I'm not sure but I think slugpup badassery might be affected by how much we carry them around? I'm not sure if it's true, but i read it somewhere and it seems reasonable, considering that if you were to be carried around like a baby your whole life you wouldn't learn much of anything... so maybe the less you carry them around while also showing them the ropes, the more likely they are to be a badass?
@@somniumoflight276 yeah, i try not to carry my pups too much but they cant get through some simple platforming alone…. they fight like champs though (sometimes)
@@somniumoflight276 i don’t think so, you can train your pups on simpler movement methods (backflips and the like) but i’m pretty sure whether or not they fight (and how well they do it) is based on their predetermined personality stats

If you always have them in your back, they wont help (they’ll be dependent) but if you let them be more independent and kill a lot of lizards, they’ll actually learn. I had a slugpup called “nube” (cloud in english) and when I got to a shelter, I always jumped. He saw me doing this, and hi started copying me!

i tried to train my slugpup Bort to defend me and my other slugpup but i think he’s gotten the wrong idea bc he would always run right at anything that looked dangerous, often into bottomless pits and through a scavenger tool once. i mean i had the cheiftan passage so did you really have to shove an explosive spear through the back of his skull?
i had a slugpup once named cyan, and i was going to subterranean through farm arrays, and i made it but didn't know the drop killed slugpups...RIP CYAN, you will be missed

My sons are both pretty vicious lizard hunters. Once they both destroyed a green lizard together all on their own, which I'd say is pretty impressive.

Other times they wander off of the nearest cliff the moment you sit them down to feed them.
I feel like there should be a secret campaign where if a slugpup kills whatever killed you, you start controlling them.
