Hi 👋 from Tennessee. I was honored to be in the group of hundreds of bikers that got to escort Mr.Daniels to his a final resting place. It's an awesome video that I'd love to send you guys if you'd like to see it. He was a great artist but a better man! And it's men like him that this world needs more of. Thx for keeping his music alive.❤️

I went to one of his concerts once , clear up in Washington state . In the middle of the show , all the lights went down , all instruments fell silent , and he sang Amazing Grace , solo , without any backup at all . When it ended , about 50,000 of us started stomping , and it felt like an earthquake in the Tacoma Dome .

All of these people have been discovered through reactions and people like you keep their legacies alive. I was at one of Charlie's Southern Jams in Memphis, Wet Willie had finished their set and Jerry Jeff Walker was onstage, very drunk. He was singing and playing very incoherently, down to three strings left on his guitar when Charlie appeared, the only way I can describe it is like a big friendly bear, put his arms around Jerry and quietly led him off stage. He then came back with his fiddle and finished Jerry's set. He then came back and his entire set. He earned my lifelong respect with his actions that night.
My favorite CDB song is Caballo Diablo, another great story!

Honored to say I had the privilege to see him perform live more than a dozen times over the years. The last time just 2 years ago. Some artists over time, don't realize that they are far past their prime. I saw another band last year they went from headlining act to opening act. They played 5 songs. FIVE songs. That was 6 songs too many. Charlie Daniels NEVER suffered from that. The last time I saw him (at a free concert no less) he was as GOOD, no BETTER than the first time I saw him. As for the hug, he certainly would have given you a huge one. Something else to point out, after Bob Hope passed only two entertainers came close to the number of USO trips to visit the US troops all over the world, Robin Williams and Mr. Charlie Daniels

Charlie Daniels was a force to see in concert! He was not very tall but on stage you would think he was 10' tall. We had a long weekend here in America. Labor Day is that final hoorah of summer, now we have that long wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I spent the day with my husband, his brothers and their families. We barbecued ribs, pork butts, and sausages and we had tons of sides and homemade peach cobbler for dessert. We played a hilarious game of Cards Against Humanity, and just shared tons of laughter and smiles. Now today (Tuesday) is my grandson's first day of 1st grade and he is spending the night with us so I will be taking all those 1st day of 1st grade photos because his mom has to work. Anyway, enough talking from me for now. I hope you had an amazing weekend as well. Tell Donovan hello and that I still have his mom in my prayers. I know that c-19 is a beast to recover from, I haven't forgotten your daughter I pray her knee is healing. Finally you are also in my prayers; I hated seeing you so upset regarding all those haters. You are so kind and fun and generous with your time and daily life and for people to make you so upset makes all of us who love you and your channel and what you do equally unhappy. Have a wonderful week and know that you are loved by so many of us around the world. God bless!

Charlie belongs in every hall of fame. People don't realize how much he did in music. He was a sought after studio musician since way back. He played guitar and bass on a couple of Bob Dylan albums back in the day. Also I believe a Leonard Cohen album. He played guitar, bass, banjo and fiddle. Years ago he was building a new fence on his place and was using a post hole digger. Well the power auger got ahold of his shirt sleeve and broke his arm and really did a job on his hand. He couldn't play for several months. When he was ready to get back to work he still had some trouble playing guitar because of his right hand, but he could use a fiddle bow with it. That's when he really became famous for being a fiddle player. The rest as they say is history. Just to show you how messed up things are with what passes for country music today, there are people who sound like everyone else who become Opry members after only a year or two, I believe Charlie got invited to join after being around for 35 years. SMH. Love your reactions, and you of course. You two stay safe and well.

Charlie Daniels was a master country music storyteller, blending country and rock in the same vein as Lynrd Skynrd or Charlie Pride. And the amazing thing, he wasn't from Texas or Alabama. He was a native of the coastal town of Wilmington, North Carolina.

There really are things down in the Louisiana Swamps that you Definitely Don’t want to run into Especially at Night. And a lot of people have gone missing in those swamps.

Wow. I'm always amazed at the skill of those playing a fretless guitar. That sure looks like what Charlie is playing here.

I wanted to see him on the stage so bad. He came to town and I didn't get the chance to see the show. He passed not long after that. I didn't get the chance.

Just saw this for the first time great reaction. And a fun fact my pop saw him 4 times live. He said every song ol Charlie played he had a different guitar for everyone of them. He said his guitar rack looked kinda like them clothin racks at the store.

Search Volunteer Jam on RUclips. You will be amazed at the line ups he had. The proceeds went to charity. He did that every year in Nashville, Tennessee or vicinity. Thus the name Volunteer Jam, Tennessee is known as the Volunteer State. My home state and we have always loved and accepted Charlie Daniels and claim him as our own even though he wasn't born and raised here.
