I discovered that whenever a very big account reports you.. Regardless of if you're right or wrong.. X shadow bans you... This was helpful.

Probably what happened to me. I muliposted @ a big Nazi account. I appear to have been shadowbanned for about 7 days so far. My views and impressions on my 5000 follower account have dropped to almost zero.
I don’t know but I know now that I’m super glad I didn’t pay for premium which I almost did.

It seems so easy to run afoul of the new X without knowing the offense. About a month ago, my longtime, primary X acct (of 7 years) was suspended without explanation. I wrote to "Appeal" it. Several days later, I received a terse form letter that said the account was "Permanently Suspended." It said not to write back, as no one would be reading my subsequent communication. I did, luckily, have a back-up acct, and have been using that one. It feels that I'm still being limited and shadowbanned with the backup account's algorithm. I had been active on X with 16K followers. Some longtime followers have found me, but it's impossibly hard to rebuild. The Landlord has become less tolerant of those not politically aligned with him, and doesn't seem in good spirits, increasingly. I'm wondering if I should just not use the backup account for a week, then try again. Sorry for length. Whatever advice you can offer, I'd be very grateful.

Do not post repetitive content.
Do not interact with people that have been SB
Do not post links for other sites. I am almost sure that 1 SB was due to posting a reddit link.
That’s a great point. Posts that include links to other sites are automatically deboosted. I’ve never been shadow banned for posting a link, but usually my posts that include links get less impressions.

It's been months now. I hardly ever use it but I USED TO get traction to my account - not even so much as one view now. It's incredibly irritating. I don't break the rules but I'm still shadow banned.
One thing you can pay attention to besides that particular platform is to also pay attention to other platforms. Let's say you get temporarily banned on here or even on Facebook. The best thing you can do is clear your activity logs and just start new. On Facebook it's too much work to have to individually delete stuff like every single comment, so you just have to do it little by little until they give you a mass delete of all comments. The best thing you can do is leave your posts up for a short time and don't let them get ahead of you. Then after a while, go back and delete all old posts
Another thing you can do that you mentioned in another video is open a new account, which can be a burner account. This would be especially needed if you're very active on a specific platform and you need your accessibility to stay open. Be careful not to reveal that it's actually you. If necessary, put that new account on another device on a different network in a different location
Facebook and these other platforms are now using AI to do all the dirty grunt work for them. AI does not sleep and works 24/7 without pay. AI only does what it was programmed to do by those who created it. Those who created it have embedded their own thoughts, feelings, and moral values. AI will work tirelessly at its task regardless if these thoughts, feelings, and moral values are good or bad. This is a genie that will be hard to put back in the bottle unless you just pull the plug or start using alternate platforms.
It's been more than a week now, I'm totally inactive. Not even using the app anymore and yet I'm still shadow banned. It's frustrating. Don't know what to do.

@@user-ph2lo4gv3g it took approx 7 days to get my acc back to normal. I literally logged out of my ID for those 7 days. It happened twice and I did the same things both times. Just don't spam comments instantly and you will never get shadow banned. Try to take a gap.

I've been shadow banned 4 times in a row.
The 2nd time I got rid of everything that could "break the rules" (even though it really wasn't) and still got shadow banned a day after.
And that just keeps happening; I wait 1 week, it gets removed, and the next day I'm shadow banned again. This last shadow ban I waited 1 week, it got removed, then I waited an extra week just in case and the account was totally fine until today that after 15 days I decided to log in again, I posted something, and got shadow banned 10 minutes later.
Any ideas of what could I do? 😓
It’s possible that you are posting too close together. I had this problem when I was trying to get to 5 million impressions.

There's nothing you can do. The content filtering algorithm is totally psychotic. For more than 2 weeks, all my replies have been showing under PROBABLE SPAM. I've been a Twitter user since 2010. Never before have I been shadowbanned. This happened very suddenly and unexpectedly. I rarely post, and my posts are never inflammatory. I cancelled my Premium subscription. FYI, you can be a paid user and still get deboosted. Ridiculous.

I'm an artist. Last year, my post got 16k views, one month later, it barely touce 100 views. It's really frustrating and put mo down to create art since no one is seen it. It's still got shadowbanned until this day, one year later. I'm not active at all, i waited for months, it's not fixed the account. I don't know what to do.

When you subscribe to Premium, they have to review your account before you get a blue check. That’s what the review is. It should take about 5-7 days.
I have made a new account on twitter and its anyway hard to gain followers but this shadowban (which new accounts apparently get) is making it even harder and i dont have a single problematic post….what should I do?
Take it easy for the first month or two. New accounts tend to have problems if you post too much
I made a new account to post my art there. Posted one art piece the first day, to show my thanks for a very positive response, I posted sketch of upcoming art, I replied to my followers comments and I got shadowbanned. I guess I care for communication with followers too much for X.
If it's a brand new account you have to take it slow. Accounts younger than 30 days get shadow banned very easily.

All of this is good info Jacob - and I believe you. But the subjective element is the source problem, guidelines, etc.. I'm not advocating foul language or threatening language or anything like that. With me, it's all political and religious factors that the algorithms suppress on my posts. X simply doesn't like my narrative - and that is programmed into X's algorithms.
Some people say that acting like a normal human will fix it better than being silent for days. I've been banned for weeks now without noticing and I kept talking and doing my things. I went quiet for 7 days and it didn't lift the ban. So now I'm trying to interact and be normal, see what happens. Any suggestions for my search suggestion ban?

It happens when you use VPN which randomizes your location. That triggers it too, it seems.

Hi Jacob, according to the yuzurisa shadowban test site I only have a search suggestion ban since 4 days, so I have 2 questions for you:
- should I continue to wait or is there a specific way to fix it ?
- Does this kind of ban prevent my tweets from going to the "for you" section of users who don't follow me?
1. Yes, make sure you have deleted the posts that got you shadow banned, then don’t post until it goes away.

Some are saying they posted something then 10 minutes later they were shadow-banned. How can you tell you're being shadow banned other than noticing your post has no views?
Create a second account that doesn't follow your primary account, then look at your replies. If the replies are in "probable spam" or "show additional replies" you are shadow banned.

Twitter recently gave me a "label" which seems to be the new shadow ban with that improved transparency (though there still seems to be no way to appeal it through support tickets). Some people who have received labels said their notifications indicated that they were temporary, but mine just says "We've added a label to your account which may impact its reach." without mentioning it being temporary. Do you know if this is a permanent decision? I use my account for art, and have deleted all posts that could have possibly triggered it. My posts are in fact being heavily suppressed and barely reaching a fraction of what I was before getting that label. It's only been a few days, but any suggestions? Thanks!

@@JacobCEdmunds Yes, I had artistic nudity (though not depicting any sexually explicit acts, there was nudity) in some posts which I have since removed from my page. I do believe this is the cause of the label on my account which I understand, I should have been marking those posts, I'm just hoping it's not permanent as I've put a lot of work into this account
The games x plays are hilarious. Im literally blocked from using the entire platform. It tells me im suspended for 6 days from the time you hit the start button... i hit the start button and it keeps reloading to the same page... i cant even scroll lol

You might just need to change your settings. Go to Settings > Privacy and safety > Your posts.
Then make sure “mark media you post as containing sensitive material” is turned off.
I know that I do not get notifications OR ads if I am shadowbanned, and yet I have no idea what I did. I just got out of an SB of 10 freaking days and then a few days later, again. I am getting ready to say F twitter.
Two questions:
1.) Can you get shadowbanned for changing your username and display name too often in a few minutes to a few days (i wasnt satisfied until now)? My account and tweets dont show up in search AT ALL and its the only reason i can think of since ive just been using the site like usual otherwise, and the issue seems to have arisen the same day (today) i made the last username change. The only other thing i can think of is that i cleaned up obvious bot followers recently, but it was like a week ago.
I dont post a lot. I retweet maybe 5 posts a day max (none of them mine), usually less. Ive only used a hashtag like. Once. I retweet NSFW art but that has never been a issue until now and isnt an issue for any of the people who rt it on my timeline in the first place.
2.) Is it okay if i still scroll my timeline as long as i dont like/rt/post etc. anything, or should i log out completely?
1. It's possible that caused your shadow ban, but it's more likely that the issue was caused by retweeting NSFW art. Maybe a combination of both.
2. Yes, you can still scroll.

I think I was shadowbanned for making the same reply post to multiple accounts within a few minutes. I don't know how I could ever find them to delete them. Any ideas? Thank you for your help!
When in doubt, wait it out. Simply taking a break for 2-3 days should fix a shadow ban almost every time.
Twitter flagged my account for suspicious activity. Basically the only difference NOW is they’re not sending my replies. When I log into another account and go to the post I commented on my reply is not there. However on my main account it shows I replied but obviously it’s not REALLY there. I can’t find the message to appeal it, what do I do?

Here's a very important question. Can you get Shadow banned from being hated by other's and by these haters creating multiple posts about you? Even if you interact with them very little, or not at all?
No. If that was possible, celebrities, athletes, and Elon Musk himself would get crushed by shadow bans. It is only impacted by what you do.

So don’t interact with them at all? Even if they’re accusing me of things I haven’t done and posting doctored screenshots of me from Facebook?
Here's one more question for you. One of twitters policies is someone may not post screen shots of ANYTHING from your Facebook or other social media platforms without your permission, especially if those contents were never posted by you on twitter yourself. I have reported these hateful entities about a dozen times. Twitter got back to me saying no policies were violated even though one of their explicit policies is NOT to post content about someone else without their permission from other social media platforms.What can I do? @@JacobCEdmunds
You cannot get shadow banned because of someone else’s actions. You can only get shadow banned because of your own actions.
If X support didn’t solve the issue, then I would recommend just blocking the person/people and ignoring them.

Follow the steps in the video. Just wait for a few days until your shadow ban goes away and then don’t repeat the behavior that got you shadow banned.

the shadow ban i have is actually really bad
1. it makes my replies not even appear under tweets from someone else's POV
2. it wouldnt show the quotes i made in the "view quotes" button in the tweet from someone else's POV (this applies to liking and reposting too!!!)
3. and yeah, it wouldnt even notify them that i liked, reposted or quoted their post

my friend has been thread banned (her replies are hidden and i can't see her posts on my following page. also don't get notified when she likes or replies.) for like 5 days now. I'm pretty sure its because her account is 2 months old yet she has about 800 posts. i know that's a bit excessive, but i feel like her ban should have been lifted by now. she had toned down her tweets and even stopped tweeting at all for about 3 days. we're both getting worried at this point.
also, all of the sites that checks for bans says she's good but we know for certain she ISN'T. that's also concerning.

@@JacobCEdmunds I can read her posts on her profile, but when I click on a reply to any of her posts, the post says "this post is unavailable" and anytime she replies to comments, you can't see her reply at all unless you go to her replies tab and don't click on the thread
Here’s the main problems I see:
1. Too many hashtags
2. Too many reposts
To start, I recommend she stop doing both of those things.

I have been on X for about a week in a half now. As far as I can tell, I have followed the rules and have not done anything that would warrant a flag or used trigger words. But for some reason, I have been asked 5 times already to do this arkose challenge and this morning I got a red flag label restricting my account. I am not 100% sure how Twitter/ X works but I have followed some pages from verified accounts, and I have shared or repost some of their content. I have also made some comments, but I can assure everyone, it was never anything bad at all. So, I don't get it. Looks like I will be deleting soon since I am having this issue. Unless someone has another suggestion? I have tried the contact us support page but have gotten no where with it.

New accounts can get shadow banned really easily, even if they are following the rules. Take it slow for a couple weeks and then gradually ramp up

Taking a break is the best way to fix your shadow ban
since october i’ve been ghost banned and i tried deactivating my acc and it didn’t work, then i didn’t used for 3 weeks and it kinda fixed it but it worked completely normal for 3 days and got banned again, idk what is wrong i’m srsly tired :(

Hi! I've gotten a ghost ban 4 or 5 times in a row. I would wait 4-12 days for the ban to go down and then I would slowly get active (about 1-2 tweets a day max, sometimes less) but after a week I would get ghost banned again and again. I also got "confirm you are a real person" type locks and twice I got a temporary label. My profile only contains arts and they are not NSFW. What can I do about this?

You should not be deleting posts very often. Every once in a while is fine, but if you are constantly deleting posts, X will think you are a bot.

Yes. In order to fix your shadow ban, you need to take a break from posting for a few days until your ban is gone

You don’t need to log out. You can keep viewing other people’s posts, just don’t interact at all. Don’t post, like, comment, repost, reply, etc

Yes, I would recommend treating your label the same as a shadow ban. If your reach is being limited, then take a break from interacting for a few days

Hi Jacob, look, Twitter has just gave me a shadowban (ghost ban and reply boosting), for deleting two tweets, they had already given me two shadowbans before and each time I was under a shadowban I had to go 1 whole week without using Twitter, My question is: is it possible for Twitter to shadowban me for deleting two tweets at the same time? Yes, it is possible. If you take too many actions in a short period of time, you can get shadow banned because X thinks you’re a bot.

Hello! I've been shadowbanned and I have no idea why it did happen. I don't have any problematic tweets, so, I really have no idea and I'm kind of lost.
I guess I have to wait, but I'd say I've been shadowbanned around 4-5 days ago. So... my first question is, how do I know if I'm not shadowbanned anymore? Because if I tweet or anything it will restart the days, right? Also, getting into my account but no interaction (no tweets, no likes, etc) is ok? Or scrolling reading tweets is enough for the days not to count?
The only thing that could shadowban me was to interact with someone that has been shadowbanned or something. So... how do I know if someone has been shadowbanned?

First, I would encourage you to watch my other video “How to Avoid Shadow Ban,” which will answer some of your questions.
You will know if you’ve been shadow banned because your replies are hidden under the “show more” button. Use a burner account that doesn’t follow anyone to check this.
You are fine to view posts while you are shadow banned, but don’t interact. It may take up to a week to get fixed.
@@JacobCEdmunds Thank you for replying. I saw the video you recommended and I still don't know what I did wrong, and most importantly, when. I have no idea for how long I've been shadowbanned now. Anyway, I've just done some unfollows, deleted plenty of tweets (not sure whchi ones to delete, though)... I also read somewhere that using multiple hashtags can shadowban you, since it considers you are a bot... So confused :(.
I've logged out, since I read that it might help too, and plan to stay out for some time, but I totally have the feeling that it won't be enough.

Do the tweets that stopped appearing before (checking from other account) start appearing again, or those tweets are just marked forever or something? Right now, none of my replies appear, it doesn't matter if I check tweets from a year ago or from yesterday, they are not shown if I check from other account.
Once your shadow ban is removed, your replies will start showing up again. That’s how you’ll know your account is fixed.

I've done all the right things and been completely inactive for days and that did absolutely nothing... Do you know how could I get this resolved with Twitter? The customer support is basically non-existent and they deny shadowbanning. How do I get in touch with them to get my account clear?

Hi Jacob, I have tried staying out of Twitter for 3 weeks. But when I come back and post something I got a search suggestions ban yet again. It has been almost 2 months now. My content is Sfw I don't know what to do anymore. Do you think muting a lot of people can affect it? Your account looks fine right now. It's not shadow banned or search suggestion banned.
Sensitive content can cause problems and so can hashtags. I would avoid posting hashtags.

Perhaps like leaving it untouched or giving it a break for a few days or an entire week.
