People always try to find something to hate especially when it comes to YG artists. Idk why. Everything was forced hate. Maybe because YG artists are full of talented people. Haters should be grateful that YG didn't do a good job in promoting their artists. If they do, YG artists will absolutely crush this industry. BTW, Ahyeon will join Babymonster in April. They will drop their 1st mini album on that month. Stay tuned for more.

From pre debut I was a Pharita bias then after Batter Up came i switched to an Asa bias with Chiquita and Rora as my bias wreckers. Now after this I've switched to an Asa and Rora bias with Chiquita and Pharita being my bias wreckers lol.
Asa's visual, vocal and tone is so clean and clear i don't know how to explain it's like a water her tone is so unique 😭🔥

Yes, Batter Up was just telling everyone, "hey y'all we're next". The title should pretty much say it. I hate that there do be a lot of toxicity surrounding these talented young girls. But i would rather focus on the group rather than engaging with the haters. I love BM and I will support them no matter what.

I agree with you, Caitlin! I also think that Batter Up was like an announcement that they're going to be a part of YG. And I also feel sad that people are throwing hate on them when they just debuted not too long ago. It was insane! It's easy for them to say all of that stuff to them without thinking how their words could have an impact on them! Like, c'mon they're just a group of young girls who strive to achieve their dreams, give them a chance!

Everyone wanted them to showcase their vocals. This is it. This is a vocal Flex.
Even rappers Asa and Ruka sound amazing. Subtle raps, holding back from breaking out into full rap.
Rora, Rami, and Chiquita killing it then Pharita comes in with the high notes.

*I especially loved Rami, Rora and Asa.* Their vocals are absolutely breathtaking❤️, but i want to say a few words about Rami in particular, her voice sounds so unique and easily recognisable but also it doesn't distract you from the song itself. She's amazing in switching between deep vocals and high notes, it's so smooth ❤️

Batter Up is a global hit. It broke a lot of records. Majority loved it. Forced hate coming from stans of other groups who are threatened and those with beef with YG.
BabyMonster has finally brought back vocals to Kpop. I am so tired of groups highlighting synchronized choreography to mask their week vocals. Kpop idols are singers, so they should be able to sing live. If I love dancing, I will stan dancers.

I just think a lots of people don’t like the song batter up due to because it’s YG. YG always has that hip hop style and sounds. YG is more western than being a normal K-pop style song and of course the YG scandal.
That's literally YG's brand and that what makes them apart from other company. In the world of kpop that mostly has cutiepatootie songs they created their own brand that's very unusual in kpop and it became their brand for years and year and no one will take that away from them. Only a few did not like Batter Up. Look at the number of streams 211 million views and growing. It broke many records even BP's and won an award, Rookie's group of the year in one short month after it was released. Haters don't know what they are talking about!!

@@g.m.bautista2933👍 Yes, you are right, BU is an upbeat, catchy and appropriate for a debut song for BM ages, and Dream is a more meaningful song as the girls were selected to debut. S in TM is YG way to show the girls vocal ranges and 'other motives'... YG and their producers know what they are doing (not that I agree all the times). BM has many competitions from the 4 & 5th gen's who are very talented. S in TM is geared toward the international market rather than in Korea building the fan base showing BM ranges from what I see from the reactions. Of course, there are always haters, but there are more positives than negatives. Not all songs will be a hit, but as long as it serves a purpose...

History repeats itself and haters are going to hate.
Since the beginning of 3rd gen K-POP, the debut song of every YG created group (Winner, iKon, Blackpink, Treasure, Babymonster) follows the signature YG sound and style. This is done on purpose to acknowledge what their seniors have built and to show that they are a part of that YG Family legacy. The debut music video will also have easter eggs and homages towards their seniors. The subsequent songs from the group are the actual indicators of what that YG group's concept and sound will be.
Basically, their debut song shows they are a part of the YG family and their second song shows why they are different from the other YG groups.
Because of this adherence to the YG formula for the debut song, every new YG group gets hate and criticism for being an unoriginal copy of the previous gen group and the song gets marginalized as being the pervious group's rejected song.
The amount of hate significantly increases the newer the group is from 2nd gen YG.
Seeing all the hate about "Batter Up" being unoriginal and being a rejected Blackpink song, simply reminds me of when Blackpink debuted and they were hated and criticized for being an unoriginal copy of 2NE1 with their song "Boombayah" being hated as a rejected 2NE1 song.
History repeats itself.

They’ve been pretty upfront about their game plan. Mini album dropping April 1st, full album expected this fall and they bumped up their in-house producers from 10 or so to somewhere between 40 and 50 so all YG artists should benefit.

It's pretty sad tbh coz batter up and stuck in the middle needs the recognition it deserves. But since yg was waiting for ahyeon so there's not a single promotion for them. So i really considered Batter up and sitm as more like an introduction songs than and actual debut.

The agency does not promote or take advantage of its groups as most of us would like and yet they manage to achieve achievements that many with double the promotion-production do not achieve 🤷
