That was an absolutely stunning waterfall! Loved the fall colors, the campfire looked inviting and the church was beautiful. Nice presentation as always, Tom.I see you got an id on the snake!
Wasn't that church cool, I just love it when something unexpected comes up when exploring these places! Yes the fall color made it!! Appreciate your kind feedback as always!
Got to love those pet friendly trails...gets a big tail wag from Otis for sure! and a beautiful waterfalls to boot...makes for a fantastic day out...thanks so much for sharing...
Thanks so much! Site 8 is easily 60 ft long, but its the grade getting around the camping loop that is so steep, but I think 40 ft and under wouldn't be an issue. We don't pretend to be experts on all RV's, our latest is a small 30ft class A.
Thanks for that info. We have a 30 foot travel trailer but looking to upgrade to a fifth wheel that’s alittle longer but under 40. Once again thank you
We too are impressed with this park. Did you tow a camper in/out; what kind/size? Is this the park where ppl have bottomed out and lost brakes coming/going on the steep entrance grade?
Hey John, we visited in October trying to catch the Fall color! People were wearing masks at the lodge or in the resort facilities and some were on the hiking trails. Hope that helps.
There were some paths that you could use a stroller to get to the main overlook for the waterfall. The stairs portion wasn't possible but you could still take in the falls and have great views, the main views I showed were from the level you could have gotten to with the stroller! Hope I helped :)
I am going to attempt to walk this next week. I'm on the heavier side, so I hope I can do it! I love waterfalls!
Herpteologist here - The snake is not venomous or poisonous. It appears to be either a Garter or Ribbon Snake which are fairly common in the area.
Thank You for that clarity!! I am not a snake fan lol! Never seen one in Fl. like it!
Live here, it sure looks like a brown snake to me. Either way non venomous.
Best video! So happy I happened on to this beautiful presentation.

Hey I was wondering, do you know if it ever snows in that area?
@@CampTravelExplore , there was snow in Blue Ridge, GA when we were there but not at the Amicalola.
does activities come with this ? and also breakfast in bed and the dining dinner package ?
We too are impressed with this park. Did you tow a camper in/out; what kind/size? Is this the park where ppl have bottomed out and lost brakes coming/going on the steep entrance grade?
It is a steep grade so longer fifth wheels would struggle a bit I think. We stayed in the Lodge on this trip through this time!
That's a Garter snake nonpoisonous very common here in Michigan
Ty!
Love all your videos. Can you tell me when you went there and were there a lot of restrictions due to Covid?
Hey John, we visited in October trying to catch the Fall color! People were wearing masks at the lodge or in the resort facilities and some were on the hiking trails. Hope that helps.
My vaca there is gonna be long overdue. 😊
Is this place stroller friendly ?

Garter snake. Harmless
Thanks Mike, appreciate that!
10 miles from home.
So great you can enjoy it anytime you want!!
Garter snake
TY so much!!
That is a common garter snake. The round eyes are a give away that is is non venomous. Still can give a painful bite!
Thanks for that, wasn't totally sure!
Snakes have venom not poison glands. Use venomous when applicable. Thanks.
Thanks for that insight! He was kind of cool loking!
Good point
Garter snake. Non poisonous
That was a garter snake non venomous
I have since learned that lol. Thanks for checking it out!
