@@alicebate6384 That's not true, I have a 1050 and it makes the same whine in neutral with the clutch pulled in, this means that the gearbox won't even be spinning, the whine seems to be a trait of these triples and their valve train assembly.
@@sidecarbod1441 The only thing is it makes the sound proportional to gear load and wheel speed, not engine speed. Which points everything I know towards gearbox. I'm sure there is definitely some valvetrain noise too, but I think we could be hearing two sounds.
Something about the "un-stressed" beautiful sound of that triple that makes it deceptively fast. This video reminded me of what it felt like to ride a 2011 street triple 675 i had years ago. Super video and sound my friend👍

Agreed on the Street Triple comment. I got the Street Triple RS last year and also tested the Speed Triple. In the end I felt the Streety to be even more agile and balanced. And for my small height (172cm) it was perfect because it doesn't weigh as much. Still had to get a lowering of 20mm to make it really feel comfy for me :D

Nothing, absolutely nothing sounds as melodious as the triple. I know most people love their 4 cylinders but man this sounds so fucking unique I think it’s my favourite.

I'm surprised it doesn't have that notorious whistling sound of Triumph triple engine.... I'm actually a fan of this one over the whistle. It sounds very authoritative and has deep presence...
The whistle is the same but the 1050 engine is (mechanically) louder so it appears quieter. The balance shaft is driven by straight-cut gears that cause the whistling/whining sound.

I test rode the Brutale 800 and even though it had less hp than my Street, the way it delivered it in the most aggressive engine map, was amazing. A little nervous in the handling though.

It's not just the whistle missing, it's the pop and spit on the overrun. Half the fun of a triumph triple is decelerating! Still sounds awesome great video.
Blasted my mt 10 around the harz mountains in Germany, watching your vid makes me wonder if the speed triple is the future for me. Also on another trip rode my 1090 mv brutale but found it not as good as the mt 10. Test ride needed I think on a speed triple. Loverly sound. Looks like you had a great ride. Ride safe.

@@Schaaf yes it does, a 2018 rs 100% has a quick shifter, but only up through the gears and not down. Then after 2020 it’s up and down with an autoblipper. So it’s either been removed or they just didn’t tell you it had one 🤣
Do you mind asking me why your iso is locked to 100? I’m assuming it’s the minimal iso. I’ve been playing around with settings on my GoPro but can’t really figure the iso out.

I only rode the 2011 model. It's a little bit more agile but still a proper Speed Triple. Needs a bit of force on the bars
