Explosive Hunter Build for INSANE XP | Season of Discovery | Phase 2 Hunter Leveling Guide

- Hey Hunters! I put together a guide for the fastest leveling you can do right now in Season of Discovery phase 2. Spell cleave groups can pull CRAZY XP and I found it to be a ton of fun with this hunter build.

Paladin Tank with Kings, Drop Aspect of the Lion, run Lone Wolf, pets dont really do much good when fighting massive pulls, but the 30% damage from Lone Wolf is wild for Explosive shot/trap & Multi shot , thats what i leveled on and it was GODLY

Common.. you say its for leveling then use runes that you cannot obtain until you are mostly done leveling..
after countless farming for the "aspect of the viper" with no luck. i decided to see if i can solo the dog boss with melee build, and it dropped. A real game changer.
I don't understand why people are having problems with the books. My first ever GY dropped a book off a random mob in the torture room at lvl 27.
@@samkaeppel1160 you just have that luck. took me 6 levels of SM grinding to get mine.
@@kolpants same, I lost count of the number of GY runs I've done but it finally dropped last night. Man, what a difference! Haven't had to drink since.
It only drop in gy from rare
I got it from library, so thats not the case
It's still BiS talents for melee hunter right? The nerf coming means 2h melee will probably be better (hopefully).
i leveled with these exact runes, so much fun and super efficient
I did this same build
You actually want to ditch lion and run lone wolf
Key is to do massive pulls with your pet and eye of the beast (make sure to get something with dash)
Similar to old eye of kilrogg pulls
You can do cath in 2-3 pulls this way
A big problem I had was finding groups as idiots dont know about hunter aoe potential
Also doesnt help that there is multiple hunters saying 'aoe build' in lfg/general who are just running a normal build
Only problem I see is me running melee hunter with both runes at 32 doing 2 times the dps as this
Lion ain’t worth it for a spell cleave grp. The extra health doesn’t help much if you pull right. Run lone wolf instead for crazy explosive shot damage..
I dunno I think it depends. Seemed to help my tank with threat in some groups. 10% stats is pretty huge. But yeah LW Def results in biggest personal gains but with this build lion also double dips with expose weakness and additional agi from talents
Lone Wolf isnt scaling with explosive shots, tried it yesterday.
@@as4dasso there is no need to have it for higher damage traps and explosion shot?

does explosive trap or explosive shot receive any spell coefficient form + damage and healing??
Explosive trap and serpent sting both scale off spell power in classic. Explosive shot scales off RAP.
I don't think it's worth using fire spell power gear for trap, just normal gear to power explosive shot, multi, and autos

How do you get that xp per hour meter?
There are several weak auras you can get for tracking that
What's the addon that tracks your traps?

Why dont use pet gorilla? its too aoe
It doesn't scale. Really bad.
One minute cooldown on gorilla ability isn't worth it really. Gorilla is fine for soloing if you want aoe threat, but not good for dungeons
Or just go melee and do twice the damage 😅
