keep it up man!! I am in the same boat right now learning Lee. I am having too much fun even though I am losing way more due to execution. The time investment will be worth it though. I know it!!

It's ugh... Gonna be very easy at first but gets progressively more difficult as kazuya is a well known legacy matchup where 90% of your movelist is susceptible to step left. Good luck I managed to make it to battle ruler in less than a year with kazuya soo keep going. Also db4 with kazuya is a god tier low that's -12 I barely see you use it +4 on hit. Stay safe

@@MajinKrow cd1+2 aswell, will give you a mid to mixup with your hellsweep that will give you the same frame advantage *and* chip damage on block so you can keep your turn while also doing damage.

He got to purple rank because purple isn't high & T8 promotes mashing. You're matched up by prowess, not by your rank.

Semi Professional Player. Kazuya is a fundamental/executioner character, his difficult to get in but once he gets in, he goes hard. He barely has any cheesy moves, he is the most pure fundamental character. it takes years to master him. But that's what makes him fun to play.
You should practice your movement, don't stand still for long periods, wiggle around so your opponent will keep guessing. Poke abit at far/middle distances, if you're close to the player. FF 3 and F,4 is pretty good kick moves.
I'm writing this as i watch the video.
Yeah, it's called scummy. But thank god there's replays haha. (It's actually pretty good, practise on it.) Hwo can be scummy, but also super hard to play. You can mainly duck and punsh his kicks.
Tekken 8 Ranked is mid at the moment, the game is just too easy to rank up, game filled with 50/50s and cheesyness. And the heat, heat, i hate the heat 😭😂 . Purple rank in T8 is green rank in T7.

Thanks for the advice! I definitely look forward to learning with him. I think I kinda messed myself up playing with some gimmick guys early and it made me not focus on the basics, so I’m being forced to do that with Kaz lol. I definitely gotta work on movement

@@MajinKrow All good g. And yeah dang true haha, i was in the same boat, i played Gimmick early. (I swear i'm not a meta person lol.) But yeah man, focus on the basics, as long as you practise wit' fundaments, you can pretty much be good with any char lol. Tekken Lounge and The online practise/Replays are pretty good to learn, Replays show you what moves to punish, duck, sidestep etc. It's actually insane how much knowledge you can get out of replays.
I'll show you a trick. (Sorry gatekeepers lol.) Go into Tekken settings, go into game settings, rollback settings > Prioritize Response.
