Having owned two Land Rovers and driven just about every other model including an off road trip 1200 meters up a Scottish hill in the snow in the new Defender I need to try and get my hands on that car as it looks amazing. Nearly as good as my E Pace!!!!

I know you’re a fan of RRS from your previous SVR videos. I’m very confused by the new RRS design path. The front bumper is bulbous and the vents look forced. The rear is generic and could be any brand. Does it look better in person?

This v8 is a bmw Engine… its the M engine of the past x5 m generation.

Great video of a great car. You want to look at Jeep Grand Cherokee. The equivalent Jeep Grand Cherokee Track Hawk came out in 2018 after being announced in 2017, but an updated version has yet to be released with the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe PHEV. They still have V8 and V6 petrol-only engines and I agree with Tony Gravelwood car sales who I saw you with in your Range Rover Sport SVR January 2020 running/ owning costs video: don’t buy a Hybrid (which unless you are prepared to charge all the time at home - although 75 miles pure EV on the JLR Range Rover is better than 25 miles on latest 4xe Jeep. If you don’t charge a PHEV you are dragging around a heavy electric motor and Lithium battery which negatively affects Reg dynamic performance and fuel economy.). Tony advised, on Seen Through Glass, who did a great Range Rover Sport video this year with you in the back of the latest 2022 model: Only buy an electric (or hybrid - although you aren’t at the mercy of the charging infrastructure with a Plug-in Hybrid) when you have to. it was reported in the Los Angeles Times on their Instagram recently that LA has outlawed production of new ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) cars from 2030: Although you can still use Ines build before this.
I think the new Range Rover Sport looks MEGA! I love it and the technology is insane, along with the practicality, usability, and the luxury is insane, the styling is so minimalistic and will age much better than previous models and the interior is so beautiful and it’s a lot better than some competitors, it even makes Audi’s interior look fussy and unorganised. The sound is great and the engine fits ALOT more in line with the current high performance SUV market, handling also seems great from what we can tell………that being said, I’m Australia, the new Sport in that spec in your video Archie is around $250,000. It does not make any sense at all for what it is! The depreciation will be disgusting for new Sport Owners, the performance is actually not impressive comparing it to a Macan GTS which is quicker and HALF THE BLOODY PRICE. My concern is also the reliability as Range Rovers just always never have had reliability behind their name. You could get a Cayenne Turbo and $50,000 AUD change and it does not make sense. No one buying a new Sport is taking it off road. No one and those who do may find it as the perfect car, but I would rather for the EXACT same price have a new G63 which will hold its value and has more road presence.
To support this, I have family friends in which one drives a 2019 Range Rover V8SC Autobiography, and a 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR. I’ve spoken to them as soon as this sport released and they both could not justify the price in comparison to the competition. The new X5M facelift will be a much better buy, and the SVR owner is already taking delivery of a new Cayenne Coupe GTS because there isn’t a justification for the new sport for that insane price and the Range Rover Velar SV just makes so much more sense, even a second hand Bentayga is cheaper than the new Sport which is quite frightening considering the badge your getting.
I love Range Rovers and I always will, but for that price! For a non SVR? No way! Here is a list of some of the competitors that are cheaper overall and you tell me if you would take them and a lump sum amount of money if you had to decide between them.
Audi RSQ8, Porsche Cayenne GTS, Mercedes AMG GLE63s, BMW X5/6M, Bentley Bentayga (second Hand), Porsche Macan GTS, Audi SQ7, BMW X7, Mercedes GLS63 AMG, Jaguar F Pace SVR, Audi RS6 Avant, Mercedes G63 AMG, ASTON MARTIN DBX.
I love love LOVE the new sport, but not for that price, I would spend that little bit extra and get a new Bentayga V8 if I was in the market for a $250,000 Range Rover SPORT, $250,000 for a non SVR, non flagship Range Rover seems like your getting robbed

Macan GTS is a smaller vehicle, that does not have much room in second row, and boot isn’t big.
It’s a V6, and quoted
0 - 100 km/h is 4.3 seconds.
The RR Sport is a much bigger and roomier vehicle.
The RR Sport in this video is a P530 V8, with a quoted
0 - 60 mph of 4.3 seconds !
An SVR will be more powerful, and quicker then a Macan GTS !

Unlike the Macan, and various other vehicles u mention, a RR is not a one trick pony.
A RR can do genuine off road driving if u so desire.
All the vehicles u mention have their pros & cons, but a RR, is a RR.
Everything else is wishing it had the class, prestige, capability and stunning presence that the new RR and RR Sport has.
A Macan GTS is about
$ 150 k on road, in Australia, plus options.
Easy to spend $ 25 k, or more on options etc.
Nice car, but no patch on a
RR Sport SVR.
U, and your friends who currently own RR, also make many assumptions, yet no new RR or RR Sport is in Australia yet !
Once u and your friends have inspected a new RR &
RR Sport, and driven it, I think u will be blown away at how amazing it is.
Both the new RR and RR Sport are a huge leap forward in so many ways, and have again, set the benchmark for other SUV.
LRA will be selling every RR and RR Sport they can get built for Australia for the next 2 years…

Resale value on these LR vehicles in Australia is very strong.
The equipment and spec level and price in Australia of all these vehicles is a lot more here, compared to Europe, for various reasons.
Our GST & LCT etc etc.
Absolutely NO point in mentioning price comparisons,because the equipment and spec level etc, of all these vehicles in Europe is different to Australia, and pricing in Europe is much lower v Australia.

@@StephenFogarty2023 Stephen your completely correct in the fact that Australian JLR vehicle options and specifications are different to the European market, that is why my local Melbourne Dealer quoted me for a new Range Rover Sport with the LCT, GST and popular options selected, “Roughly $268,990-$295,000. Speaking from experience, and knowledge, it’s rare to see a base spec V8 Range Rover. My comments I will stand by in saying aren’t presumptuous in the fact that Range Rovers reliability is extremely poor (no matter how much you love Range Rovers, you can’t disagree with me, Porsche will humiliate a Sport in reliability. This underpins why Range Rover’s resale values are not as great as their competitors. Furthermore, for that price the performance I stand by as disappointing. Land Rover claim officially the 0-100 of the V8TT Sport is 4.5 seconds. The X5M is 3.8, and is $20,000 cheaper, the GLE63S is 3.9. The Cayenne Turbo is 3.7. For the current high performance SUV market, it’s not what we should be expecting. But, you want to bring off roading into it and claim none of my suggestions are proper off-roading Luxury SUV’s (which is not the primary purpose of a TTV8 Range Rover Sport) which seems odd you forgot to consider the G63 AMG and you have to admit, when is a brand new 8 cylinder Range Rover EVER taken off Road regularly, I’ll completely admit i would suggest a Range Rover Sport if someone wanted a $250,000 luxury off roader and to do nothing more, but from car enthusiast to car enthusiast we both know they will be driving around Toorak or Brighton on the school run. But if someone wanted to properly off road, there are Rangers and Hilux’ for that. ONCE AGAIN STEPHEN REMEMBER I DONT HATE JLR OR THE NEW SPORT!!! I thought I made that crystal clear before but clearly not. The Macan GTS yes is smaller, but is still quicker despite your false claims, 0-100 in 4.1 seconds is just quicker than what Land Rover claim…nothing more I can say than look at performance videos. If size is what your concerned about then a Cayenne Turbo is in the same class and similar money. The benefits of a Cayenne I have already listed but once again, reliability, performance and class (even though you claim it doesn’t which is incorrect but hey, that is your opinion) I have no doubt they will sell every unit and for the next 2 years there will easily be a mark up on all Sports (further increasing the price and supporting the $300,000 price tag) that’s not my point, once again I never said it was a terrible car which is quite odd that your insinuating it, but as an automotive enthusiast, I expressed my view freely by stating #Facts. I do agree the new sport’s technology is miles ahead of the Cayenne or an X5M, but you have to admit they are not insanely far off and the facelifts of both models were spied in Stuttgart and they will have an all new Porsche PCM Management system and BMW IX infotainment system respectively which compete with MBUX and JLR’s system. Let’s just try and be respectful, no use getting in a RUclips comment war over two sides which are both respectfully correct. I am extremely excited for the Sport SVR I think we both can agree it will be an extremely enthusiastic, and characterful performance SUV I just hope they match the performance with the heightened price tag.

@@as9211 the Land Rover website shows p530 at 4.3 0-60 which is the same as current SVR. My guess it’ll be quicker than that, and I’m almost positive a race will prove it.
