I assume this is for EU Passport holders only and starting in Terminal 1. It would be helpful to have a video for Non-EU passengers connecting flights from Terminal 2 to 1 and vice versa. In addition, letting us know where to go through security would be helpful.
What they fail to mention is this works only if you arrive before 13:00, after that , you have to get out of the airport then enter again 😉 through all controls, which is ridiculous 🙄
I have a trip in september and my layover to change planes is 1 hour and 30 mins .. I arrive and leave from Dublin Terminal 2 .. is it enough time?? I just seem worried about it but if its the same terminal then no problem right???

If I arrive on an Aer Lingus flight from the UK but am self connecting to anr Aer Lingus flight to the USA with no checked bags, can I use flight connections or do I have to go exit and go back through security? Our tickets are not connected because we booked them at different times while planning our trip.
Hello, We have a flight arriving from Paris and departing to Miami, with a 4-hour lay-over in Dublin Airport, Terminal 2. Do we have to handle our luggage or is it automatically transferred? Thank you.
Zubair khan hey so how did it workout? I’m going through Dublin to the US soon. Did you have to go from terminal 1 to 2 ? Just if you happen to remember, I know you wrote that comment a long time ago
I will be transited at Dublin Airport at Terminal 1 and have an onward connecting flight at Terminal 1 too. Also, I don't need to recheck my baggage during the time I get here. In this case, do I need to ask for a short-stay visa or a transit visa?
I'd love to know too. This airport is the most unclear and ambiguous information mislead of all time. Probably drinking too much alcohol to share clear instructions for transit passengers.
I m traviling with ethiopian airline from addis ababa to toronto but i m transit to dubline airport do i need to see passport control or just security screening then connect the flight tell me guys
You’ve probably been and gone by now but in case this is any help, I think the answer is no. When I did this connection we didn’t go through any kind of Irish border check, only US preclearance.
@@huwharrhy6846 Hi! Can I please ask you more about your connection? I am arriving to terminal 2 at 2:50pm and depart from terminal 2 at 4:20 pm. Will I pass on my way Irish border immigration control? I know that between 4 am and 4 pm there is transit available, but these 20 minutes disturb me, and no one can properly answer me.
@@aminaisubilova4907 Hi, I was flying from the UK to the USA, both flights in T2 and the experience was really easy. When I got to the flight connections area, my boarding pass was scanned, then I went downstairs where I got asked where I was going. If you are connecting to the UK/Ireland you get your passport checked by the Irish border guards, otherwise you skip that step. After that you’re dumped out by the gates, and if you’re going to the US the preclearance facility is pretty much straight in front of you. It is very straightforward and unless your flight is late you will easily get to and clear the flight connections area before it closes.

Is Flight Connections Passport Control for everyone or just CTA onward flights? Do all passengers do flight connections security or just arrivals from where security doesn't meet EU standards?
NATHAN MCILVEEN Thanks. Regarding the CTA. I'm surprised they don't have passport control for Domestic Connections and it's done at the final airport instead.
NATHAN MCILVEEN they do also have some sort of flight connections after baggage reclaim in terminal 1 too, but then again no airlines passengers except perhaps Flybe and Air Canada use it on behalf of Aer Lingus. In T1 all connecting passengers go through regular immigration.
This is such a stupid airport. Had a connection for a flight with the two planes standing next to each other on the platform at terminal 1. Had to walk a very long stretch to the central hall, go through immigration (???), very unfriendly and slow security (with lousy scanners so with many false positives and waiting for additional check) and then a long walk back via a shopping mall to the same place I came from. Took me over an hour even with an e-passport. Very long queue for those who did not have one...

i bet 99% of people who are connecting in dublin flying with aer lingus . which are based in T2 .
