The only disadvantage of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium is it can never host the Champions League Finals. Because Real Madrid often keeps winning it. It would be unfair to the opponent to host the UCL Finals at your home stadium. ¡Hala Madrid!
The old one was twenty years old. Before that, its appearance had nothing to do with the one before this last refurbishment. The Bernabéu, constructed in 1947, has undergone five major renovations, all of them deeply affecting its facade
*They have ruined the Bernabeu. They have overdone it. It was better before. Now it's an indoor arena. It's not a football stadium anymore. Football is an outdoor sport and football stadiums are outdoor arenas. This is an indoor arena. A hall.* *When you play football, you want to be playing outside in the fresh air. Not inside a hall. Otherwise it will feel like futsal* *They didn't need to change the stadium. It was already the best. There is no natural light entering the stadium and less air entering the stadium now. It's now dark inside. The huge roofs are casting huge shadows all over the Stands and pitch.* *The new 360 display at the top and the digital display in-between the stands are distracting and look out of place in the Bernabeu. They make the stadium less intimidating than before.* *I was very surprised when I saw real Madrid were changing the stadium. This was so not needed.* *The reason they were so successful is because of the stadium, now they have made the stadium worse.* *Less air flow in the stadium is going to make the players feel hotter. You need oxygen to feel lively and energised. No beautiful sunlight is entering the stadium like before.* *Bernabeu is an historic building. It was meant to look the way it was. It was timeless. You don't modernise historic buildings. It's like modernising Buckingham palace or the Eiffel tower. You don't. Making things modern is not always a good thing.* *The Bernabeu should have never ever been changed.* *This is the biggest mistake of Real Madrid's history. This is not the Bernabeu anymore.* *This is going to impact the team's performances because of the less air flow.* *The old stadium was perfect with the perfect size roof. The old roof was very small and didn't get in the way. The interior was full of natural light. A true football stadium.* *It was a historic stadium. It had that historic look and feel. You could feel the history and greatness of the club. They have ruined it.* *I think they have removed 1 or 2 of the front rows of seats as well, meaning the fans are further away from the pitch than before.* *They changed the colours of the seats to a darker shade of blue as well. The baby blue seats from before were better, it made the stadium brighter inside.* *The old stone exterior was better as well because it gave the stadium a historic look. Now it looks like any other modern building.* *They are doing the same thing to the camp nou. They have ruined that stadium as well. They are covering the stands with massive roofs. That iconic roofless camp nou look is gone. Looks like any other stadium now. Doesn't look special anymore. Doesn't look like the camp nou anymore.* *The two best football stadiums have been ruined.* *Why are all new stadiums getting massive roofs. Why do they think this is better. They are turning all football stadiums into indoor arenas. And they make the fans further from the pitch.* *They turned the Bernabeu into a hall and cinema. Atmosphere and noise shouldn't be the main focus. The old Bernabeu was perfectly balanced. Too much noise is going to be annoying. It feels like they are indoors when they are chanting because they actually are. The old stadium already had amazing atmosphere and i would say better atmosphere because it felt like a real football stadium. Now it feels like thousands of people just shouting inside a house. The sound is now contained so it's all scrambled and just noise. Even the fans will find too much noise annoying and naturally stay more quiet than they were before. The oxygen in the old stadium made the fans more lively. Now it's just fans shouting inside a hall.* *Why do they think playing with the roof closed is cool. They think having it closed to make the stadium louder will be better for the team. It will give the players a headache and be annoying* *Playing with the roof open will make the players perform better and get the best out of them because they will get the proper oxygen supply you are supposed to get when playing football. Now they can't feel the air or wind when playing.* *If the current players were playing in the old stadium they would be playing even better than they are now, especially in the hard knockout stages of the champions League. You need oxygen to be lively and energised. Oxygen makes chemical reactions happen in your body.* *Making things new and modern is not always a good thing. They should have thought what it was actually going to feel like in real life. Instead they saw renders and thought this is going to be amazing and better. They fantasied to much.*
I think the design itself is very nice, but it doesn't fit well in Madrid. As was said in the video, the stadium looks like a massive futuristic spaceship in the middle of Madrid and that doesn't fit the surrounding classical architecture that makes up the rest of the city.
The surrounding architecture is not classical. When the Bernabéu was built (1947), there was nothing in the surroundings but farmland and orchards next to the Castellana stream
Most buildings nowadays looks like circuits on a computer board, nothing beats the beauty of classical architecture. That ugly stadium looks like a giant radiator lol

Manchester united have the beat stadium in the world no doubt, when rain you can see the third highest waterfall in UK , real not even close
Someone told me it looks like an air fryer 😭😭😭 Can’t unsee it now!!!
It does from certain angle yes, it need lights like Allianz arena.
@@The28studio ALLianz arena looks like a Tire.
Madrid will rule europe
will ? It does and always will
Let's see 😂😂😂
Man United and Real Madrid were at some point dragging the richest club in the world...but the gap is soooo wide now with a leaking Old Trafford 😂😂😂
The only disadvantage of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium is it can never host the Champions League Finals. Because Real Madrid often keeps winning it. It would be unfair to the opponent to host the UCL Finals at your home stadium. ¡Hala Madrid!
Looks like a bose soundwave.
Lo tuyo suena a envidia
IT'S DOING IT ALREADY!
Hala Madrid y nada más!
Amazing stadium, but I miss the look of the old one. It was special.
The old one was twenty years old. Before that, its appearance had nothing to do with the one before this last refurbishment. The Bernabéu, constructed in 1947, has undergone five major renovations, all of them deeply affecting its facade
@@robert111k Although this looks pretty good too I'll miss the previous facelift, let's put it that way.
They are the top
feeling sad for Barcelona with millions of others.
Why? Barcelona has nothing to do with this.
Looks amazing 👏 Clever plan from the President
Morocco 🇲🇦trying to take away the 2030 World Cup final, with a new stadium without history...🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡They are just as arrogant as PSG.
2:38 so true...we are madrid a club of history not some sheikhs plaything
*They have ruined the Bernabeu. They have overdone it. It was better before. Now it's an indoor arena. It's not a football stadium anymore. Football is an outdoor sport and football stadiums are outdoor arenas. This is an indoor arena. A hall.*
*When you play football, you want to be playing outside in the fresh air. Not inside a hall. Otherwise it will feel like futsal*
*They didn't need to change the stadium. It was already the best. There is no natural light entering the stadium and less air entering the stadium now. It's now dark inside. The huge roofs are casting huge shadows all over the Stands and pitch.*
*The new 360 display at the top and the digital display in-between the stands are distracting and look out of place in the Bernabeu. They make the stadium less intimidating than before.*
*I was very surprised when I saw real Madrid were changing the stadium. This was so not needed.*
*The reason they were so successful is because of the stadium, now they have made the stadium worse.*
*Less air flow in the stadium is going to make the players feel hotter. You need oxygen to feel lively and energised. No beautiful sunlight is entering the stadium like before.*
*Bernabeu is an historic building. It was meant to look the way it was. It was timeless. You don't modernise historic buildings. It's like modernising Buckingham palace or the Eiffel tower. You don't. Making things modern is not always a good thing.*
*The Bernabeu should have never ever been changed.*
*This is the biggest mistake of Real Madrid's history. This is not the Bernabeu anymore.*
*This is going to impact the team's performances because of the less air flow.*
*The old stadium was perfect with the perfect size roof. The old roof was very small and didn't get in the way. The interior was full of natural light. A true football stadium.*
*It was a historic stadium. It had that historic look and feel. You could feel the history and greatness of the club. They have ruined it.*
*I think they have removed 1 or 2 of the front rows of seats as well, meaning the fans are further away from the pitch than before.*
*They changed the colours of the seats to a darker shade of blue as well. The baby blue seats from before were better, it made the stadium brighter inside.*
*The old stone exterior was better as well because it gave the stadium a historic look. Now it looks like any other modern building.*
*They are doing the same thing to the camp nou. They have ruined that stadium as well. They are covering the stands with massive roofs. That iconic roofless camp nou look is gone. Looks like any other stadium now. Doesn't look special anymore. Doesn't look like the camp nou anymore.*
*The two best football stadiums have been ruined.*
*Why are all new stadiums getting massive roofs. Why do they think this is better. They are turning all football stadiums into indoor arenas. And they make the fans further from the pitch.*
*They turned the Bernabeu into a hall and cinema. Now it's just fans shouting inside a hall.*
*Why do they think playing with the roof closed is cool. They think having it closed to make the stadium louder will be better for the team. It will give the players a headache and be annoying*
*Playing with the roof open will make the players perform better and get the best out of them because they will get the proper oxygen supply you are supposed to get when playing football. Now they can't feel the air or wind when playing.*
*If the current players were playing in the old stadium they would be playing even better than they are now, especially in the hard knockout stages of the champions League. You need oxygen to be lively and energised. Oxygen makes chemical reactions happen in your body.*
*Making things new and modern is not always a good thing.
