You are missing quite a few Baby Monster songs. Watch their pre debut Dream. It is also vocal song. Also must watch is Like that exclusive performance video. Charlie Puth wrote the song in 2018 but never released if until he gifted the song to Baby Monster to officially release in 2024 as a Baby Monster original. Also the latest song, Forever.

SITM is such a beautiful song to listen to and the video is so awesome.
'Sheesh' is currently my favorite song, even though all BM songs are so good.
But somehow, SITM videos (BTS, reactions, etc) are by far what I listen to the most, I love this song and M/V so much.
And Asa's part is my favorite.

So this one and Batter Up are the the two MVs without Ahyeon, but you should definitely definitely check out Dream which was released following the member announcement video and its just gorgeous and emotional with a great MV, and I’ve watched many grown men and women cry over it - the girls themselves could barely make it through the song during their first performance in Thailand (I dont think Chiquita was able to make it through a line) its just so touching.
I think your description of Asa’s voice is so accurate wow - during LE when she showed her vocals off really for the first time in years apparently, all the trainers, senior artists, and YG himself were like wait what you sing so well?? Also during the LE, YG said that he felt at peace when he heard Pharita’s voice and I do think that’s a super accurate description of her vocals always but whats so nice about SITM is that all the girls give that same feeling, but each with their own style and charms (like how you pointed out Chiquita’s use of vocal fry). Fun fact - thats actually Ruka and Asa going back and forth on the “my love my love my love my love” part!
You should definitely check out Rami’s Lee Mujin episode she went freaking crazy on it! He literally told her she was a little celine dion (other people have said shes like a young amy winehouse or adele also), and she definitely leaned into that RnB soul of hers

Sheesh this Dream song sounds like it's gonna be "heavy heavy" when listening. Had to go back and dial in on the "My love" back & forth, thanks. Aaaand noted! Rami sticks out to me most rn, so that's top tier info lol

YG always have a reason behind every song put out. Of course the primary reason is to showcase the girls vocals after the hip hop rap heavy Batter Up where there were heaps of comments for more vocal songs. But somehow I keep thinking this song is the aftermath result of the Stuck in the middle contract that Blackpink girls finally signed with YG. YG got the group contract but lost the individual solo contracts so rather Stuck in the middle is it not?

Actually, yeah... that's a pretty fair direction for your thoughts to go ngl. Gotta be complicated behind the scenes

Asa's part was also a melodic rap which is the reason that it was very staccato. It sticks out in that part because of the way that she attacks the words. But that is very much Asa's style. The funny thing is that she can also sing if she wanted to. Ruka's part after was more of a flowing rap and the end of that section "My love, my love, my love, mo love" was sung by both rappers. Most people don't realize that this is a rap section in the song.
The layering of the voices at the end showed just a small portion of what they are capable of doing. Also, keep in mind that they are down one member in this video. This is the second song that they released as OT6 because Ahyeon was on hiatus. They have rerecorded this song and BATTER UP when Ahyeon returned.
And think about this, they were younger at this point. 14 - 21 so portraying these emotions is not something they have personally experienced but they still were able to convey the message.
