not bothering you??
This Is One Beautiful Song ❤ Thank You Cody, For Singing This Song, Love It ❤❤❤❤
Gosh the first verse hits home, especially as someone who grew up in a town that’s quickly getting sold out to developers 😭
Update:
Today June 8th I am at staining the deck at mom's, the farm where I grew up.
🎉
One of the best songs written ever. This touches my soul so deep. The theory of "Buy Dirt" means so much to me. Dirt is memories, dirt is life!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today and how is the weather conditions over there? Thanks for your support and kindness towards me as a fan
Great song! Love your music!! Keep it up!❤

Hello 👋
I hope this message finds you well…I’m Aaron chace.i work with the military as press and editor for 20yrs I got my retirement on February.
I’m single and searching never been married before I have one daughter when I was in high school!
Actually I’m open to a new relationship that will eventually get us into marriage❤
I saw your picture and I was very much attracted to you!🌹
People these days have no sentiment. This song hits a nerve to any of us who have a sense of family and home. Dirt like that, isn’t just dirt.
People these days also can’t afford homes, all that sentiment you have but no common sense when it comes to the economics.
@@stephanietest6754 people with principles will outlive and outlast people who think economics is what matters you’re the one who lacks common sense
The price I'll ask will be cheap, but only because the dirt it's on is priceless.
thank you for sharing
Just wanted to say, I lived a VERY similar life. Almost all the same. Except my dad still has the property but his house burned down last year. The home I grew up in so many years. He’s still making it, hasn’t been able to rebuild due to not having insurance. But just wanted to say, I lived the same life. Except I’ve got a 4 year old son and I’m watching him just like my dad did to us. Life keeps going 😭 someday it’ll repeat with our kids….
This is the emotional Cody Johnson song by far. It has sentimental meaning to me.
Great song Cody! the first time I listened to it on the radio it brought tears to my eyes. Later that day I played it for my wife and she got tears too. Incredible lyrics that tell a wonderful love story of a man’s heart and his land.
Why am I crying so much?
I think it's because I have "dirt" that ain't cheap.
Thank you, God. ❤
This was playing at the pizza place me and my husband were eating at last night, thought it sounded nice (couldn't hear it properly because of the atmosphere), I used my phone to look it up so I can properly listen to it later. Didn't expect to be moved and cry to this today
just went to your concert in spokane and it was the best experience of my life. keep it going man.
This song made me cry
Wow This song stirred emotions hard! Tissue please!
I love this song so much, but I can’t listen to it without crying. My dog recently passed away and that part makes me ball every time.
Omg I LOVE this song and yeah❤❤
Thanks y'all for the support and encouragement, 👍❤❤
Love this song it hits your heart big time thanks
Real country right there!!
Wow, what a great song. I agree with every word. I believe that song affects each and every one of us in some way. Need more songs like this. Great job, Cody.
This is a great song, words have a true meaning! Love Cody Johnson!
I just keep reminding myself to hold on a little longer and who I’m doing this for 😊
Listen to it seven times in a row. Can't stop crying
Same, had on repeat for 2 hours, just hits on a different level.
Dude I don’t even own land but when he starts talking about his daughter and his dog it’s a straight waterfall 😭 this is the kind of country I love.
Now I'm not usually a fan of country music but this song brings a tear to my eye.
I just lost my fur baby a couple weeks ago. This song really got to me. I miss her everyday. She was with me for 12 years and a big part of my life.
Ohh am so sorry about that
God bless you Cody Johnson
I found my way to country a few months back and right now it changed my life. I live in Germany in the Country side, we ain’t got no farm but I can identify with this genre a lot. It’s one of the most beautiful and realest music I have ever listend to. This song right here gave me real tears. I must admit that once I read the lyrics I saw my Grandparents garden in front of my eyes. A place where I spent a lot of beautiful times, thanks for this beautiful memory you brought back through this song!
❤
My goodness this brought tears to my eyes ! This is real country
This song came on the radio(which I don't use often)and I was thinking of my dad who I lost a little over a year ago, and I'll be damned if I didn't start tearing up. I hadn't even heard this song before but it moved me so much. I can feel him in every word of this song. Rest in peace ol man!
