Well everybody on the prosecution side of his D.C. trial is fully on board with televising it. Judge Chutkan has put it out for Trump to agree to televising it which would be awful for him. But the orange man child is so starved for attention that I don’t think he could resist and I think he knows how uncharacteristically camera-shy he would look to suddenly reject the offer, it would almost be incriminating on its own.

Also, I don’t know why nobody is pointing out the fact that Trump seems to be suggesting a sort of “thought police” approach to the citizenry should he get a second term. He’s talking about purging people with ideologies he doesn’t like from institutions of higher learning. He’s talked about “quick trials” with the death penalty for theft and drug related crimes. He said that’s what the Philippines and China do, and it’s worked very well for them. I can’t be the only person who has noticed this and is alarmed by it.

Well, these kinds of shows are not "interviews", they're conversations. There’s a load of people around a table, so it's meant to be "non-linear" and the direction tends to follow were the conversation leads. It’s messier than an interview, but it can end up in more interesting places than a simplistic Q/A interview. Just a format.

I'm not convinced that he is actually running. I think he may very well grift his followers for as much legal fee money as we can and then pull out when financially convenient, claiming that he would have won but the system was against him (i.e. he's a martyr). Who from his former cabinet is with him now? Why do we not see his family campaigning with him? He's just bilking people for as long as he can and will blame others and run with the cash.
Whether you like him or not you would promptly concede that the words give up are not in his vocabulary.
