you knwo what? guys luckily I came up with solution. When screen asks you to change the disk, instead of pressing the touch screen until it pops up, just press the ps vita home button for a while then it will show you new set up menu to do so. Gosh it took me a while to figure it out. If you have updated to firm ware 2.6 this is the way to do it. :)
Got it. I made an updated video earlier this year due to this one being outdated, but decided to keep this one up for archival purposes. Just an idea for the 1.5x faster issue, have you tried changing the disc speed to normal?
Did they FINALLY include analogue controls for ps1 games on the Vita? This was (still is I think) famously missing from the original psp!! You could only map controls to the analog stick, but it would act as a d-pad again
I actually have a ton of save points at numerous places in the game. That file was for testing purposes to see how strong they'd be at various points in the end of the game. I do have another file where I maxed all of them out on everything. Thanks for watching! :-)

It seems like some models are able to do this and some models cannot, it will not work on mine when I do tend to want to play FFIX. Please do provide more detail info about this issue.

The PS button worked for me, I was getting worried when the touch screen was not working, I read somewhere that pressing the ps button will make it work, but it didn't holding it down did the trick. hopefully they won't update it again to some other arbitrary method, easy to do pain in the ass to figure out, Thanks for posting.
i was fiddling with the controls and now i can't use that menu and both saves on my ff8 are disk4 so now i can play the game at all what should i do please help

For certain games, there are analog controls, such as Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VIII. Other games don't, such as Final Fatasy VI and VII.

You need to just hold ps button and screen psp menu pop up, but after changing disk 2 on mgs 1 my game going like x1.5 faster, dont know what to do 😅

They updated the software to where you now have to press and hold the PS Button for five seconds to change the setting.
