    I have a video suggestion for you.... Wills.... who are the best people to go to set up a will, what are the associated costs/fees, which is the most cost effective route?

    Sygnia vs 10X which one is preferred

    • @MoneyMarx
      @MoneyMarx  Год назад +1

      The Sygnia RA is cheaper, but I found the interface and customer service from 10X to be better than that of Sygnia. So it just depends what you deem more important. Fees do play a large role in the long term returns of retirement investments, so based off just numbers, I would rate Sygnia superior. But if you can't decide, then just do what I do and open a RA with both of them and split your RA allocation between both platforms :)

    Hi Pieter, I was wondering if you could do an in depth video on dividend investing and what are your thoughts on this investing style? There are a lot of youngish youtubers enthusiastic on this approach using etfs such as SCHD or higher yield divended stocks etc. Thanks for the portfolio update and nice new studio setup! All the best!

      Hey Daniel. Thanks, much appreciated! Jah I am planning on making a video about Dividend investing in the near future. Personally, I consider myself more of a growth investor and am therefore not too concerned about Dividends at my age as I do not need to live from my investment income yet. I also think one would be better off investing in growth assets instead of dividend assets over a long time horizon, due to the tax drag on dividend payouts. But jah, I will give my own analysis in a future video :)

    Good update. However, I personally don't like EasyProperties as the returns are paltry and unproven - especially for the tradeoff of having to lock in your capital.

      Thanks Sergio. I agree. So far it hasn't proven to be a useful way for me to invest, but I will give it some more time to see if it improves and then make an honest review video

      @@MoneyMarx - thanks for your response. Have you ever looked into Fedgroup's Impact Farming? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I know that it's an illiquid investment too.

    Thanks for the video Marks , where share a couple of etfs , I was wondering what your opion on the s&p 500 is ? And why you don’t invest in it ? I’m guessing you find total world superior

    • @MoneyMarx
      @MoneyMarx  Год назад +2

      Hey Ruhan. I think the S&P 500 is a great option for an ETF, but it is very concentrated on the US market, which had a strong run the past decade or so, but I'm not sure if it will continue to do so. Hence why I prefer ETFs that tracks the whole world's economy in order to avoid concentrated risk

    Hi. Thank you for the videos. I was wondering , which investment is a better return between your off shore investments vs our fixed deposit rates (12%) with a deposit of R20 000. What are the tax implications on both options.

    Hi Pieter. What is the advantages and disadvantages just using only my EE usd account for my us investment. I just use shyft when I move a larger amount (25k+) into my ee usd acc to get a better rate than ee’s build in fx transfer. Is the extra effort really worth it move my money to ib or webull? I will have no referrals so I just don’t see the use? Am I missing something important I am not seeing?
    Thanks for the content.

    • @MoneyMarx
      @MoneyMarx  Год назад +3

      Hey Robert. I think the built in FX transfer from EE is good enough for the EE USD account. The reason why I won't put all my offshore investments in the EE USD is because of situs taxes. All the investment products available in the EE USD account is domiciled in the US, where you can get klapped with high Estate Duty taxes upon your death. Hence why I use IBKR to buy Irish domiciled ETFs which does not have any Estate Duty taxes associated with it. I explain this in more detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/dkpOJ4nzmO4/видео.html

    Please give an update on Tymebank V/s money market fund for an emergency fund. A while back you mentioned Alan Gray being one of the better funds for an emergency fund. I am wondering what i should do as i have some money in Tymebank (goal save), wondering if i should rather put that money into The money market fund with Alan Gray?
